“I don’t know of too many needy people who need a fancy church building or a big gold cross when they are hungry, homeless or sick and in need of healthcare.
but you and your other church members go ahead and keep patting yourselves on the back for all the ‘caring’ you do.
I’m sure God is watching close and taking names..”
Toto… do you have any idea what I do in my spare time, or what I give to a church? Or even what churches do for the homeless and needy? I didn’t think so.

Did Algore visit these areas lately MO?

Watkins, Associated Press Writer –
LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE, Calif. – A powerful fall storm packing strong winds and rain began easing up early Wednesday without causing the heavy mudslides and debris flows that residents throughout the state had feared.
—————
MO, What happened to the droughts that global warming is causing?
“El Nino produced an increase in wind shear,” said meteorologist Todd Crawford of private forecaster WSI Corp.
“If you have an increase in the speed of the winds aloft over the Atlantic it acts to basically chop the heads off any kinds of storms,” he said. Wind shear is a technical term for different wind speeds at different altitudes.
Crawford also said sea temperatures in the tropical Atlantic are cooler, by about 2 degrees Fahrenheit (1.12 degrees Celsius) on average, than the blistering seasons of 2004, when four hurricanes hit Florida, and 2005, which produced 28 storms, the highest single-season total in recorded history.
Hurricanes draw energy from warm water, so cooler sea temperatures can mean fewer and less intense storms

So, I ask again, with the guidelines set form by Alfred Nobel:
“What accomplishments between 20 January and 1 February 2009? that O’BAMA did that qualified him to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize?”
It appears that the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to O’BAMA was as a Leftist, Socialist boondoggle instead of being an award of something people had accomplished and earned.

Finally, in 2008 the DJIA hit it’s all time high of 13,930.01…

pssst cosmos, it’s winter time in the Arctic now.
Yet more proof that we live in Amerikkka.
Introducing: Blackwater Tax Collection Services.
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09287/1005405-100.stm
A few weeks ago, two freighters did make it from Russia to Holland because of greatly diminished arctic ice. The Beluga Fraternity and Beluga Foresight made the fabled Northwest Passage in the first such commercial voyage.
The markets are up 37 percent since Obama’s stimulus package.
Of course, it still has a long way to go since it crashed to HALF of its value under Worstpresidentever.
Northwest Passage successes by ships and boats:
The Northwest Passage was not conquered by sea until 1906, when the Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen, who had sailed just in time to escape creditors seeking to stop the expedition, completed a three-year voyage in the converted 47-ton herring boat Gjøa. At the end of this trip, he walked into the city of Eagle, Alaska, and sent a telegram announcing his success.
In June 1977, sailor Willy de Roos left Belgium to attempt the Northwest Passage in his 13.8 m (45 ft) steel yacht Williwaw. He reached the Bering Strait in September and after a stopover in Victoria, British Columbia, went on to round Cape Horn and sail back to Belgium, thus being the first sailor to circumnavigate the Americas entirely by ship
In 1984, the commercial passenger vessel MS Explorer became the first cruise ship to navigate the Northwest Passage

The tech stock has never recovered from this. Why wasn’t the current prez on top of this. Could be because old friends of his like Terry McAuliffe.
“In what is an unprecedented case of political profiteering, McAuliffe turned a $100,000 initial investment in the company into $18 million in less than a year and a half—a nifty 18,000% profit. According to the New York Times, McAuliffe made millions more trading the stock and options after the company went public in 1998.”

“You’re essentially, for the first time, creating an ocean. Which is not something you want to do as a global experiment, because you cannot take the ocean away,” Prof. Wadhams said. “If it’s a disaster you cannot put the lid back on again and say, ‘Oh, that didn’t work out, let’s try that again.’ You’re stuck with what you’ve done.”

Then right at the very end of the presidency, Bush’s people rush through the 800 billion TARP bailout, having spent eight years ignoring the coming storm, choosing to leave it to his successor to suffer through.
Thank goodness for the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009, which is helping to turn this mess around.
Rush Limbaugh has been DROPPED from the group attempting to purchase the St. Louis Rams!

Please libs. Join me and your fellow democrats and tell Obama to bring our troops home from Afghanistan. Please do it tomorrow.
Monday, October 12, 2009
Potentially troubling for President Obama is that members of his own party are increasingly more supportive of a troop withdrawal.
Thirty-nine percent (39%) of Democrats now say all troops in Afghanistan should be brought home immediately, up eight points from early
September. This compares with just nine percent (9%) of Republicans and 17% of unaffiliateds.
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/afghanistan/45_say_u_s_can_win_war_in_afghanistan_29_disagree
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 45% of voters believe it is possible for the United States to win the eight-year-old war in Afghanistan. Twenty-nine percent (29%) do not think a U.S. victory is possible there, and another 25% aren’t sure.
Sixty percent (60%) of Republicans say a U.S. victory is possible, a view shared by just 35% of Democrats and 41% of voters not affiliated
with either party.”
The conclusion is that democrats do not have heart to fight another ten year war in Afghanistan. Obama still cannot make up his own mind!
Worse, a full third of democrats do not believe we can win.
Please email or call your leadership now: Bring them home by XMAS.
Thank-you

Having been working lot’s of OT and road trips I finally get a break to blog. So I laugh at this standard lib phrase now being driven into everyone’s minds to get them to be conforming.
I’m working my tail off and business is good. We go out to eat and the wait for tables is long. The malls are full of people shopping.
A few whiners here who really don’t want work, will whine no matter what. But jobs are out there. But they aren’t going to be handed to anyone. Ya gotta work for em.
Bitcshes that play pro football, getting paid $20 million to do it. And yet, they say they won’t be “Limbaugh’s slave”?
What a bunch of cawksuckers.
Listen, ya fuqfaces, if you get paid to play, you win.
Bitsches killed baseball by going on strike and now this.
Kill your heroes.
One could hardly call what Limbaugh does “working”.
In his FACE!!! In all you cons faces!
His little toadies Hannity and Limbaugh screamed like stuck pigs “It’s unfair! Rush is being discriminated against!”
Pity poor Rush. He gets denied ownership in a football team. MAYBE this will give him some idea of what it feels like to be denied health care or a place to live?
Nah probably not.
JimJohnson I saw that. I also saw Obama is quietly sending 15,000 more troops. Less than half his generals are asking for.
So why bother? Why go through the motions if you aren’t going to trust your generals on the scene? Why make a political troop cut which effects mission accomplishment and leaves our American men and women in danger?
WTFO? This isn’t leadership. This is a desk jockey president.
Rush Limbaugh says health care is not a right.
Well guess what fat head, neither is owning a professional football team!
OOO! OOOO! OOOOO!

Doublethink is a word described in the fictional language of Newspeak and the act of simultaneously accepting as correct two mutually contradictory beliefs.

Minnesota National Guard soldier from Walker killed
The Department of Defense announced yesterday the death of a Minnesota National Guard Soldier supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Spc. George W. Cauley, 24, of Walker, Minn., died Oct. 10 at Bagram, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained from an Improvised Explosive Device incident that occurred Oct. 7 in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
Cauley was assigned to the 114th Transportation Company, Duluth, Minn.
“We mourn the loss of this brave Soldier,” said Maj. Gen. Larry Shellito, the Adjutant General of the Minnesota National Guard, “Please take a moment to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice made by Spc. Cauley. We will never forget his dedication, loyalty and bravery shown for the United States of America and the state of Minnesota. I ask that you keep Spc. Cauley, his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.”

Watchdog Report Shows Treasury and Fed Failed in AIG Oversight
Geithner is “ultimately responsible” for regulators failing to rein in massive bonus payments at American International Group because he led the agencies that provided AIG’s lifelines, according to Neil Barofsky — special inspector general for the government’s $700 billion financial bailout program.

More Blood On Obama’s Hands
Family and friends mourn the loss of a Valley Marine killed overseas. 20-year-old Lance Corporal Alfonso Ochoa, Jr. was killed in action in Afghanistan over the weekend.
Ochoa was killed Saturday while supporting combat operations in Farah Province in the southwest portion of Afghanistan.
During his senior year, Ochoa transferred from Hanford West to Hanford Adult School, so that he could graduate early and enter the U.S. Marine Corps in January 2008.
Current Hanford West Principal Bobby Peters says Ochoa started developing an interest in joining the military during his junior year. He says the military was a vehicle to better his life, continue his education and serve his country.
Peters describes Ochoa as a good student who worked hard everyday and rarely used excuses. Peters said, “His is one of those stories that I tell other kids, when they maybe facing some adversity in your life, here’s what you do.”
Peters says he was very disappointed and upset to hear about Ochoa’s death.
Obama Couldn’t Care Less, He Is No Hurry To Think and Make His Afghanistan Decision
It took BUSH THREE MONTHS to decide whether to send more troops into Iraq… in 2006… After he had been in charge of the war for THREE YEARS…
Now you dumb fuqs b**ch and gripe because Obama has taken five WEEKS and only been CIC for less than TEN months…
You goof balls have your priorities all Messed Up….

Liberals Increasingly Frustrated With Obama’s Style and Performance
————–
JJ I think the funniest thing I have ever seen was watching Blitzer do a ‘fact check’ on a SNL skit. What a bunch of bozos. Can CNN ever be taken seriously again?
The ‘One’ seems to be losing his magic. And the dumbest thing I have ever seen was picking a fight with the channel that reaches the largest number of viewers by far. Sure it makes sense to refuse to allow White House representative give the administrations side of an argument – just allow Fox to freely give the opposing side.
This works well for me.
“MAYBE because Congress wont fund the full number of troops the generals requested…”
Maybe that’s because Obama hasn’t even ASKED!!!!
Chas, you are smarter than this.
okobserver,
Where is the proof for your false claim that Al Gore made “millions” from AIT?
“lack of effort”?? That would describe the Bush Administration as the storm clouds were gathering. To apply it to the Obama team is the height of absurdity.
Even Greenspan said he was totally wrong in his economic philosophy. The free markets can and will do things that damages themselves and others. Barney Frank is pushing hard to make structural changes to keep this from reoccurring. No more “head, I win, tails, I don’t lose.
Everyone but extreme ideologues agree the “Stimulus” was not only necessary to prevent a much worse collapse, but it continues working to turn things around.
Doing nothing was not an option. We could well be plummeting downward, economically, instead of recovering.

“jobless recovery”
=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Try to keep your talking points straight. ‘Jobless recovery’ is the mantra of administration critics who maintain that the economic recovery isn’t real.
—————–
Daniel when some liberal media types start telling us the recovery is here and we have 17 million and climbing people out of work. Trust me this ain’t no recovery.
Remember when Obama said he doesn’t follow the market because it doesn’t matter.
Elsewhere in the New Testament, Paul wrote to Christians:
Romans chapter 16
17 … Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things that are contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them. 18 Such people are not serving Christ our Lord; they are serving their own personal interests. By smooth talk and glowing words they deceive innocent people.
A reminder on our decisive candidate Obama versus our indecisive President Obama:
As a presidental candidate, Barack Obama repeatedly said he would reinforce the U.S. troops in Afghanistan. Now, as commander-in-chief, however, Obama has thus far failed to heed the request of Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the U.S. commander in Afghanistan, to send more troops to that country.
In July 2008, then-candidate Obama told CNN, “We allowed the Taliban and Al Qaeda to regenerate itself when we had them on the ropes. That was a big mistake, and it’s one I’m going to correct when I’m president.”
On Mar. 27, 2009, Obama announced “I want the American people to understand that we have a clear and focused goal to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat Al Qaeda in Pakistan and Afghanistan and to prevent their return to either country in the future,”
When Obama was campaigning throughout 2007 and 2008, first against fellow Democratic candidates, and then against Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), he said multiple times that the conflict in Afghanistan was a war we “have to win,” that it should be prioritized over Iraq, and that he would redeploy at least two brigades to the country often called the “graveyard of empires.”
Aug. 1, 2007, Obama was already talking about the redeployment he would order as president: “Our troops have fought valiantly there [Afghanistan], but Iraq has deprived them of the support they need — and deserve. … As president, I would deploy at least two additional brigades to Afghanistan to re-enforce our counterterrorism operations and support NATO’s efforts against the Taliban.”
On July 8, 2008 he said he thought Afghanistan was more central to the security of the United States than Iraq. “If another attack on our homeland comes, it will likely come from the same region where 9/11 was planned,” said Obama. “And yet today, we have five times more troops in Iraq than Afghanistan.”
On July 20, 2008, Obama took a trip to Afghanistan and told Lara Logan of CBS: “For at least a year now, I have called for two additional brigades, perhaps three.” He also told Logan he believed “this has to be our central focus, the central front, on our battle against terrorism”
“Our troops and our NATO allies are performing heroically in Afghanistan, but I have argued for years that we lack the resources to finish the job because of our commitment to Iraq,” Obama said.
“And that’s why, as president, I will make the fight against Al Qaeda and the Taliban the top priority that it should be. This is a war that we have to win,” the Democratic nominee said.
first presidential debate, moderated by Jim Lehrer “We took our eye off Afghanistan,” said Obama. “We took our eye off the folks who perpetrated 9/11.”
He also told “CBS Evening News” host Katie Couric that the United States had “failed to seriously go after Al Qaeda over the last five years, because of the distraction of Iraq” and that “we are now seeing the consequences of that in Afghanistan.”
On Jan. 14 of this year, a week before being sworn in as president, Obama again told Couric that the United States “took our eye off the ball,” and that “our real focus has to be on Afghanistan, the border regions between Afghanistan and Pakistan . . . [t]hat’s my number one priority as president of the United States
Despite those comments, Obama recently indicated he may not give McChrystal the 40,000 troops the top military authority in Afghanistan says he needs for success, at least until he is satisfied that the “right strategy” is in place, and apparently in place of the “new comprehensive strategy” he outlined in March
Until some two bit blogger from somewhere near Kansas City is named Commander in Chief, that title belongs to Obama ALONE… And he doesnt need some Shill Blogger to tell him how to do his job… If he isnt moving fast enough to suit your whims and fancies, then GOOD FOR HIM… And SHAME ON YOU!!!
Everyone but extreme ideologues agree the “Stimulus” was not only necessary to prevent a much worse collapse, but it continues working to turn things around.
———
That’s simply not true. Little of the stimulus has even been spent. I give Obama as much credit for this inevitable recovery as I gave Bush when the Dow went to 14,000 in 2007. None.
Now I hope the Obama debt doesn’t smother the recovery. Because contrary to what the liberals think, this conservative wants the economy to do well. Because I make money when it does.

Finally Chas you are getting it. What is he waiting on. Either beef up the troops and committ to winning the war or bring the ’sitting ducks’ that are there home.
He can’t vote ‘present’ anymore.
Chas last got some punetang in 1974, and that was a double bagger. Not being able to see didn’t bother Chas so much, cause his date wasn’t much to look at either, but being family and all Chas couldn’t complain.
Okie you might want to stick around.

Funny, Johnson, you never made such allegations when Bush took THREE MONTHS to decide to send more troops to Iraq!! Funny you only get around to objecting when a Democrat named Obama is President… Funny how you were FOR the stupid war in Iraq, and you are AGAINST a war that MIGHT capture Bin Laden.. you know, the Goon who master-minded 911, and killed thousands…
And how many speeches Bush made, saying, “We’re gonna track down the evil-doers and bring em to justice” Just how many of those “evil-doers” did Bush track down?? HOW MANY JOHNSON???? And he had over SEVEN YEARS to do it…
Obama is trying to make the RIGHT decision, and you are BI**HING after only FIVE WEEKS…
Yep, Johnson… You definitely ARE mentally deranged… not that there has ever been any question about that… But NOW your daily ranting and raving is PROVING it beyond ANY doubt!!!
Naw BJ, just checkin to see if the Phony Preacher wants to play the cuss game, what is the extent of his vocabulary.

Every breath you take. Every move you make..
Chas is talking about MY daily ranting and raving.
ROFLMAO!!!!!
Chas, you can go back to your hole right after you explain the Lord’s Prayer, and how Jesus was not talking about forgiving the trespasses of another.
Oh, BTW Chas, I forgive you again.
You likely know not what you do.
Obama is TRYING to make a decision, hmmmmmmm……
Must be tough for him.
As President, you can’t vote PRESENT. The Buck Doesn’t Stop Somewhere Else!
Obama be the CIC now.
And the CIC of the most powerful country on the planet better be able to make the right decisions and make them timely, or he is utterly incompetent.
What would happen if NORAD called and said “Mr President, we have 10 confirmed incoming missiles originating from Iran, targeting the USA. Do you give us authority to strike back?”
Will Obama just say,
“Let me sleep on it
Baby, baby let me sleep on it
Let me sleep on it
Ill give you an answer in the morning”
“from somewhere near Kansas City”
This is something different. I have been posting on the Weblog for my guess – at least four years?
Although I have met a few of you, and been in email contact with even more of you, I am not living in Wichita (and hating it), like a certain slug who lives on the weblog.
I will be in my hometown over Thanksgiving weekend. I will be attending the KU-MU game on Saturday the 28th of November.
I am throwing the idea out if any WEBLOG bloggers would like to meet at the game (I will be tailgating), or over the holiday, I am extending the offer well in advance.
I am not particular, but because the party of inclusion seems to be particular, I am extending this offer to independent posters, libertarian posters, conservative (truly) posters, and republican posters first. If any liberal, democrat, or conservative democrats wish to join me in a drink, I am freely extending this invitation to you as well equally with all others (except I am not from the party of inclusion).
I am not politically correct. I am a retired Marine from a time when being politically correct maked us puke. I am a good person, well known in my community, active in the same, and an active participant in local civic organisations.
This is not a meet up. But it is an offer for a drink, or one or two, on my tab.
This is a noteworthy invitation only in that by appearing, I will undoubtedly reveal more personal info on me than I or any of you (in right mind)would want to know about me just by showing up.
I will buy rounds and have a tab at the below location. I will provide commO info at a later date.
Throwing this out there now, because I know some of you would have to make prior plans to attend. Think KU game first.

JOHNSON, EVERY ATTACK YOU MAKE ON MY RELIGIOUS PROFESSION, YOU MAKE A MOCKERY OF CHRISTIANITY EVERY… THAT MAKES YOU PRETTY MUCH RHE SAME AS THE TALIBAN…
Chas, please explain the Lords Prayer and expand on your post from last night, when you said Jesus was referring to forgiveness of loans, and not sins.
Your explanation should pretty well clear-up the notion that you might be a Christian.
“…EVERY ATTACK YOU MAKE ON MY RELIGIOUS PROFESSION, YOU MAKE A MOCKERY OF CHRISTIANITY EVERY…”
Okay, since you brought the subject up, you are the one making a mockery of it.
“…explain the Lord’s Prayer, and how Jesus was not talking about forgiving the trespasses of another.” [Johnson]
It’s all pretty obvious… IF you know how to read simple Koine Greek… Which of course, you DONT… BTW, dummy, the quotation you posted before used the words “debts” and “debtors” or did you forget that??
In Old English, debts/debtors roughly equals trespass/trespasses…. which, BTW, in either case, is a FINANCIAL TERM….
My explanation from before, using the Koine Greek, stands… and HAS stood, for Centuries… Johnson, you are the square wheel on this one… That means YOU ARE WRONG, NOT TO MENTION BEING FULL OF SCHITT!!
“YOU MAKE A MOCKERY OF CHRISTIANITY”
Actually Chas that describes yourself to a tee.
You bad mouth people, belittle people, call them names, liars, and then you have the audacity to tell us your claim to being a “preacher”.
To top it off, you are NONCOMMITTAL to Jesus Christ the risen Lord and Savior. Finally you top off every night with your good night post which is NONCOMMITAL to who God is and is a puss y excuse for a post about your personal beliefs (whatever those really are).
“when you said Jesus was referring to forgiveness of loans, and not sins.” [jOHNSON]
I Didnt say loans…
The phrase in that prayer uses FINANCIAL terms… debts/debtors or if you prefer, tresspass/trespasses……..
A literal translation from the Koine Greek would read: “Forgive us our debts, in like manner as we forgive those who are in debt to us.”
So, YES, the terms are FINANCIAL… BTW, dunce, Jesus wouldnt have used “loans” since his culture had a LAW against usury.
IF somebody owes you a DEBT… not a LOAN… not necessarily even money… a DEBT, the way you forgive that debt, is the way YOUR debts to GOD will be forgiven…
Thus, if you are a hard A$* and wont forgive the debt your neighbor owes you, dont be expecting any forgiveness from your God…
GET IT??? (Of course, you wont get it… it involves a degree of abstract thought)

Based on your 10:14 post Chas, I rest my case.
You might be a pastor of some religion, but it is not Christian.
=============================================
And, once again JIMJOHNSON LIES… BECAUSE HE HATES AMERICA, AND HE HATES GOD!!!
“IF you know how to read simple Koine Greek… ”
That’s pretty funny coming from a guy who posted earlier about the Dow Jones Industrial Average hitting 14,000 a decade ago (1990’s)……
aMwAY ALSO lies… i NEVER SAID 1990′S YOU STUPID PIECE OF RIGHT WING BULL SCHITT…
Reg. said early 2000’s, and then danced his way around it… But that’s OK… We all knew he didnt know what he was prattling about anyway… Of course, AmWay, neither do YOU…
The ‘preacher’ waxes eloquently again at 10:31.
Give it a rest Chas. Are you incable of having a rational adult discussion without personal attacks and foul language?
I’ve yet to see that in you.
Ummm, AmWay, not sure of my plans yet for Thanksgiving. Waiting to see if my daughter comes back home from Chicago.
High Noon Saloon sounds good. It’s been a long time since I was there last.
AmWay… here’s one for you to ponder… Does it REALLY MATTER??? Does it REALLY??? IF it really matters, you would be dancing all over because the DJIA broke 10,000 today for the first time in a LONG time…
All you did was trash the markets… So, ya know, I dont really give a fuq if it was 1997 or 2007 or what it was… Reg. is such a stickler for detail… IF he mean a specific year, then he should have SAID a specific year…. Why dont you go blow smoke up his butt for a while…
Cause, you know, I REALLY DONT CARE what you think, or what JimJohnson thinks, or what ANTI thinks….
See, I KNOW what I do for a living… and what I have done for over 30 years… in fact 31 years on October 25…
So, I really dont GIVE A RIP if you dumb butts want to believe it or not… Cause there isnt one DAMN thing you can do about it…
So, PIZZ on all of you goons!!!
Johnson at 10:33 — Awwww poor Johnson… What’s the matter Shiffur Brains, you can dish it out ALL DAY, and cant take it??
PIZZ on ya!!!
P.S. — I dont know how your daughter could stand being around you for a long Holiday!!
“IF you know how to read simple Koine Greek…”
Not being a religious guy, but somewhat of a historical buff on ancient texts, I am familiar with the Elzevir, Griesbach, Lachmann, Tischendorf (8th edition 1865), Tregelles, Alford, and Wordsworth texts. I am somewhat aware of the contrast of these to the Stephens 1550 – Textus Receptus (as revised by the Elzevir of 1624). Reading these using the Koine might be necessary if not for a dozen nice biblical research books published ages ago which provides a comparison and contrast of the various greek texts.
A simple Greek to English interlinear masters the skill of the Koine for any reader. The software to convert languages is freely available on the web (share/freeware) or for a price for more intensive study.
But to read Koine doesn’t bring you any closer to the way, the truth, and the light, than a dozen other research tools commonly available. However, it might make Chas feel superior and smarter than the average bear by posting about it.
” not sure of my plans yet for Thanksgiving”
Be nice to see you again JJ. I know I’ll be busy on Turkeyday itself. But I have the Friday and Saturday after free. Still waiting on start time for the KU/MU game (TBA)… That could mean I put the money on the bar Friday or Saturday.
“P.S. — I dont know how your daughter could stand being around you for a long Holiday!!”
Now there’s the words my preacher would say to me as he shakes my hand after Sunday morning services.
NOT
“P.S. — I dont know how your daughter could stand being around you for a long Holiday!!”
Chas, either you know his daughter or you are playing God; which is it.
And JJ, Chas never did answer your question the Lords Prayer.
He dances. I think its because he really does not know.
Some would give Chas credit and say it’s because he doesn’t want to offend other believers. But I can’t believe that. Chas has no problem offending ANY poster.
If it was the Pople himself, Chas would tell him to STFU!!!
Thank GOD Johnson isnt a member of my parish…
AmWay, you have stated NUMEROUS times that you dont care much about religion of any kind… Dont be a hypocrite now… just because I’m a liberal, and youre NOT…
Seems to me you dont have a dog in that particular hunt…. Why dont you just keep out of what you arent IN to….
AMWAY — IDIOT… Guess you need to borrow your granny’s reading glasses…….

Not unusual for Chas to be unable to answer a question, even one in his alledged area of expertise.
Good grief, the two CON experts cant even tell an answer when they see one…
Oh, yea, I did mention it takes a degree of abstract thought… That would explain it…
Well… road trip tomorrow….
god bless all, whatver you conceive god to be…
oh yea, peace be among you, in your preparations for the upcoming holidays, including CHRISTMAS!!!
and god bless us every one!!
It’s surprising to some that Jesus was Greek, and said the Lord’s Prayer in Greek.
(sarcasm off)
DAMN, Johnson is ignorant… Who ever said Jesus was a Greek, or said the Lord’s Prayer in Greek??? However, he MIGHT have said it in Greek, since Greek was the “common language” at that time… However, most likely, Jesus spoke Aramaic, and his words were written down by the Gospel writers in the “common language” of Koine Greek…
Instead of making a mockery, why dont you just look it up, or else admit that you dont know a damned thing of what you are prattling about???
LOSER… of the highest ORDER of LOSERS!!!
At least, that is how I am going to play it.
Get that letter from the city yet James?:)

Disillusioned liberals yearn for Hillary Clinton
By: Chris Stirewalt

Where were you when you came to the panicky realization that Hillary Clinton was right?
For me, it was while driving to work one recent morning and talking with a colleague about the state of the health legislation. I was explaining how the Obama plan wasn’t really about universal coverage but rather cutting a deal with the insurance industry and then making it look good for liberals.
I paused, realizing that I had just repeated, almost verbatim, the lines that Clinton used to bludgeon then-Sen. Barack Obama during the Democratic primaries.
As they debated in Cleveland — the nastiest of their one-on-one matchups after John Edwards dropped out to spend more time with his families — Clinton charged that Obama wouldn’t play tough enough and would get rolled by the insurance industry.
Her words came back to me: “Senator Obama’s plan does not cover everyone. It would leave, give or take, 15 million people out.”

Recovery You Can Believe In!
U.S. Foreclosure Filings Jump 23% to Record in Third Quarter
Oct. 15 (Bloomberg) — U.S. foreclosure filings climbed to a record in the third quarter as lenders seized more properties from delinquent borrowers, according to RealtyTrac Inc.
A total of 937,840 homes received a default or auction notice or were repossessed by banks, a 23 percent increase from a year earlier, the Irvine, California-based seller of default data said today in a report. One out of every 136 U.S. households received a filing, the highest quarterly rate in records dating to January 2005.
“The problem is prime loans going into foreclosure and people being underwater and losing their jobs,” Richard Green, director of the Lusk Center for Real Estate at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, said in an interview. “It’s a really bad number.”
Mounting foreclosures mean U.S. home prices probably will resume falling, analysts from Amherst Securities Group LP in New York said Sept. 23. A “shadow inventory” of 7 million properties are in the foreclosure process or likely to be seized, up from 1.27 million in 2005, they said.

Officials look at scenarios for Afghan ‘middle path’
White House meetings consider changing focus to holding urban areas, with fewer new troops than requested.
Reporting from Washington – As the Obama administration debates whether to shift its aims in Afghanistan, officials at the Pentagon and National Security Council have begun developing “middle path” strategies that would require fewer troops than their ground commander is seeking.

Gee, Over FIFTEEN hours…. WOW!! Is this a new Blog Record??
James “Regular” McCluer is responsible for any number of nics here. Just as he always has been.
What a tool he is. Everyone on the left knows who “outed” him. And if he could hear what some of the con posters I have met have said to me about him?
I’m sorry for the guy. He came to this forum to be a clown and that is all he is. The ONE time when a con poster could have got his back, that poster was a no show.

==============================================
No, I’m not a circuit preacher… I serve a Congregation, currently in Texas. I am what we call an Interim Pastor… When a Pastor leaves one church to move on to another, there is a Transition period… I serve as a Pastor to transition churches… I have been doing Interim ministry for over 12 years now… Before that I served “settled” Calls.
Hope that helps.
My denomination doesnt have such a thing as a circuit preacher, except for Pastors who serve what we call multiple parishes… 2 or more congregations that share one Pastor. That is still considered a “Settled” Call.
Yes it did, thanks. I’m familiar with interim pastors having been raised in the Baptist church, some time they were lay people or they were retired pastors.
It’s just past midnight Americans, and another day closer to victory!!
High Temperature:
Low Temperature:
Actual: 56° F
Actual: 44° F
Normal: 72° F
Record High: 91° F in 1975
Record Low: 27° F in 1917
———————–
My my, a 64 degree F temperature swing in record temperatures.
In 1975, on this date, it was 35 Degrees F warmer than the high for today was.
Must be that global warming thing that caused such a variance in temperature and cause the temperature to go down like that.
