At least one reason the Kansas Senate nixed Attorney General Steve Six’s commonsense effort to bar unwanted automated phone calls was that Kansans for Life said the bill “specifically targeted its audiocalls, which the group said are much less expensive to make than a typical live call,” the Lawrence Journal-World reported. So if you can’t get through an evening in October without a robocall, blame abortion politics.
