At birth my husband, then our daughter, and finally our granddaughter were all born while five generations were still living. We have three succeeding pictures of the five generations. We believe that is pretty special!

My mother-in-law Lois Sage will celebrate her 92nd Birthday on Mother’s Day this year, she has 4 great-great grandchildren and will have 2 more in July. they will all be at a party for her on Sunday.
She loves having them around and looks forward to their visits. She still bowls with a league and is a very active lady.

My mother, Nellie Zimmerman, is 86 years old. She gave birth to 18 children, with 1 set of twins. She has 65 grandchildren,139 great grandchildren, and 18 great great grandchildren with 4 more on the way. She is the strongest and sweetest person I know. She is also "Grandma" to several non family members.

My 91 year-old mother (Johnie Davis) and my wife Diane's 83 year-old dad (Doran Waugh)became great-great-great grandparents on June 19, 2007 with the birth of Caleb Keith Dossey.
We are blessed to have our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and their families living in the Wichita area. Also on Sunday, most of the crowd comes to our home for lunch after church.

(If I knew how, I would post a photo of the 5 generations)

My grandma, Bertha Knipp, just turned 84 this year. She is the matriarch of a four-generation family, but that is only the beginning of her story. She had 19 pregnancies which resulted in 14 live births. The 19 pregnancies included 4 sets of twins, however, only 3 sets of twins lived. She has lived a strong life led by her Catholic faith. She has out-lived 4 of her children. She also has over 30 grandchildren and over 20 great grandchildren. She is known and loved by many. She is our Mema!

When I was born in 1983, I had a great-great-grandmother still living. She was 103 (I think) when she died in 1986. My last surviving great-grandparent died last year.
