Times tough on Kansas millionaires, too

monopoly2The number of millionaires in Kansas declined for the second straight year, the Topeka Capital-Journal reported. Kansas had 43,205 millionaires in 2008, or 3.98 percent of its overall population, according to a national study. That’s a 16 percent drop from 2007 — though laid-off workers in Wichita and elsewhere are unlikely to feel much sympathy. Kansas ranks 30th in the nation in its percentage of millionaires.

Hollyfornia has 662,735 millionaires and yet the state is going bankrupt?

If each had only one million dollars that’s $662,735,000,000.00 – not quite as big as the Porkulus package of $750,000,000,000.

Of course, Princess Pelosi wants to spend one trillion (1,000,000,000,000.00) dollars on patch work health care that won’t work. That figure of one trillion wipes out all of the Hollyfornia millionaires plus all of the millionaires in New York as well.

Perhaps we should hold a fundraiser for the millionaires. They appear to be hurting. How do we expect them to vacation in their villa in France in these hard economic times. Perhaps if enough of us got together and sold our blood plasma then we could raise enough money to help them fuel their private jet?

    Jealous much?

It seems the libtards envy the successful too much. Maybe instead of lusting after what isn’t theirs, they should look to accomplish what the successful have.

Nah, it is easier to steal it right?

No Sol, I’m not jealous of your constant whining. Why do you ask?

Being a millionaire would be nice.
The concept of a millionaire as filthy rich is misleading however.
Is it someone who makes a million dollars a year?
Is it someone whose assets are in excess of a million dollars?
Is it someone whose life savings is in excess of a million dollars and they have that to live on for the rest of their lives?

One of my former customers, a multimillionaire, during the 1980’s market downturn went into a royal blue funk for some several months because she was so impoverished that she might have to give up one of her two annual trips to Europe. Poverty is a state of mind, not a financial condition in most cases, and depends on your assessment of your wealth as opposed to your neighbors. If all of your neighbors have two cans of beans to their names and you have three, you’re the rich b@stard on the block.

    Situ,
I suppose 43,205 millionaires could get us by in a pinch.
