Most of the national coverage of Wednesday’s GOP presidential debate focused almost entirely on Rick Perry and Mitt Romney. In fact, the McClatchy article that The Eagle published didn’t even mention Michele Bachmann until the last paragraph, listing her among other candidates “also participating in the debate.”
Meanwhile, Bachmann is getting some attention, albeit in parody form. Politico reported on a band that calls itself the “Michele Bachmann Overdrive.” According to band member Mike Sager, the band is trying to capture “the spirit of Michele Bachmann by being somewhat ill-prepared, not really up to the challenge ahead of it but going full speed ahead.”
