Top 10 things overheard at ‘Fire Letterman’ rally

APTOPIX Letterman PalinDavid Letterman apologized for his joke about Sarah Palin’s daughter, but that didn’t stop him from poking fun at his protesters. His top 10 list Tuesday was on “things overheard at the ‘Fire David Letterman’ rally.” It included:
“Isn’t there always a crowd demanding Letterman be fired?”
“Can we also get CBS to bring back ‘Gunsmoke’?”
“When does Cheney get here with the waterboarding gear?”
“He should apologize for that hairpiece.”

Huge Rally! Less than 40 people with about a dozen supporters holding signs mocking the rally.

Funny how the woman who wanted to charge rape victims for their own rape kits as mayor gets all maverick when the cameras are rolling.

New York Magazine videographer Jonah Green made this video of the protesters. Try to remember they were supposedly protesting Letterman’s comments about an underage girl. It will be difficult to remember what they think is wrong once you see their behavior and hear what they have to say. Of course, no one accused this small group of people of having any sense!

Guess no one told them about this Leno comment either, so they can ignore one and choose another to criticize: “Gov. Palin announced over the weekend that her 17-year-old unmarried daughter is five months pregnant. And you thought John Edwards was in trouble before! Now he has really done it.” — “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno,” 9/2/08

    http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2009/06/video_rabid_letterman_protesto.html

“Should we talk about his son?” one protester asked Green. “I believe his son was born out of wedlock. I believe there’s a term for that.”

“Is someone making jokes about his child?” asked another. “Especially, you know, when he had a daughter out of wedlock himself” (he didn’t; 5-year-old Harry is his only child).

“How dare he?” asked yet a third, the most offensive of all. “When he has a ba stard son, and a sl ut for a wife”

Where are the jokes about the White House having to keep out both Letterman and R. Kelley, so that Sasha Obama will not be punished by one of their babies?

    WOW lookit that turnout!

Ya got a couple of cranky looking adults and some kids.

Somehow? I’m just not seeing kids getting worked up over Sarah Palin.

Hmm, maybe the little boy heard her say she can see Alaska from her house and thinks she has superpowers.

I’m surprized okie unobservant didn’t claim 2.5 million for the turnout like she lied about the teabag parties she went to!

I wonder how many men she’s teabagged with anyway.

Truth not in you is it? I very clearly said I wasn’t able to go to the Tea Parties. But when did facts stop a liberal in their lies. Wish I had been able to go. I did however post the totals of the attendees as reported by the event coordinators. Wait until the next one. Numbers will be even bigger. Just in time for the 2010 elections. Obama is doing his best to help us out. Bless his heart.

Linda you really don’t get what those women were saying do you. They were feminist saying that women should not be treated like this. They are tired of men especially liberal men demeaning them at will.

Of course you wouldn’t know demeaning if it ran over you would you?

I recognize hate when I see and hear it. You, okobserver, are one of the most hateful persons I’ve ever read on any blog.

Those protesters in that film were using the ‘tactics’ they were supposedly protesting. They said their protest was to show it’s wrong to use minors (or females as you suggest) in any sexually explicit way. They said they wanted to point out to Letterman that it isn’t a joking matter, is far from funny, and is instead, distasteful, childish and unacceptable. If they had any integrity, they wouldn’t have used David Letterman’s child and wife in the distasteful, childish and unacceptable ways they were supposedly protesting. What exactly did either David Letterman’s five-year-old son or his wife do that deserved their names even being mentioned? Their behavior and words were equally as wrong as Lettermans.

If you didn’t recognize that, okobserver, you are both the most hateful person I’ve ever read on a blog and one of the most stupid.

Now, carry on, and post all the low-life opinions you hold of me, follow me around and don’t miss an opportunity to show your hate. You’ve been doing it since the day I first posted to this blog. I have no regard for your opinions and there is no reason for you to believe I might feel injured by your hatefulness. Since you agree with the small group of protesters in that film, it is another indication that your opinions of people are as skewed as your ability to treat people with dignity.

There are adults here who would be able to discuss the issues if hate filled stupid people like you allowed this blog to be about ideas, philosophies and a sharing of opinions, instead of a place of seeing who can attack most often and hit lowest and hardest.

Well hateful Linda even Joy Behar got it. She certainly is no conservative. She just knows that women shouldn’t be treated that way regardless of their politics. Sorry you have such a low opinion of women that you have to call me hateful so pointing this out to you. But if you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen. Now that was a sexist comment wasn’t it. Oh well.

This would be funny if your weren’t so deluded. Go back and review the posts and see who posts hate. Look at yesterdays open thread. Words are cheap Linda but they do have meanings.

I will discuss with you on an adult level anytime you wish. Bring it on.

okie – bring it on? Does saying that make you feel superior in some way? Does it give you a shiver up your leg? Does it excite you and perk you up?

Please, old lady, give the rest of us a break.
