    My kids and I love to get out our water guns, and water grenades, and have a water fight. We hide behind the side of the house, or the garage, and ambush each other with the hose. This is something we do all summer long. However, on Memorial Day itself, we spend the day in quiet observance of the servicemembers who have given their lives to keep this country free. If we are anywhere near home (Illinois) we also go visit the graves of our loved ones who served in the military. I also serve in the military, and play bugle, and my son and I will play TAPS at the cemetery.
