Given that its unemployment rate of nearly 10 percent is higher than the national average, it was a bit surprising that Wichita was ranked among “America’s best places to find a job” by U.S. News & World Report. Wichita’s top 10 ranking appears to have been helped by its stable housing market, growing health care sector and proximity to a military base. The ranking did note that “the aviation industry has been affected by the downturn” (talk about an understatement) but said that “the industry’s recovery portends a strong opportunity for the city to grow in the future.”

Lotsa jobs in the fas food industry.
This appears to be true. In the past few months, even in these troubled economic times, I know several people that have gotten some nice jobs.
One for about $32K/yr, one for $40K/yr and another one $11/hr.
There are jobs out there. I currently have a good job but have been contacted by 2 job recruiters recently. The fact that some don’t grasp is that jobs don’t come looking for you. Granted the job you get may not be your dream job but if it pays the bills it can suffice until something better appears

Both of my sons are not living locally, each ask me how the job search is going? I tell them and both made the same comment. “Dad I just can not picture you asking if you would like fries with that?”.

Maybe true but I look bad in a dress and shaving my legs would leave razor burns.

There is the trouble I have been having, every job offer has been less then the unemployment.

You could do like the Germans do, where panty hose on their unshaven legs.
“Regular” suggests –
“…do like the Germans do, where panty hose on their unshaven legs.”
Homonym problems.

I knew a girl then, now a woman who’s parent would not let her shave her legs in High School.
pantyhose did not make it any better Hair sprouting out through the hose. Lovely girl other then that and the best artist you could meet. The last time I met her she was clean shaven and still cute.
But “Regular” never resorts to name-calling.

At least Monkeyhawk appreciates my superior intellect.
What’s wrong with the rest of you?
The Wichita immigrants will be sorely disappointed!
