The Anti-Defamation League singled out Fox New host Glenn Beck among the mainstream media for promoting hate and conspiracy theories. In its new report, “Rage Grows in America: Anti-Government Conspiracies,” ADL said that Beck has acted as a “fearmonger-in-chief,” and that his conspiratorial claims “create an intersection between the mainstream and the extreme.” In contrast, the report notes that conservative media hosts Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, while being very critical of the Obama administration, “have usually dismissed or refused to give a platform to the conspiracy theorists and anti-government extremists.” Some conservatives have complained that the report focused on right-wing media and didn’t include left-wing offenders. But James Besser of Jewish Week noted that ADL has a long history of calling out Democrats and Republicans alike who cross the line.

Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh are all very rich and very evil people. I could easily be a part of a mob that drags them into the street and hangs them up by their heels.
LOL!
The ADL has been a left wing joke for years! They are guilty of the very thing they blame Beck for.
Witness the knee-jerk response of scooter! Always willing to resort to threats of violence!
” I could easily be a part of a mob that drags them into the street and hangs them up by their heels.”
WOW, the compassionate progressive liberal speaks.
As I myself evidence. there is another rage that people like Beck, Hannity and Limbaugh fire. It is a PRO Government movement and a rage against people who we consider less fellow Americans and more enemies.
About 18 percent of Republicans regularly listen to Beck and about 9 percent to Limbaugh. Let’s see, 18 percent of 15 percent is how much? Stop worrying. It’s a movment of blowhards which depends entirely on the reaction to it’s bombast for survival. Stop reacting, and it’s dead.
I’m amazed that Beck and Limbaugh stay on the air considering that no Republican will admit to being followers. I watch Beck. I laugh a lot and Mrs XXX yells at him. She calls him the crybaby.
Of course there’s Obermann and Maddow on the left (both of whom I enjoy) but they don’t quite sink to the level of Beck.
I’d love to see Beck as running mate to Dobbs or Palin.
” the conspiracy theorists and anti-government extremists”
Examples please?
Is Beck guilty of lying?
It’s becoming hard for me to keep my WE Blog wing-nuts straight. I don’t remember if it was “American_Way” or “Boxlock20″ who shared deep quaking fears of the Trilateral Commission, or the Bilderburg Group, or the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elk. Some global conspiracy.
And last night ol’ “HLP” revealed himself as a birther.
Tell ya what. I’m a “DEATHER!” I’ve never seen Ronald Reagan’s death certificate so I refuse to believe he’s dead!
What we see on WE Blog every day is how CONs will fall for anything that makes them cranky. They claim they don’t watch Beck or listen to Limbaugh but somehow mystically channel the daily talking points. It must be a miracle.
Irony at its worst:
MonkeyHock spews: They claim they don’t watch Beck or listen to Limbaugh but somehow mystically channel the daily talking points. It must be a miracle.
———————-
And MonkeyHock knows what the talking points of the Beck or Limbaugh show how?
By watching them of course – irony strikes again.
“ADL’s transgressions were most notably exposed in January 1993 when San Francisco newspapers broke the story of ADL’s extensive domestic spying network. The San Francisco Police Department discovered that under the cover of fighting anti-Semitism, the ADL had gathered and sold to intelligence agents of the Israeli and South African governments information on thousands of American individuals and groups. In addition to nearly all Arab American organizations, those whom the ADL targeted included House Armed Services Committee Chairman Ron Dellums, former Congressman Pete McCloskey, Los Angeles Times correspondent Scott Kraft, the board of directors of public television station KQED, the Rainbow Coalition, a number of labor unions, Greenpeace, as well as numerous other journalists, professors, members of Congress, and activists who the ADL suspected had “anti-Israel” leanings. The information which the San Francisco police department confiscated from the ADL offices included illegally obtained confidential police material. The manner by which the ADL obtained such information as well as the fact that they sold it to foreign governments are both felonies.”

Is this the same Anti-Defamation League. Yes they sound reputable and believable to me. The left is really reaching to find a ’source’ today aren’t they? I’d trust there judgement on anything – not. Sounds like Beck is in good company to be on their hit list.
Beck, Hannity, Maddow, and Obermann
All crazies of a feather who flock together.
I cannot watch any of their shows for more that five minutes without either being irritated or letting out a huge sigh.
At least Limbaugh admits that he frames his political commentary to be entertaining. The list above are just mild shock-jocks out to provoke a reaction.
Whoa. Okobserver is citing propaganda from “Al-Akhbar,” the mailing list run by “Islamic Organization for Palestine” as her source of info against Anti-Defamation League?
http://www.iahushua.com/JQ/adl.html (Scroll to the end for the full attribution)
Whose side are you on, Okobserver?
twitt just a little food for thought to remind all that when we start slinging arrows you can always find something to refute it with.
Why does the left feel it is necessary to put down conservative talk show hosts – even over the top ones like Beck. Don’t you trust people to be able to discern the truth?
So now the left doesn’t like Palestine? Holder and Hillary went to bat for them if I remember right.
This is my point. Lets refresh everyones minds on what has happened in the past.
Don’t you trust people to be able to discern the truth?
You mean like Americans who were told of “tons and tons of weapons of mass destruction that Saddam Hussein could deliver by drone aircraft in as little as 45 minutes.” Or “aluminum tubes” used for nuclear centerfuges. Or the non-existent “ties” between Saddam and Al Qaeda. Or the entire BS presentation that a once-good man Colin Powell prostituted himself to give before the UN?
You mean being able to discern f***ing lies like that?
Let’s refresh everyones minds on what has happened in the past.
Yes, let’s.
Like Bush’s “win” in Florida in 2000 for instance . . . in which Republicans disrupted a mandatory state-wide recount to run out the clock.
Thanks to a compliant CONservative US Supreme Court that had prided itself on non interference in state’s rights who over-ruled state law and shut down the recount, Bush “won.”
Thanks for reminding us, OKO.
At least Limbaugh admits that he frames his political commentary to be entertaining.
Really?
Why does he fail so miserably then?
You crazy old woman, you’re citing as your source against ADL an Islamist terrorist organization.
http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/groupProfile.asp?grpid=6215
Beck doesn’t go batsheet crazy without the blessings from the Faux republican propaganda channel. McCarthy anyone?
“…Like Bush’s “win” in Florida in 2000 for instance…
—————-
I predicted then that the democrat party would whine about this for 10 (or more) years. So far, my prognostication is right on track.
:)
KSGolfnut, you’re a fine one to talk. You and your people still haven’t gotten over FDR and the programs he instituted.
That’s been what, 75 or so years?
Capn’s still blocking out reality. A coping mechanism i guess.
“Thanks to a compliant CONservative US Supreme Court that had prided itself on non interference in state’s rights who over-ruled state law and shut down the recount, Bush “won.””
Had Gore not ben bent on a selective recount with selective standards he would have had his state-wide recount. And no court would have gotten involved.
Had the Florida Supreme Court not decided to ignore state law that clearly defined the required process for a vote recount Gore would have had his state-wide recount.
Capn

The Capn was howling at the moon about how “Conservatives” were knocking off wolves to extinction in the 18th century and buffalo in the 19th century.
Being as the Republican Party wasn’t organized until 1854, I would say the Capn hasn’t gotten over historical revisionism moonbat theories of American history.
Hey Heckler:
Check out the truth-o-meter ratings on Glenn Beck.
3 falses, one barely true (on the truth-o-meter, that means mostly false), one half true (the highest rating he got) and two pants-on-fires (you can guess what that means). Not many do worse (I think Michelle Bachman, the crazy and truly mind numbingly stupid representative from Minnesota, gets more pants-on-fires than anyone).
http://www.politifact.org/truth-o-meter/personalities/glenn-beck/statements/
The ‘jawless fish’ uses the same “truth-o-meter” that Bill “I did not have s3ct-ual relations with that woman” Clinton used.
Aggie says “Check out the truth-o-meter”
Nuff said. No comment.
Aggie
Your “truth-o-meter” gave a pants on fire for a case in which Holdren “discussed” forced sterilization techniques in a book he co-wrote.
Is “discussed” the same thing as “advocate”?
Not necessarily. But “pants on fire”?
Sorry. Fail.
“Not necessarily. But “pants on fire”?
“Sorry. Fail.”
Considering the shill sources you routinely link to, Heckler, I’ll consider your evaluation in light of the laughable drivel that it is. Beck deliberately stated that Holdren PROPOSED forced abortions and putting sterilants in water, and he almost certainly knew what he was doing when he said it.
As for Regular…
…the usual response is warranted.
Someone has to counter the fear being created by Obama on every piece of legislation. All these “emergencies” with threats of the impact if His legislation is not rushed through. After the healthcare emergency (which He claims is ruining the recovery) will come the planet overheating from Global Warming – which requires emergency passage of Tax and Cap.
Yeah, we need balance. It sure isn’t coming from the left.
And don’t forget unemployment would go over 8.5% if Congress didn’t rush through the trillion plus Recovery Act. (Big eye roll)
Which BTW, the 95% hasn’t been spent on what was such an emergency over Valentines Day in Chicago (new St Valentines Financial Massacre?).
KSGolfNut–
That’s a good prediction. Because anybody who loves America and cares about democracy in America (that would be me) should NEVER get over the stealing of the presidency.
You CONs are still whining because Clinton didn’t win by a majority in 1992 . . . talk about seeing the splinter and missing the log.
Did Obama lie us into a 6 year war that cost tens of thousands of innocent lives and 2 billion a week?
He didn’t?
When you b*tch about that, then we’ll know you’re serious about the “truth.”
Beck’s going to have to share his audience with Jesse Ventura and Lou Dobbs.
If you think Rush considers himself just an ‘entertainer’ I suggest you check that with Steele!
Yep, Capn’s post of BS confirms – we need some balanced information from the media.
Better go to Fox Obama Blamemedia, (Yes, Hannity, I said ‘blamemedia’.)
D’oh, I meant to say Blamestream Media!
“MOVE ON!!”
Never.
One of the FIRST things I will teach my grandchildren is that Republicans are evil people who stole the 2000 election.
Beck’s a pimp for Roger Ailes, just as Dick Armey is a pimp for David Koch. Follow the money. Of course, they’re against raising taxes; theirs, not yours.
“One of the FIRST things I will teach my grandchildren is that Republicans are evil people who stole the 2000 election.”
You might want to potty train them first.
I think tonight on O’reilly, Huckster will turn on enough waterworks to make Beck look like the stoic one!
Huck’s already had Fox Radio broadcast a prepared statement, wonder why he didn’t release it to the MSM?
“One of the FIRST things I will teach my grandchildren is that Republicans are evil people who stole the 2000 election”
Wow. How sad.
So, what do you expect from a high school graduate?

I thought you talking about Harry Truman.
never mind…

Not nice. Intelligence has nothing to do with schooling.
“One of the FIRST things I will teach my grandchildren is that Republicans are evil people who stole the 2000 election.”
BlueJay, you might want to keep a close eye on what your son watches, or reads or listens to. Censor it even. Otherwise, he might discover that there is a whole beautiful world beyond the negative bitterness. It might open his eyes to the possibility that his dad is wrong, that the world doesn’t suck and that he has a chance at happiness, if he can just get way from the source of the negativity.
And not be ragged on about his showers constantly as well ‘outlander’.
I don’t know if you read, and I’m not wasting time finding it, BlueJay is now cutting the water off on his kid’s showers which from what I gathered are not than excessive. But I guess it costs BlueJay another quarter a month to indulge his kid.
The kid was probably just trying to get the stink off he picks up from his neurotic dad.

Since when does “Conservative” = GOP?
Only come to this site every now and then, mostly “then”…same ole posts everytime, by the same ole posters…livin’ in the past, refusing to see the present as it is…would rather “debate” (I use the term “debate” loosely), blame, blame, blame…obvious Liberal Democrats…so far left that they really would fit in well in a socialized country…it’s too bad they don’t pack up and move out….out of America, that is! Who gives a crap about Clinton, Bush…Obama is our President now and he is very busy DESTROYING our country, our economy, our future, our freedom. Since when did an American President EVER fly around the world apologizing for what America stands for…FREEDOM!!!!! He is so buzy “socializing” with his steak dinners for 300, endless cocktail parties, “weekends” in New York on OUR buck…while piling up the National Debt so fast with government programs that have no accountability nor trasparency, that it will end up making the Bush years of debt look like a piggy bank. Oh…Beck…bet he does rub you folks the wrong way…the TRUTH hurts!!!!!
BJ sounds like he’s off his meds again and/or he’s moved to disturbia.
His stupidity is funny in a way, almost like a Laurel and Hardy skit.

Yeah “Regular” James McCluer?
If you’re gonna do the multi nic thing, let’s try and keep on one thread.
Yeah…you are right Jim…BJ sounds like a disturbed person…don’t know about the meds, but sure could use a shrink to help him get over something that he “thinks” happened ughhhh lets see 10 years ago. We’ve only gone through September 11, 2 wars, a more recent stolen election (oppps probably shouldn’t mention ACORN), a long lasting recession (that we are out of!!!!! NOT!), double digit unemployment, billions of dollars un-accounted for…made up numbers of jobs created…oh gosh jobs in places that don’t even exsist, printing dollars like we are printing newspapers…setting up inflation like we’ve never seen in this country. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, TODAY is the present…and American’s had better stand up for our great country like the existing generations have never had to stand up before in our life times!
“He has previously posted if he has grandkids he wants nothing to do with them”
More likely the other way around.
BJ needs a shrink?
Not sure if ObamaCare will cover that.
Freebird,
I’m confused. Is it your turn to be James, or mine? Or Amways? Or Boxlock?
“Freebird,
I’m confused. ”
I’m not.
You’ve caused no end of trouble on this forum and others James.
I mean to make an end to that. And I have a way of doing it.
Unlike you, it’s not an ego thing with me. I just do what I do.
Shocker–
I got one word for you. Are you listening?
Paragraphs.
” I just do what I do.”
Which is what?
(The Loony Bird is xtra Loony tonight.)
“Regular” has said that anybody should be free to anybody here “Jim”.
I’ll play by that. You’re “Regular”.
And of course, I know a great deal about “Regular”.
BlueJay–
You probably remember a few years ago when I busted Republikhan, Republican, Regular, Eier, Uncle William, Gail et al. as the previous poster JM.
I was pretty sure of it especially after Cosmos tipped me off that the new Regular was saying the exact same things as the old JM.
But since JM-Regular was brought to heel with his more personalities than Sybil, I haven’t seen any evidence that anyone is nic-switching.
Registration for one thing makes it harder to nic-switch.
I think it extremely unlikely that Freebird is anybody other than who he says he is since he met with WSClark the other month.
As for JJ and Am_Way and Shocker 1, they all parrot the same line, it’s true. But that’s because they get the same reich-wing e-mails and listen to the same FoxNews RushO’Hannity crap.
They don’t sound to me like the same person. Am_Way for instance is a neo-nazi who gets excited every time he sees a Marine in uniform. Boxlock is a historical gun collector, which Am_Way shows no interest in or knowledge of.
There’re a lot of things to attack the CONs about these days.
But nic switching doesn’t look like one of them to me . . .
“I mean to make an end to that. And I have a way of doing it.”
Big Bird is tough! Gonna go squawking to his Mommy now.
(BJ, you are slurring again.)

Sometimes that’s all BJ’s got, and it does become a red badge of courage for him to wear.
Shocker 1 says we’re “printing dollars like we are printing newspapers . . . setting up inflation like we’ve never seen in this country.”
Yeah.
Where is the inflation?
When the Weimar Republic massively inflated their money supply to pay off war reparations, Germans used to wall paper their bathrooms with money.
Ditto in China under Chiang Kai-Shek. They’d take a wheelbarrow full of money to buy a cup of rice.
Here, the inflation rate isn’t budging.
Funny how you got zero evidence that our money supply is getting inflated.
Just playing on your Fears BJ.
You surely don’t think there are so many Cons out there, do you?
I know what I’m doing Capn.
And the record shows, I’m rarely wrong.
JimJohnson might be the mysteriously vanished Fleettwood however.
They’re both really really dumb.
It’s hard to imagine two different people both being that dumb AND yet still able to turn on a computer and type.
So those two might be one in the same . . .
Now BJ, you stole that line from Gilligan’s Island.
Admit it.
