Marveling that 15 million Americans are out of work yet the Kansas Democratic Party can’t find one candidate for governor, Topeka Capital-Journal columnist Ric Anderson quipped: “Pretty soon, that guy from ‘Dirty Jobs’ is going to show up. Talk about an opportunity hardly anybody wants to touch.”

I don’t know why any Democrat would want to hold public office in Kansas. In fact, I think anybody who claims to be progressive should just move out of Kansas and leave the state to the Cons. Let them finish making Kansas the world’s largest cesspool.
Do you need some help packing, XXX?
Ric and Rhonda???? Herbert West III, Uncontested Democratic Candidate for Kansas Governor, 2010.
Just a reminder –
I am not now, nor have I ever been, a candidate for Governor of the great State of Kansas.
There you go Dems, Herbert West has stepped up.
I need to get me a t shirt.
‘Future ex Kansan”

Save the money for your move.

You’re right. Those hive-dwelling progressives really should leave the state. They’d be happier.
“Chrisfrommactown” asks –
“Do you need some help packing…?
That might cut into your flirting-with-20-year-old-liquor-store-clerks time.
“I need to get me a t shirt.

Drop “Future” and I will buy.
This is a serious topic.
Brownback as governor, aided and abetted by the Kansas legislature.
Seriously.

If you’re a political animal and not a Con in this state, you’re wasting your time. I don’t ever see Kansas being anything but the Republican stronghold that it is.
Conservative ideas have made Kansas the laughable backwater that it is.
Here you go XXX,
Some progressive states you and fellow Kansas hater BlueJay can move to:
I’ve listed their unemployment rate for your perusal.
Illinois 10.5
California 12.2
Michigan 15.5
By the way, the unemployment rate in Kansas is 6.9 percent.
Michigan 15.5
We’re #1 !!! We’re #1!!!
And in the fifth year…. you’ll be blooooown away
Conservative ideas have made Kansas the laughable backwater that it is.

I guess that makes me a backwoods, hillbilly, pasty, racist, Christian, according to the “Party of Tolerance”.

Or IMO, a traditional values stronghold XXX, which is not a bad thing. I feel lucky to have grown up here and to be raising my family here. It is a better life.
Awwww. Start dissing on one of the liberal Gov sweethearts and the lil dems run away. Huh.
Conservative ideas have made Kansas the laughable backwater that it is.
I wonder how much Bio-tech or tech business lost because of the evolution debate
Conservative ideas have made Kansas the laughable backwater that it is.
How about Bill Otto’s rapping skills? Lynn Jenkins laughing at a single mom, or her Great White Hope?
Conservative ideas have made Kansas the laughable backwater that it is.
Senators Brownback and Roberts recent pro rape votes
Thanks for the mention on WE blog!
With respect to Mr. West, I just want to clarify what I wrote. Here’s the text:
“Let’s see, the latest monthly report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that 15.1 million Americans are out of work. And the Kansas Democratic Party has only been able to draw one candidate for governor?”
Hey, nobody sensible wants to preside over the coming aviation and agriculture meltdowns.

Traditional values like having a strip club in every neighborhood, a tavern on every corner, big fancy churches with all their gold crosses and those casinos just across the Oklahoma border where all the ‘good family values’ Kansans fill up their parking lots?
You mean those traditional values?
Kansas is so full of traditional family values that we get to see those girls from the local strip clubs dance on our local Fox channel inviting us all to come see them.
Oh boy, those good old-fashioned Kansas family values – they are a hoot, aren’t they?
Traditional values like having a strip club in every neighborhood, a tavern on every corner, big fancy churches with all their gold crosses
I don’t have any of those in my neighborhood.
Do you live just off of Broadway near the “no tell” motels?
Wny no, no there not toto.
I figured there would be an idiotic response like that. Ya didn’t disappoint toto.

Welcome to the blog, Ric.
Are you telling us that Herb West is a REAL candidate?
All this time I thought SNL was setting us up for another Kansas joke.
Mr. West is a declared candidate. However, the party has yet to endorse a candidate for governor.
Thank you for clarifying, Mr. Ric Anderson. Rhonda Holman refuses to post news, she kisses up to Brownback instead. Thanks again.
Mr. West,
Although the way you communicated in your last post (“she kisses up to Brownback instead”) is all too common on this blog and in politics, do you think it adds to your appeal?
Is it possible voters are looking for someone who can rise above the level of personal insults?
What do you think will get you recognition as a viable candidate for governor of the state of Kansas?
How long before you leave BlueJay?
This is cause to plan a party!
I reiterate –
I am not now — nor have I ever been — a candidate for Governor of the great State of Kansas.
Kansas loves its history.
And recent history is this: Only two Republican governors have been re-elected in the last 50 years–John Anderson in 1962 and Bill Graves in 1998.
Why not wait four years and take Brownback out then?
This is Kansas. Nothing’s going to happen in the meantime.

C’mon, tell the truth. You’re just being coy, aren’t you?
Toto,
The taverns and strip clubs are necessary. How would the churches get money in the plate if parishoners had nothing overt to atone for?
“Daniel” –
If nominated, I shall not run.
If elected, I shall not serve.
If served, I might have a nibble or two.
(are those pigs-in-a-blanket?)
How about a ONE job a dempcrap DOES want ???
Hummm?

Damnit, “BlueJay!” –
They’re goats. Not sheep.
And I suspect “Nathaniel” has a favorite.
Is there a chiro-quackic cure for goat herpes?
Hope it’s covered by insurance.
It’s all in the spinal subluxation, after all.
To Governor Parkinson.
Sir, if you don’t want to run for election, have Lt. Governor Finley step down, appoint me Lt. Governor and then resign. I can handle the job and still run for election in 2010. I am not a Chris Steineger who wants to dismantle the entire state and run around Dictating and Illegaly Firing the 92 Counties Sheriffs’ and other Elected Officials to include the State Legislature. No one else has even come close to offering any insight, to the residents of Kansas. Give the Legislature, and the rest of the State, to include the residents a year to see how I function, and then they will either keep me or kick me to the curb. That gives the Democratic party until June 2010 to show support and find a candidate and back their choice in reflection to my track record that will be in the public/election eye. What have you got to lose sir?
I am a Democrat, you are a Democrat. In Counties, when a Democrat leaves their elected post, they are replaced by a Democrat. If a Republican leaves, they are replaced by a Republican. Read my website, please respectfully consider this suggestion, I hope you see I approached it respectfully too you. I meant no disrespect in this approach. Just a thought. Herbert West 3rd, Uncontested Democratic Candidate for Kansas Governor, 2010. {No other Democrat has filed or declared themselves as a candiate thus far, is why I am Uncontested for now}. http://herbertwest3rd.blogspot.com/ west.herb@yahoo.com 1-913-294-9375.
