I never allowed a computer or TV in their bedrooms. The computer is in the office and I can walk in anytime and see whats on the screen.

Our computers are in common areas of the home - one in the living room, one in the family room. The kids know they are not allowed to touch the computer unless an adult is in the room and can see the screen while they play. They have certain sites they can visit, as well - Nickelodeon, Disney, homework help sites suggested by the school, etc. All other sites are blocked.
