Will Perry’s lead last?

Though it’s still very early, Texas Gov. Rick Perry has leaped to a big lead in the GOP presidential race among voters surveyed in a new Gallup poll. Perry had 29 percent support, followed by former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney with 17 percent, Texas Rep. Ron Paul with 13 percent, and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann with 10 percent. Perry received the most support from people older than 65 (40 percent) and those from the South (39 percent).
