Clinton pressures Pakistan

Pakistan USSecretary of State Hillary Clinton got blunt in Pakistan, speaking to newspaper editors: “Al-Qaida has had safe haven in Pakistan since 2002. I find it hard to believe that nobody in your government knows where they are and couldn’t get them if they really wanted to. Maybe that’s the case; maybe they’re not gettable. I don’t know.”
Meanwhile, a new book by former Obama campaign manager David Plouffe confirms that Clinton came close to being vice president. “I think Bill may be too big a complication,” Plouffe writes, quoting Barack Obama. “If I picked her, my concern is that there would be more than two of us in the relationship.”

This administration can’t make a decision on Afghanistan. Do you think anyone in the Mid-East takes America seriously anymore?

    Try apologizing like the CIC.

    Afghanistan is not about Afghanistan.

    Afghanistan is about Pakistan.

These are banana republics at best. I do buy that they don’t know where they are.
I am pleased with someone talking tough (or at least blunt) with Pakistan at this point.
I had serious issues with the Bush administrations lack of action in the Kashmir region because of diplomatic relations with Pakistan. Seemed the whole “You’re with us or against us” went out the window in dealing with the Pakistani’s.
It’s about terrorism pure and simple and the Governments that support and/or harbor them.

Pakistan is a nuclear country, but apparently the cons don’t care if terrorist organizations get the bomb. They’d just blame it on Obama anyway.

They don’t have it now and he is the President.
Not as convenient as Bush of course, but a fact nonetheless.

Good for Hillary! The bush administration not only gave Pakistan a pass but actually eased existing sanctions on them in order to get bin Laden. bush not wanting to GET bin Laden notwithstanding, Pakistan has not kept up its end of the deal.

Good for Hillary! American citizens work long and hard to pay their taxes and why should we beg foreign countries to take our aid? If they don’t want it, I’m sure we could (probably) find better uses for it within our own borders.

Hillary will leave Pakistan with the coordinates for Bin Laden in her pantsuit hip pocket.

I bet if it’d been Condi, the plane would have turned around upon announcement of the bombing.
