Obama’s circle too political

obamahandsbyfaceDoes President Obama’s White House need more governing professionals and fewer political hacks? Forbes columnist Dan Gerstein thinks so, suggesting Obama invite an “independent-thinking Democratic wise man like Bob Kerrey” aboard. Survey the president’s advisers, Gerstein wrote, and “what’s missing from this group, besides diversity of experience and interests, is a senior adviser or two with an independent point of view who could carry Obama’s post-partisan portfolio. Someone who would wake up every day thinking about how to form broad-based coalitions, to deepen the confidence and trust of independents and non-rabid Republicans in government, and push Obama to honor his promise to change politics-as-usual in Washington. Or at minimum, someone not ingrained or trained to think that the Republicans are the enemy.”

Good insight Mr Kia. Monkey – bless your little heart. His entire staff reads like Chicago Politico. He has some of the most radical advisors ever. This keeps him from being taken seriously and having the best interest of the nation at heart.

Anita Dunn, Van Jones – just two that should never have been on staff. The purge goes on.

Republicans ARE the enemy. The last thing the base will tolerate is President Obama pandering to the very people who made all our problems. Republicans don’t WANT Government to work and do their level best to work against efficient and effective Government every chance the get.

So don’t give them any chances. They have nothing to add that is not self motivated.

“Dunn has worked for Obama since early 2008, and the video is from June 5, so this isn’t some archival footage from decades ago that’s being used now to make Obama look bad. (Media Matters says this was a speech to high school graduates.) It’s quite simply stupidity or cluelessness on Dunn’s part. She could have cited an untold number of sources for her banal words of wisdom—essentially, think for yourself and make your own way—and yet she drew her inspiration from the man who’s responsible for the deaths of 40 million to 70 million people.”
    —————–

Daniel you really aren’t as clueless as you try to show yourself to be are you?

You mean that speech she made to the High School graduating class? Ha! Funny thing is that she mentioned Mao and Mother Teresa in the same breath so you’d think those two would cancel out.

Also, sometimes when a speaker is trying to make a point they will mention or quote two figures that you wouldn’t normally associate but happened to have the same idea or philosophy some narrow area of agreement.

For example, you wouldn’t normally associate Mother Teresa and Mao but they both espoused the idea that one must choose their own tactics and own them, stick with them despite what one’s opposition may or may not do.

It’s called ‘juxtaposition’ and it’s a common rhetorical device. You should look it up.

Satatom you might be one of the reasons this prez is know as a ‘do nothing’ prez. The only accomplishments he can point to are not good ones for the country at large.

Republicans have a lot of ground to make up in the 2010 elections and it is statements like your that will make that possible.

Moderation is the name of the game. We need a team that can work together to actually accomplish something.

The healthcare bill passed in a partisan fashion with democrats hollering ‘victory’. This bill now goes to the senate where republicans holler ‘defeat’. Who is the loser here. That would be the American people.

We elected representatives to work together for the common good of our country and if this crew can’t do that then we can fix it in the next election.

Well Daniel, in my mind, it’s OK to study the tactics of scoundrels. Mao, Hitler, Stalin were all successful. Unfortunately they were evil. We can still learn from them.

But to mention Mao as a political role model to a high school class was exactly the wrong thing to do and shows again how out of touch Obama’s leftist appointees seems to be.

The term philosopher is a neutral term. Why do you assume that it has a positive connotation?

Confucius was a philosopher, Marx was a philosopher, GWB referred to Jesus Christ as a philosopher, Hitler espoused a political and social philosophy.

You shouldn’t assume the use of the word as being praise or an insult.

You sure seem to have spent a lot of energy getting upset over something you seem to understand very little about.

Obama has still a lot of charisma going for him though even the foreign press is now a bit leery of their former lavish praise. When the Homeland Secretary made visits to both Mexico and Canada she upset everyone with her vast ignorance of both borders’ concerns for she lumped them both in the same basket. I loved this item of a few month ago in the G&M. Seems the guy he appointed Ambassador to Canada was his NUMBER TWO Chicago bag man during Obama’s election campaign. The G&M mused the 2 Ambassadors under “W” had been former State Governors with much legislative and political experiences, able to comprehend and sometimes tweak the cumbersome morass of international politics. Evidently the G&M would have been happier with at the least his NUMBER ONE Chicago bagman, but they now accept their relative importance in the overall scheme of things. Honest!!!!
