Columnist Richard Cohen argues that the one sure thing we have learned about President Obama and “teachable moments” is that Obama can’t teach. Cohen contends that Obama failed to teach during the Henry Louis Gates controversy, and that his “above-the-fray” coolness is also hurting his ability to explain to the public the need for health care reform and the continued war in Afghanistan.
