The battle of the toxic campaign ads

Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post gave the pro-Obama super PAC, Priorities USA Action, his “Worst Week in Washington” award for its sleazy and inaccurate TV ad trying to link Mitt Romney and Bain Capital to the cancer death of the wife of a laid-off steelworker. Meanwhile, Dick Polman of the Philadelphia Inquirer wrote that Romney’s TV ad falsely claiming that President Obama is undermining welfare reform “collides with empirical fact” and “implicitly traffics in toxic racial stereotypes.”  And we still have three months to go before the election.
