Tiahrt takes aim at Democrats, Moran

tiahrtnewmugDuring a Monday town hall meeting in Pittsburg, Rep. Todd Tiahrt, R-Goddard, said that Democrats wanted to get people “into a life of dependency” from “cradle to the grave,” using the terms “communism” and “socialism” to describe them. “That didn’t work in Russia,” Tiahrt said. “And it didn’t work in Germany.” On his battle against the health reform bill, he said: “This is about freedom. . . . Nobody in America should ever have to go to a public official to get health care.” Nor did Tiahrt measure his words in discussing his rival for the U.S. Senate seat, Rep. Jerry Moran, R-Hays. Tiahrt said: “We need somebody to fight for us. We need somebody who is going to ride toward the sound of the guns.”

Tiahrt is not afraid to stand up for the people. He does not wait to see what the political winds are saying.

Tiahrt listens to the people in his district and takes a stand for what is right.

Tiahrt has not and will not be afraid to standup on the tough issues.

His opponent on the other hand has done nothing. It is not hard to have less negative press (Moron get’s very little press) when you are a do nothing, check the wind, before you vote congressman. Moron has done just that. He couldn’t even make decision on running for governor. Moron must have had problems with his finger and the wind. (Way to funny)

Tiahrtless once answered one of my emails (or rather his aide did) by telling me that the best thing I could do to seek representation was to move. Todd only cares about people with money.

The good news is that the Republican primary is open and we can help the Republicans to return Todd to the private sector he so eagerly represents!

    Hehehe, no siht, MHawk.

My first thought was, “tell it to the millions and millions on Medicare, heigh ho.”

Actually, what T-heartless meant was he wants people to go to public officials and get turned away from health care.

They’ll die, but thank God, that’s better than letting LENIN WIN.

Cap’m, Monkey, y’all are really too tough on Reg. I sincerely hope he gets everything he advocates for. I fight for the little guy because it’s the right thing to do, but it wouldn’t bother me if Reg got everything he’s advocating for. After all, I can pull my own weight, so I have a place in the world he’s pushing for. Guess where that leaves him?

“We need somebody to fight for us. We need somebody who is going to ride toward the sound of the guns.”

Only a fool runs towards the sound of guns unprepared. Like in the Iraq War, Bush with Tiarht’s support had very shoddy equipment and weapons for our soldiers – but Halliburton was well paid for their no-bid contracts – huh?

Where was Tiarht’s passion about our freedom when the Patriot Act was being passed and Bush/Cheney were wanting to wiretap everyone but the terrorists?

Where was Tiarht when Bush ballooned the government spending and gave us the Homeland Security Department who was very good at strip searching little old grandmas at the airports but could not seem to track down any real terrorists.

Where was Tiarht’s passion for huge federal spending when Bush pushed through that Medicare D prescription govenrment health care giveaway? If that’s not government health care – then I don’t know what is.

Where was Tiarht when John McCain supported the tanker deal going to Airbus? As I recall, Tiarht supported McCain all the way – but quietly dissented that McCain was wrong but only in a quiet voice at the very end. I didn’t see Tiarht running towards the sound of guns in that deal – until the last few days when it was apparent to anyone with half a brain cell that people were mad about it.

Tiarht has lockstepped his way throughout the GOP’s drunken sailor spending binge and NOW he gets passionate about too much federal spending?

After all, wasn’t it Cheney that said Reagan proved that deficits don’t matter?

If it’s good enough for Reagan, then it should be good enough for any proud Republican who thinks he is brave enough to run towards the sound of guns.

BTW – if that is true, when why have so many Republicans never served in the military?

Haven’t you heard? It is those evil liberals trying to destroy Christianity through Tiarht. You know that God has annointed Tiarht to be in that position of power.

Funny thing though – Tiarht’s fellow C Street Christians are backing Moran in his race against Moran.

    That is very telling, indeed.

Care to compare the size of the deficit with President Reagan as compared to the size of the deficit with President Obama?

Deficit in of themselves are not necessarily bad. For instance, the year I bought my home, I had a severe defict. Covered by borrowing money from my lender. Not bad. I did not have a deficit in spending the next year. If I had bought three or four of them, or borrowed money to buy one each year since then, jeopardizing my ability to pay for them in the future, or requiring that my children and grandchildren take on the debt–not so good.

If Tiahrt really cared about spending he wouldn’t be 50th in Earmark spending, that also puts him ahead of most Democrats in congress also

I find it odd that Republicans look to Regan as some sort paragon of fiscal conservative virtue. He never proposed a balanced budget, never decreased overall federal spending one time, raised taxes more times than he cut them, doubled the National Debt during his term and added another Cabinet Department.

Totoinks – you don’t really like facts, do you? Tiahrt is not being investigated by the ethics committee… they reported that a few days ago. Also, Moran lives on C-street. He leaves his family in western Kansas full time and shares a C-street home with the D.C. boys who are endorsing him. Mr. Tiahrt on the other hand lives with his family.

I don’t believe BJ’s little story about being told to move but I would tell him that in a heartbeat. However I have dealt with Tiahrt several times and he has been very helpful everytime. I see him as being for bringing jobs to Kansas. He also is a strong advocate for small businesses. He stands up for our state even when it would be more PC not to do so and he doesn’t back down when faced with a problem.

Oh yes the other reason I will be backing Tiahrt is because Saint Linda and her goons are changing parties to vote for Moran. Now if they are voting for Moran that tells me one thing. They think he is the weakest candidate and might give the democrat candidate a chance they wouldn’t have against Tiahrt.

Go Todd! Keep up the good work.

A good friend of mine asked T-heartless a tough question one time at a town hall meeting and THrt said, “give me your name and I’ll get back with you.”

    So, the guy does.

Turns out THurt never gets back with him. But what TFart does do is put the guy’s name on a NO-FLY LIST so he gets hassled every time he tries to get on an airplane.

    Nice.

Caught Todd yesterday saying if the democrats pass Pelosi/Obama healthcare takeover, he’ll fight every day to repeal it. Had a list of better ideas that started with ending ambulance chasing and letting us have medical savings accounts. He railed against the republicans for voting for the bailout too. Said they were rushing driven by fear and folks who couldn’t afford it were bailing out Wall Street that didn’t deserve it. I agree with him, we don’t need anymore weak as water slick talkers.
