What a difference half a year makes. In December, then-Gov. Kathleen Sebelius said it was “important to continue my service as governor of the great state of Kansas, a job that I love and have been honored to hold.”
Asked Wednesday by Jon Stewart on “The Daily Show” about how things are going in her new job as secretary of Health and Human Services, Sebelius said: “Piece of cake. It’s why I ran for public office. It’s why I joined this administration. This is what it’s all about.”
Stewart went on: “You were the governor of a heartland state. You left in the middle of your term for a higher calling. Why are governors such quitters?” Sebelius jokingly responded: “You know, didn’t want to get bored. Had to find something else to do.”

Listening to Republicans whine about how we need to burn more rocks to power Colorado or else we’ll have blackouts in Kansas must have been boring. Getting a job at HHS helps shield her from excessive Republican stupidity.
Sounds like Sebelius was bored with Kansas. And Kansans were bored with Sebelius.
It was a joke, was it really worthy of the headline? Don’t think so.
Wouldn’t you be bored with fighting the same fights with the republican legislature year after year?
Just look at how many times she had to veto the same thing, guess con persistence, and one track mind, does pay off, though.
Anyone who has an IQ above wool is bored with Kansas.
The ‘old gray mare’ is now in the flock of ‘The One’ tending to his every need and no longer having an opinion of her own. She has become an O’BAMA-bot, an automaton, fully equipped with a tax spending money shovel and 1000 page unread Congressional documents.
She was planning to leave all along. A few years back she sold her home in Kansas. That way she did not have a house to sell when she left Kansas. There are no plans for her to return.
A woman goes gray and is referred to as ‘the old gray mare’. How sexist pig of you.
