Palin going rogue or going rouge?

goingroguegoingrougeChris Cillizza of the Washington Post ranked Sarah Palin as the most influential Republican, noting the upcoming release of her memoir, “Going Rogue: An American Life,” and her ability to draw big and energetic crowds. Meanwhile, the editors of the Nation are publishing “Going Rouge: Sarah Palin, An American Nightmare” on the same day that Palin’s book comes out.

Going Rouge: Sarah Palin, An American Nightmare
    =================================

    How pathetic the LIBs are.

They are sooo scared of Sarah that they have to create a book, copying the style of the real book, and release it on the same day in order to minimize Palin.

Too bad there are millions of pre-ordered Palin books.

The Nation’s book is already a failure. Maybe it will get subsides from the .gov like Air America to keep it huffing along in the rear.

    Keep showing your fear, LIBs.

They kept trying to redirect me to “American Rogue.”

Sarah Palin is a media sensation and she made herself that. And with that goal in mind, she has made millions for herself. Good for her.

Hey, that’s the American way. And the fact another book has come out in direct competition to Palin’s is also the American way.

It’s called captitalism. And last time I checked, Republicans absolutely LOVE capitalism – or is that only reserved for Republicans?

I don’t think Sarah Palin is irrelevant. She is very relevant to the Republican Party. Seems to me she is helping to bring about the downfall of the GOP by making the party fracture into two groups.

But, hey, if that floats your boat – then so be it.

Does anyone else think what The Nation is doing is somewhat deceptive?

They must think that it is necessary to piggyback on the potential success of Sarah Palin’s book and that conservatives are too stupid to purchase the correct book. In that case they are STILL admitting that the only way they can sell the book is on the basis of Palin’s popularity.

If the book is for those they think need to hear about what a bad person Palin is, they are admitting that it is necessary to go to battle against her. If she is such a poor choice as a candidate, why go to all the trouble?

Honestly, why all the uproar? The more fuss put forward about Palin, the more the right embraces her. Is that the goal? Get the right to embrace a candidate the left sees as a looser?

Does anyone else notice how much the left is secure in continually insulting the right? Do they think insults are the way to win them over?

I have no problem with the Moose Dresser choosing to go full term with a Down Syndrome pregnancy.

I have a problem when she says she admits she sat in a hotel room in Idaho and contemplated her choice.

She would deny that choice to everyone else.

She would force any woman do didn’t make her choice.

So she wants to take away that choice.

As a forty-something pregnant woman, and in light of her subsequent life and career, one has a legitimate question: “Was it a moral choice or a political one?” (I bet she doesn’t cover it in her book.)

She talked about that evening in the Idaho hotel room — “With an abortion clinic just three blocks away” — what? Did she Mapquest the location?!

    Anyway, she made her choice.

And, since she must obviously be far superior than others, she wants to take that choice from anyone else.

But please, CONs. Don’t throw us into Br’er Sarah’s brier patch!

My criticism re: Trig is conceiving a child in her mid-40’s. She should have looked at the odds and made him wear a condom or said she had a headache! I never even suggested she have an abortion. I would have supported her if she had, and I would have supported her decision to have a Down’s baby if she hadn’t palmed him off on her children to raise. Caring for a disabled child is hard work; she should have known that and either committed to it or not had him to begin with. Trig’s the victim here, along with her other kids who were given responsibilities beyond their means to cope. Sarah’s just selfish.

Nope. I just said that I won’t pat her on the back for making a decision that she would make a mandate on other women. In the world according to Palin, the lifetime commitment in raising a Downs afflicted child is no heroic choice. It is what she HAD to do. It is what she would FORCE other women people to do. That takes any heroics out of it.

It is funny how the libs have reacted to Sarah Palin.

I just don’t understand where N.O.W. is; and why they have been okay with the libs attacking Palin. Palin is a forthright, strong woman, with her own set of standards and beliefs who has made her own way in the world. As a woman, what is there NOT to be proud of???

You can blame alllll of this on the libs, they continued to be scared of Palin. Sarah Palin’s name should have been mentioned twice, by the libs, between December 1, 2008 to December 1, 2009 and that would have been a line or two in the NYT and a small blurb on MSNBC.

    1. Sarah Palin resigns as Alaska governor.
    2. Sarah Palin has written a book and it has been released.

That is all, anything more and it just PROVES how upsetting she is to the libs and rightfully so.

    “generaston” –

What would I wish for my daughter?

Perhaps more than Miss Runner-Runner-Up in the Miss Alaska competition.

Maybe a little more than a lame college degree (from her 6th college) in “Communications.”

I’d probably cringe nightly as I watched he sportscasts which led to her being the ultimate big fish in the small pond of Wasilla.

In a state with a population less than enrollment of the Los Angeles public school system, I’d probably give my daughter a long-distance “Atta-girl.”

But I’d have compunctions thinking of such a daughter as a heartbeat away from Leadership of the Free World.

I might step forward to my daughter who admitted hours with the mini-bar in an Idaho hotel room about her choice to take a Down Syndrome baby to term and support her choice… whatever it might have been.

But I’d probably remind her she made a choice and her later political position of denying others that same choice might be a tad hypocritical.

I’d try to raise her that way, if she were my daughter.

Have any more fantasies you want me to explore?

The reality is she’s a kinda second-tier MILF who isn’t all that bright and not particularly aware of her status. She’s the Balloon Boy in heels.

    Borrowed heels.

    Which she’s never given back.

She’s a spunky, telegenic woman who’s the brainchild of William Kristol. And when has William Kristol ever been wrong about anything? (Except, of course, just about everything.)

Going Rogue will be numero uno for awhile. Rupert Murdoch has bought up enough books to keep it there. And with the asking price being like $24.95, and amazon selling it, along with many others, for 8 bucks ($8.95-walmart), one really wonders what they’ll be getting for such a discounted price. And, if you buy a subscription to a number of right-wing rags, you get a free copy. Almost makes me think about buying one. After all, even us progressives need a good laugh once and awhile.

This all leads me to think there is little of substance there, and with basically no one being allowed to critique it prior to release, I’m thinking that, as usual, I’m correct. Expect Dollar General to sell it for a buck fifty in six months or less.

For a good chuckle, visit her facebook entries, and peruse her palin puppet comments. I check it out once and awhile myself, when a good laugh is needed, and believe me, after reading the comments, laughing is what you’ll be doing. http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/sarahpalin?ref=nf
After spending five minutes or less there, it’s easy to see us progressives have nothing to fear from the quitter, and even look forward to more chuckles.

You cons should really purchase Going Rouge. Of course, you’ll have to provide your own crayons, as the black and white pictures aren’t numbered, so filling them in might present a problem to you, but maybe you can all get together and figure it out. Let’s see: if twenty cons occupy one room, the total should equal the intelligence of a half a progressive. Ya, I think twenty of you should be able to figure it out. Go for it.

If anyone, woman or man has a family, that comes first. Always. If a woman has a career and can raise her kids properly at the same time, I’m all for it. Some women do a fantastic job! Same goes for a man; fathering is just as important!
Sarah has five (5) children that are from all accounts pretty much ignored. In fact I would hazard a guess that she designed her career from the outset as an escape from them and they’ve pretty much had to raise themselves. That’s not parenting.
As for her career, it’s the same thing; I haven’t seen her actually finish anything she started. When the going gets tough, she gets gone! And this is your role model? I get the picture. I get the picture!
