The budget problem can easily be solved. All we need is a tax increase on the purchase of firearms and bullets then have Obama mention that he’ll think about restricting gun ownership. Then all the rednecks will go on a spending spree shoveling millions of sales into the economy.

You’re right about Reagan. St. Ronald did alot of damage in the name of God and Democracy. But then what do you expect from a man who tried to classify ketchup as a fruit?

The ketchup as a fruit proposal was done in Congress in the late 19th and early 20th century.

The problems in California go back to when the much beloved Ronnie Raygun was governor. I lived in Los Angeles at the time.

The fundamental problem that exists there now, however, is the ability of California’s voters to pass unfunded mandates. They can get a measure on the ballot and pass it into law, but it’s up to their legislature to find the money to pay for those programs. They can’t raise the money, but the voter’s will remains unchanged. Methinks the next sound will the the “reality check” bouncing.

What about making people in family court pay for that? and maybe the courts need to look at what cases they try is it really worth it to drag bar owners to court cause their patrons play cards?
