One job no Democrat wants?

dirtyjobsMarveling that 15 million Americans are out of work yet the Kansas Democratic Party can’t find one candidate for governor, Topeka Capital-Journal columnist Ric Anderson quipped: “Pretty soon, that guy from ‘Dirty Jobs’ is going to show up. Talk about an opportunity hardly anybody wants to touch.”

I don’t know why any Democrat would want to hold public office in Kansas. In fact, I think anybody who claims to be progressive should just move out of Kansas and leave the state to the Cons. Let them finish making Kansas the world’s largest cesspool.

Traditional values like having a strip club in every neighborhood, a tavern on every corner, big fancy churches with all their gold crosses and those casinos just across the Oklahoma border where all the ‘good family values’ Kansans fill up their parking lots?

    You mean those traditional values?

Kansas is so full of traditional family values that we get to see those girls from the local strip clubs dance on our local Fox channel inviting us all to come see them.

Oh boy, those good old-fashioned Kansas family values – they are a hoot, aren’t they?

    Mr. West,

Although the way you communicated in your last post (“she kisses up to Brownback instead”) is all too common on this blog and in politics, do you think it adds to your appeal?

Is it possible voters are looking for someone who can rise above the level of personal insults?

What do you think will get you recognition as a viable candidate for governor of the state of Kansas?

    Kansas loves its history.
And recent history is this: Only two Republican governors have been re-elected in the last 50 years–John Anderson in 1962 and Bill Graves in 1998.
Why not wait four years and take Brownback out then?
This is Kansas. Nothing’s going to happen in the meantime.

    To Governor Parkinson.
Sir, if you don’t want to run for election, have Lt. Governor Finley step down, appoint me Lt. Governor and then resign. I can handle the job and still run for election in 2010. I am not a Chris Steineger who wants to dismantle the entire state and run around Dictating and Illegaly Firing the 92 Counties Sheriffs’ and other Elected Officials to include the State Legislature. No one else has even come close to offering any insight, to the residents of Kansas. Give the Legislature, and the rest of the State, to include the residents a year to see how I function, and then they will either keep me or kick me to the curb. That gives the Democratic party until June 2010 to show support and find a candidate and back their choice in reflection to my track record that will be in the public/election eye. What have you got to lose sir?
I am a Democrat, you are a Democrat. In Counties, when a Democrat leaves their elected post, they are replaced by a Democrat. If a Republican leaves, they are replaced by a Republican. Read my website, please respectfully consider this suggestion, I hope you see I approached it respectfully too you. I meant no disrespect in this approach. Just a thought. Herbert West 3rd, Uncontested Democratic Candidate for Kansas Governor, 2010. {No other Democrat has filed or declared themselves as a candiate thus far, is why I am Uncontested for now}. http://herbertwest3rd.blogspot.com/ west.herb@yahoo.com 1-913-294-9375.
