GOP dark horses

thuneRealClearPolitics’ Tom Bevan and Mike Memoli have cast their imaginations beyond Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty, and drawn up a list of GOP dark horses for 2012: South Dakota Sen. John Thune (in photo), Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn and former Vice President Dick Cheney, and, calling them the “best of the rest,” Gen. David Petraeus and Reps. Rep. Eric Cantor of Virginia, Mike Pence of Indiana and Paul Ryan of Wisconsin.

I have doubts the Tea-Bagger movement will last that long. But if it does the Repubic Party primaries will be bloody messes.

The GOP’s winner-take-all approach to primaries and caucuses might work out for them… with the same success John McCain eked out an overwhelming delegate count with underwhelming results at the polls. But as soon as Palin or the Huckster or Mittens Romney loses Iowa or New Hampshire by a hair and get no delegates out of the deal… it’ll be Katie-bar-the-door.

It’s too early to talk about the 2012. I’m sure we will be flooded with campaign spam like the 2008 campaign.

People were tired of it and would have elected Woody Wood p3cker if he would have stopped the campaign spam.

    What about Todd Tiahrt?

Calling Moran a “communist” is in the best RepubliCON tradition.

Never mind that one can’t find any actual communists in either the former Soviet Union, East Germany or China.

Nope, calling someone a communist doesn’t mean you really think they’re a communist, it just means that you’re a judgemental SOB who will say anything to gain an advantage.

    That is, a Fundy CON.

Todd is simply telling his base, “I’m one of you.”

“In the schema of historical materialism, communism is the idea of a free society with no division or alienation, where mankind is free from oppression and scarcity. A communist society would have no governments, countries, or class divisions. In Marxist theory, the dictatorship of the proletariat is the intermediate system between capitalism and communism, when the government is in the process of changing the means of ownership from privatism, to collective ownership.[7] In political science, the term “communism” is sometimes used to refer to communist states, a form of government in which the state operates under a one-party system and declares allegiance to Marxism-Leninism or a derivative thereof.

    Marxist schools of communism
Self-identified communists hold a variety of views, including Marxism-Leninism, Trotskyism, council communism, Luxemburgism, anarchist communism, Christian communism, and various currents of left communism. However, the offshoots of the Marxist-Leninist interpretations of Marxism are the most well-known of these and have been a driving force in international relations during most of the 20th century.[2]”

    This is from Wiki-

So, apparently there are lots of self identified communists. THey just don;t meet up to CapnAmerica’s standards.

Don;t use the word communist…..it just stirs them up with a sense of self-righteous egalatarianism. Use the words Marxist, Marxist Leninist, Maoist, etc. Using the word Marxist generally covers the most of them.
