Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kan., joked during a meeting in Lawrence Monday that he had a foolproof plan to win the governorship in 2010. He recalled how he recently met with members of the Dinka tribe of south Sudan. They told him that they have 10 members in their tribe who play basketball and are more than 7 feet in height. “So I’m thinking, if we can get three in Kansas — one at KU, one at K-State and one at Wichita State æ.æ.æ. this is all over.”

More pandering to Kansas voters by Brownback. Is that all he got out of a tax financed trip to Africa, especially Sudan? Impeachment would be too good.
Brownback has what it takes to get this state moving again. As governor, he will be able to leverage his national and international experience to create new opportunities.
From the article:
During a Monday breakfast meeting organized by the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, the soon-to-be-former senator served up his vision for the state’s future: one that’s pro-growth, pro-business, pro-Lawrence and decidedly pro-Kansas.
He noted previous and ongoing work to win a National Cancer Institute designation for Kansas University, establish a National Bio- and Agro-Defense Facility in Manhattan, bolster military intelligence activities in Leavenworth, enhance wind-energy efforts in the state, expand animal agriculture production in western Kansas, and boost tourism in the Flint Hills with the possibility of a new destination hotel.
He foresees even more.
“These are the sorts of things we can do to grow: targeted and specific,” Brownback told a crowd of 100 chamber members and their guests. “And where Kansas comes together — Republican, Democrat; liberal, conservative — and says, ‘We can do this, we’re going to do this and we’re pushing it forward,’ that’s the way we grow. We’re not big enough, populationwise, to be fighting with each other, and then think we’re going to be able to take this on and win it on a national and international basis.
Kansas is number 1 for damages and deaths by tornadoes. Greensburgh had a 14,000 gallon ammonia leak during its tornado. Ammonia is used greatly in BIO LABS. A fool cannot have a foolproof plan. He cannot back all his claims. Kansas is in the top 3 states for ICE Storms and dameges from them. With 100,000 thousands of people effected yearly. Kansas had 123 tornados last year. Greensburgh had $123,000,000,00 in damages. $268 million was declared for the entire state in 2007. The USA is number 1 for tornados. We are number 1 for ICE Storm Damage. There are currently 6 level 4 BIO facilities in the USA. Not 1 is in tornado alley. Not 1 has ever been comprimised by the enviroment. Tornados WIN, PERIOD!!!!!!!! Brownback cannot back his claims. He is trying to sell our resources for a Pesonal Agenda bucks. Imagine a wind mill flying at you in a tornado. Greensburgh had a 22 mile long path 1.5 miles wide. How fast are you??? Herbert West 3rd, Candidate for Governor, 2010. I am not blowing wind! Click on my name above and read my website. Thanks.
Allow me o back my thoughts. 123 Tornados in Kansas in 2007. Greensburgh received the only EF5, the strongest tornado there is. It caused $153 million in insured damages. A total of $268 million in damage was caused in the state. There was a 14,000 gallon ammonia leak that had to be contained in a 95% destruction zone. Imagine trying to contain Ammonia and Bio Hazards in a BIO LAB destruction zone. Ammonia is one of the #1 compounds/elements used in a Bio Lab. Kansas has had 2110 tornadoes from 1950 to 1994. That is 47.95 tornados a year. 1994 to 2009 would add 119.25 more for a total of 2239.25 tornadoes. Still we have to look at the yearly number. Almost 50 tornadoes a year. The United States is number 1 globaly for tornadoes. Kansas is ranked in the top 10 for tornadoes. Why endanger us and the entire United States with a Bio Lab? In 2007, 1.5 million people had power loss do to Ice Storms. The damage was to the power pole and lines. Wind Mills will be damaged just like pwer poles. Wind Mills cost $40,000 each!! If damaged or destroyed by ICE they have to be replaced. A utility pole costs how much? They cost an average of $900.00 a pole. $900 vs. $40,000 to replace. Insurance rates are high enough. Consider 100 Wind Mills get destroyed in a tornado or Ice Storm. $4,000,000.00 to replace them. 100 utility poles get destroyed in a tornado or Ice Storm, $90,000. OOPS!! 1 Inch of Ice is heavy enough to break utility poles. Kansas has an average of 1.5 to 2 inches of Ice during a storm. The utility lines might be buried, except the Wind Mill is exposed. Wind increase the drop in temperature. Fans cool things off. Wind Mills will decrease the temperature and increase Ice formation. Then these Wind Mills fall over and are destroyed. They have not thought this through. The other countrys using Wind Mills don’t have winters like us. And they have the option of putting their Wind Mills in restricted areas. They don’t put them in a Populated area. Again a fool cannot have a foolproof plan. He speaks without stats, he blows hot air and sounds technical. I agree with agriculture, cattle and other NEEDS! I don’t believe in Wind Mills and BIO LABS. I believe in realistic goals. Why doesn’t Brownback want a Volcano Lab here? How about an Oceanography Lab? Kansas already has condemned land because of mining hazards. How much of Kansas does he want to condemn??? All he wants to do is use the Governors Office to protect his Federal Corruption. Don’t let that happen! Vote responsibly, Herbert West 3rd, Candidate for Kansas Governor. Click on my name above and read up on me. Thanks,
“We should not go by what can be proven or disproved. We should go by what we believe!”
Senator Brownback said that, do you operate in your own life with such a concept?
Do we want a Governor who does?
Perhaps Brownback can merely pray the Sudanese basketball players come to Kansas.
If Brownback is elected governer, do we have to start wearing barb-wire jockstraps?
governor
rats!
Brownback’s plan B, pitch a tent and have an oldfashioned revival.
Kansas, where C-Street and Main Street meet.
You can have the slogan Brownie.
sounds like Brownback wants to emulate the emperors of Rome in it’s decline and sponsor a stable of imported gladiators.
