Today’s a sad day at the Eagle. Gardening writer Annie Calovich’s pet pug, Emeline, passed away early this morning. The sweet little girl was 14 years old, and she lived a long, pugtastic life. But that doesn’t make losing her any easier.
I’m particularly sad because Annie was the first "pug person" I ever knew, and she’s been a very good aunt to Norton, the pug who showed up at my front door two years ago and moved right in. No one loves pugs more than Annie, and I know she’s hurting today.
Here’s a question — have you ever lost a beloved pet, and if so, how did you deal with it? What can you say to or do for friends going through this difficult process?
