He credited liberals for turning her into a folk hero as they try to tear her down, concluding: “People on the left seem to need her, to bash her, because she is, in three words, the way the left likes to see the right: hollow, dim and mean. But since she’s feeding on the negativity, I suggest three other words: get over it.”
Meanwhile, Colbert I. King of the Washington Post noted that it has been Republicans who have done most of Palin criticism lately. “The recent attacks on Sarah Palin by establishment conservatives make her Democratic opponents seem like wusses,” he wrote.
