A state divided on Obama

Obama 2008 EndorsementThe good will that Kansans had for President Obama at his inauguration, when he had a 62 percent approval rating in the SurveyUSA poll, continues to erode. The latest poll, co-sponsored by KWCH, Channel 12, showed Kansans split 49 to 49 percent on whether they approve or disapprove of the job he’s doing. He polls best in northeast Kansas (52 percent approval) and worst out west (64 percent disapproval). Still, he’s ahead of where he started in the state on Election Day, when he lost to John McCain 41.6 to 56.6 percent.
Meanwhile, new Gov. Mark Parkinson lost some ground in public opinion in a matter of weeks on the job, sliding from 52 percent approval a month ago to 46 percent in mid-June — the same point Kathleen Sebelius was in the poll before joining Obama’s Cabinet.

I have never had a call from a poll; these numbers are from a liberal media and are extremely optimistic; Impeach Obama

    “continues to erode.”

    Of course. Worst President Ever.

“Still, he’s ahead of where he started in the state on Election Day”

Amazing! They polled the exact same people who voted on election day – so they could make a comparison of the actual past voters and their latest poll.

    Idiots.

Man, our media and their “let’s just see how stupid our readers are” approach.

Just look at the same poll at inauguration. He was at 62% approval. So 49% approval now is hardly “ahead of where he started”.

I live in Kansas. I was born and raised in Kansas.

I am the first to say, because I know, that what Kansas thinks is irrelevant because most people in Kansas choose for us to be irrelevant.

Obama’s work will not be done until Republican state Kansas has over 50% unemployment…after all…Kansans want him to fail.

Kansas is just one example of how bho’s numbers are falling and will continue to fall as people realize his extremist liberal agenda does not appeal to a majority of the people in this country.

Of course, the extremist libs on this blogs are wetting their pants in glee over the destruction of this country. But, they are in a small minority.

Most people are not happy with government takeover of private businesses–to a greater extent than Venezuela has done. Most people are not happy with ever increasing unemployment. Most people are not happy with skyrocketing deficits. And he is just getting started.

Watch those numbers plunge over the next 6 months.

Kansas along with the other states whose electoral votes went to McCain don’t add up to enough votes to elect anyone at the national level. If Kansans disapprove of President Obama in higher numbers, it doesn’t change the fact that they still have a total of SIX electoral votes.

    Obama 365 McCain 173

Dem pickups (vs. 2004): CO FL IN IA NV NM NC OH VA

    GOP pickups (vs. 2004): (None)

I’d be much more disconcerted with Obama as president if the vast majority of Ks. supported him.
It’s more reassuring we’ve got the right guy, if alot of kansans don’t like him.

It seems Bluejay wishes to have every aspect if his life to be ruled and controlled by one man.

It is funny that he wants a ‘rule all boss’, what a scab.
