Biased coverage of protests?

bushprotestThe media has devoted a lot of attention to offensive signs and taunts at tea party protests, but did it care when similar protests were directed at President George W. Bush? Though Bush “was hanged in effigy, burned in effigy, compared to Hitler, called the Antichrist, a human abortion, and made the subject of numerous sustained death threats for about seven years,” those protests “went mostly unreported outside of scattered conservative blogs,” Fox New reported.

Obama’s ‘radicals’ ranked

APTOPIX Democratic ConventionIn Sean Hannity’s new book, “Conservative Victory: Defeating Obama’s Radical Agenda,” former Kansas governor and current Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius (in photo) comes in at 13th among the president’s 15 most “radical” aides, or “foxhole comrades,” as Hannity puts it. Hannity’s problem with Sebelius is her support for abortion rights. The top five are fundraiser Marilyn Katz, top advisers David Axelrod and Valerie Jarrett, diversity czar Mark Lloyd and regulatory czar Cass Sunstein.

Health reform bad for schools?

Senior citizens not that into Brownback

brownbacksmileSen. Sam Brownback, R-Kan., had a 50 percent approval rating overall in the most recent SurveyUSA poll, sponsored by KWCH, Channel 12. But one demographic Brownback isn’t doing that well with is senior citizens. Those surveyed who were 65 years old and older gave Brownback a 42 percent approval rating and a 53 percent disapproval rating. Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., who had a 57 percent overall approval rating, had 47 percent approval and 46 percent disapproval among senior citizens.
