Pelosi one of best ever?

pelosimuglookingleftIf President Obama is disappointed in his point-woman in the House, he wasn’t showing it Monday at a Democratic fundraiser in Miami Beach. “I don’t think people quite understand. Nancy Pelosi is not simply the first woman speaker of the House,” he told the crowd. “I think she’s going to go down as one of the greatest speakers of all time. And she’s very nice and she’s very friendly, but, boy, she is tough. And that’s what you need when you’re putting up with all the criticism and the carping and the griping — and that’s from the Democrats. I mean, you should see what she has to put up with — from the Republicans. So I could not have a better partner in trying to move the country than Nancy Pelosi.”

This column has to be Rhonda’s attempt at humor. It missed the mark. I watched the ‘friendly’ Ms Pelosi in action the last time I was in DC. She was surrounded by a possee in dark suits and never lowered her nose or her eyes to acknowledge that she was walking among voters and citizens of our great nation. Many others from both parties not only acknowledged but stopped to speak to my grandkids who were with me.

Pelosi is just as arrogant in person as she is on the tube. The eye roll she gave Harry Ried the other day is her normal manner.

“It appears that Pelosi uses military aircraft less often than her predecessor, former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert.

The documents cover the period from January 2007 to November 2008 and show that Pelosi made the equivalent of 20 round-trips between Washington (Andrews Air Force Base) and San Francisco. That’s an average of less than one round-trip per month. In contrast, former Speaker Hastert traveled home to his Illinois district virtually every weekend and, his former aides tell ABC News, he would almost always travel on military aircraft.”

Under Obamacare, she will end up paying more for health insurance. She is a risk. It will cost taxpayers more for that FREE healthcare insurance. So like tobacco smokers, fat people will have to pay a higher price.

Tell me about the 46/47 million without healthcare. How many cannot afford it? How many truly poor people are going to get it?

And explain to me, if you will why both the House plans and the Senate Markup provides subsidized coverage for those making up to 400% of the FPL?

And please explain the many “exemptions” from paying a penalty or paying their “share” of costs which are contained in the Senate markup.

I’ve posted links to them before.

“FREE HEALTHCARE” postings by me are general statements which makes fun of those thinking they will get CHEAPER, low cost, or no cost healthcare insurance FOR FREE.

To the actual topic. It would not surprise me that Pelosi eventually goes down in history as a decent, if not great, Speaker. She actually seems to be doing a pretty good job dealing with her party in the House (and since the Dems are now the big tent party, that is not easy).

On the other hand, Harry Reid is a complete and total mess, and Nevada will probably do the Democrats a favor if (probably when) they send him packing.

Hey gals, What would you think about Sarah Palin moving to Nevada and running for Reid’s seat. She’s neither old nor male and she’s (coming from the mostly male state of Alaska) good at handling the male dominated house.

Palin hasn’t been elected or even nominated for any office since she served her almost half-a-term as governor of America’s least populated state.

I am, however, pulling for her! If she runs for the Republican nomination for president she will definitely have my support in the Kansas caucus or primary (whichever the state holds!).

Pelosi is a demagogue and a zealot. She’s dumber than Sarah Palin. The only reason why she has the Speaker position is because she puts the Democratic Party above anything else. The Democratic Party is the only thing that is important to her. She can care less about the American People. She is unapologetic and will spew rhetoric all day. Plus she is in one of the safest districts in the Country and that is the reason the Dem Party put her in the position and for her to shoot the arrows for the left, although she doesn’t know how to use a bow.
