New Palin books don’t explain derangement

Vice Presidential DebateTwo more Sarah Palin books are coming out. “The Persecution of Sarah Palin” blames the media elite for Palin’s problems. “Sarah From Alaska” is sympathetic to the challenge Palin faced but argues that her lack of preparation contributed to her poor interview and debate performances. But neither book fully explains why Palin causes such derangement in many of her supporters and critics, a Washington Post book review argued.

    LOL

Palin doesn’t cause ‘derangement’! It’s a natural part of being a liberal. Palin’s book just brings it to the forefront!

She’s insane and produce a field. Some people call it charisma. If you are sensitive at all, you’ll find it difficult to think around crazy people. It’s like static.

    She’s polarizing and she sells.
Reminds me of some politicians currently holding office.
She’s got some ‘xplaining to do if she is going to seek higher office, which there are zero indications she will.

Palin is a good example of a real problem with politics.

It’s not about leadership or ideals, it’s about marketing. Both Obama and Biden made (and continue to make) just as many ‘gaffs’ as Palin. Especially Biden. The only difference is they have a better handle on marketing and image control.

Oh, Biden’s demonstrated he’s an idiot repeatedly. The jury’s still out on Obama, though I don’t think idiot is the right evaluation. Obama’s just unprepared for the job he finds himself in, a rookie operating “above his pay grade.”

As to the “derangement” caused by Palin among some on the left, that’s more properly identified as fear. They fear what she has the potential to become – a charismatic, appealing threat to their man, who frankly won the presidency on the basis of his charisma (and little else). I’ve no idea if she will become that; she was thrown to the wolves long before she was ready,

But then so was Obama; the “wolves” simply formed an adoration society in his case.

I think more than a few of us are sick of both the elites in both the Democratic and Republican parties. They appear to think they know what is best for the “peons”.

That is probably the segment of society that appealed to Sarah Palin. She is from an ordinary background and works hard. She was treated with the same disrespect the elite treats the rest of society they consider beneath them.

OWEbama is ‘prepared’. He’s prepared to take this nation into ruin. He is working very hard at it. If you blame the state of the economy on the past administration you are correct. It is the fault of the Democrat controlled Congress and House.

    1. the act of deranging.

    3. disarrangement; disorder.

The article states that “Palin causes such derangement in many of her supporters and critics”. Her supporters become disturbed as they see one of their own. Someone who is plain spoken, uses a lot of vernacular (“you bet ya” ), is a little free associative in thinking and speaking. They think she is approachable and down to earth.

Her critics are disordered by the thought that someone so cynical, manipulative, and ignorant could become a person of importance in our political system. It makes them crazy that anyone would find her creditable or competent. A female “Joe the Plumber” on steroids.

I love it when you tell us we are all wrong and you are the only one who is right. I am not a Palin for prez supporter. One person put there to learn on the job in my lifetime is enough for me. Palin however is much more prepared than the occupant of the White House today.

Yes, we liberals fear Sarah Palin – so much so that we TREMBLE at the thought of her showing up at back door with her camo and 50 caliber.

We FEAR that she won’t get the nomination from the GOP in 2012.

We FEAR that she won’t mount a campaign for president.

We FEAR that she is all talk (badly) and no action.

Yep, we liberals are TERRIFIED that Sarah (?) Palin will NOT be the GOP candidate in 2012.

Pmom you might start by asking yourself why you fear Sarah Palin so much.

Grannie – you sound like some bully in the play yard who is proudly boasting that everyone fears him. What is with you?

You might want to ask yourself why so many people – in both parties – don’t like or trust Sarah Palin? Obviously there were Republicans that felt Palin was out of her league and was in no way prepared or qualfied to be president. If you might remember, McCain and Palin lost BIG time…

Why don’t you ask that question rather than smugly thinking Palin is such a threat that everyone ‘fears’ her.

BTW – I guess Sarah does not have as much as power as you all think she has because her personally-picked golden haired boy Hoffman lost up in NY 23.

If I were you and I was hitching my wagon to Sarah, you might just want to pull back on those reins and think things through. Or shall we get someone to assist you in that?
