Moran keeps up attack on Obamacare

Though many business trade groups applauded the Obama administration’s decision to delay for one year the employer health insurance mandate, saying the administration listened to their concerns about needing more flexibility, Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kan., joined other GOP leaders in blasting the administration and Obamacare. “While the administration finally admitted that the employer mandate is unworkable in 2014, it now must recognize that the real problem continues to be the entire Affordable Care Act,” Moran said in a statement, adding that “the best course of action is to dismantle the ACA and replace it with practical reforms that are workable and will actually reduce health care costs.”

NSA programs ‘wholly constitutional,’ Pompeo says

Rep. Mike Pompeo, R-Wichita, recently defended the National Security Agency’s data-collection programs on John Stossel’s talk show on Fox Business. Stossel asked why Pompeo, who is normally skeptical of government, trusts it on this issue. Pompeo said that no one brings a deeper distrust of government to Washington, D.C., than he does, but that these programs are needed and “wholly constitutional.” He said: “There is incredible oversight from all three branches of government – exactly how the founders intended it.”
