Roeder not the guy to help Tiahrt

roederNo surprise that a mailer for the U.S. Senate campaign of Rep. Todd
Tiahrt, R-Goddard, described his commitment to “fight for the rights of
the unborn.” But the names on the mailing list reportedly included Scott
Roeder, awaiting trial on charges of killing Wichita abortion doctor
George Tiller. “Oh, great,” a campaign spokesman told the Kansas City
Star. “We’ll make the vendor aware of it.”

Perhaps there should be a federal investigation into the ties between Roeder and Tiahrt.

I’m being facetious of course, but if it were reversed the cons would be saying that. No bar low enough.

Still no other arrests in the conspiracy of an entire movement dedicated to killing abortion doctors. Why is that?

No chance I suppose, that in a state with three and a half million people, there just might be more than one Scott Roeder?

Where was the outrage about a pro-lifer killed by a pro-choice person?

There was none. Taking of another life is murder outside of self defense.

    When did that happen?

Roeder is not Tiahrt’s only radical affiliation. Remember his extensive ties and associations to pedophile Mark Foley.

Poor ol’ Mark Foley. Another example of it’s-a-crime-to-be-queer-if-you-are-a-republican!

Can’t bring him down for being gay so just lie and claim he was a pedophile!

Then, any republican that happened to be in congress with him had ‘extensive ties and associations’!

    Even more pathetic.

True it could have been another “Scott Roeder.”
EXCEPT that it came to his ex-wife and son’s home. His son brought it in with the mail. Sadly, our son was reading the commitment through the cellophane window on the envelope fro Tiahrt as he held a letter from his incarcerated father in the other.

This is when and where it happened:

    September 11, 2009

(CNN) — Authorities have charged an Owosso, Michigan, man with two counts of first-degree premeditated murder in the Friday shooting deaths of an anti-abortion activist and another man, a prosecutor’s office said.

Activist Jim Pouillon was shot and killed Friday while protesting outside Owosso High School.

Authorities say the suspect, Harlan James Drake, was offended by anti-abortion material that the activist had displayed across from the school all week.

Drake, 33, is accused of shooting anti-abortion activist Jim Pouillon, 63, and Michael Fuoss, 61, who were killed in separate locations Friday morning, the prosecutor’s office in Shiawassee County said.

Authorities also have charged Drake with a felony firearm count and carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent, the prosecutor’s office said.

Drake also is suspected of “attempting to locate a third victim without success,” the office said.

He was arraigned Friday and is being held without bail, the office said. It was not immediately known whether he had an attorney.

Pouillon, whose anti-abortion activity was well-known in the area, was protesting across the street from Owosso High School about 7:20 a.m. Friday when he was killed by several shots fired from a passing vehicle, Owosso Police Chief Michael Compeau said. Watch Compeau talk about the incident »

Several people witnessed the shooting, and one was able to provide a license number, he said.

WDIV: Anti-abortion activist shot, killed near school
About an hour later, Owosso police officers found the suspect, Compeau said.

“At the time of his arrest, the suspect made statements that he was involved in another homicide in Shiawassee County the same day,” he said.

Sheriff George Braidwood said a call had come to a 911 dispatch center about 8:17 a.m. saying that an employee at Fuoss Gravel, outside Owosso, had discovered the owner, Michael Fuoss, dead. He had been shot several times, Braidwood said.

Authorities believe that Fuoss and the suspect knew each other, Braidwood said.

According to Sara Edwards of the county prosecutor’s office, authorities do not believe that Drake knew Pouillon.

Operation Save America, the anti-abortion group of which Pouillon was a member, said in a written statement that he was “well known for his love of Christ and unborn children.”

The Owosso school district went into immediate lockdown after the shooting outside of the high school and remained so until the suspect was in custody, Compeau said

The high school’s administration offered parents the option of picking up their children, he said. All after-school activities were canceled, he added.

Owosso, a town of about 15,000 people, is about 25 miles west of Flint, Michigan.

CNN’s Eden Pontz, Laura Dolan and Jean Shin contributed to this report.

That Tiahrt would ask for money from a terrorism suspect isn’t surprising, this is a guy who defended Miltia groups after the OKC bombing. And Roeder would only be on a campaign fundraising list because he gave money before, considering hes been a felon since the mid 90’s is a bit disconcerting, I wonder who else he gave money to?

As for the guy in Mich Mr Pouillon theirs no proof that he was murdered for being pro life or that his Killer had any ties to pro choice groups. In fact his own family said his sign waving was less about being pro life and more about getting a razz out of people.

    Did CNN lie?

Donating money to campaigns is not the only way to get on a mailing list. Sign a petition, sign up at a meeting, etc.

Tiahrt has done a lot for Wichita and Kansas. He has also been willing to stand up for a voice that is not heard. The voice of the unborn.

Tiahrt does not run from his pro-life position like some elected officials. Some of the vote pro-life but are afraid to be out in front on the issue. Tiahrt does not run away from the issues.

I know many pro life people who are offended by the “truth truths” that doesn’t make them pro choice by any means nor does it prove the Michigan Guy went pro choice shooting spree, the gravel pit owner or the other guy he planned on killing as far as I can tell weren’t related. and here’s a statement by Mr Pouillon’s son.

“It will be impossible for some to believe, but my dad really didn’t care about abortion.

He did this to stalk, harass, terrorize, scream at, threaten, frighten, and verbally abuse women. He had a pathologic hatred of women: his mom, my mom, everyone.

After my mom finally left him and he lost his favorite punching bag the violence and abuse that was always contained within our 4 walls was unleased on the people of Owosso.

My dad used the pro-life movement and 1st Amendments foundations to defend him, support him, and enable him. He fooled them all.

He was at the high shool because my niece was there, and female family members were always his favorite targets.

Again, my dad didn’t care about abortion. He wanted to hurt people, upset people. He enjoyed making people suffer.

His goal was to be shot on a sidewalk. His goal was to make someone so angry, to make them feel so terrorized, to make them feel the only way they could make him stop was to kill him.

His pro-life stance was the most perfect crime I personally know of. He hid behind the 1st Amendment and was allowed to stalk, terrorise, harass, be obsene, ect. These things are crimes. Offending people isn’t a crime, and having different political views isn’t a crime, but he committed several crimes over the last 20 years and got away with it.

Yes I really am his oldest son. Owosso is now rid of a mad man”

Interesting how you can find two sides to a story when trying to prove others wrong.

You ignore the other side of a story to make your point.

Poor CNN must not have the facts. What will the libs do now?

“You ignore the other side of a story to make your point.”

If you write a book setting out your opposition to “A,” there is no requirement in any way that you must also write one in support of “A.”

Beyond that, the “other side” is irrelevant to the point made.

Yes, it’s clear that duh Libs want justification for gunning someone down.

You know, the old man was nuts, out of his mind. It was humane to gun him down in public.

All of this sounds like something out of a Twilight Zone plot.

Condemn the dead, it’s easy – they can’t fight back.

Politico, the guy who shot the anti-choice terrorist wasn’t a pro-choicer. He just didn’t like the sign. There are a LOT of anti-choicers who don’t like the signs either. The guy who shot him had no history of any sort of belonging to any pro-choice organization. He just thought the sign was vulgar, and was on a rampage.

Its funny despite Regulars proclamation I haven’t seen anyone on this blog or anywhere else justify the murder of Mr Pouillon. That doesn’t change the fact that Tiahrt campaign solicited funds from a alleged murder( who has plenty of people justifying what he did) Its most confusing error, that Roeder hasn’t lived at address( or been registered to vote at that address) that the fundraising plea was sent to for a decade, he hasn’t even voted since 1994, somebody at the KRP definitely needs to update their database.

Now comments are just plain creeping me out!! So Tiahrts campaign had misinformation about my address and sent the mailer to Scott–his committment to Scott aside–Scott had re-registered to voite at a different address in 1994–which is still on his voter registration. So that leaves Scott signing a petition or donating money and using my address. What creeps me out is what else has he used my address for?

    Tom,
“It will be impossible for some to believe, but my dad really didn’t care about abortion.

As someone who spent years observing anti’s, I have often wondered how many of these jokers are simply rampant misogynists. I know there were some several in Troyboy’s camp who were on the run from court orders to pay child support, and who had abuse charges filed against them. I was there when one mean old fart was accused of molesting a child (by a fellow anti). Same old guy wore a sandwich-board sign, behind which he could often be observed playing pocket-pool.
