Jay Emler, R-Lindsborg, on the $285 million renovation of the Statehouse _____________ So...a govt project that started out as a $90M remodel, now has come in at 3 times that, with another $38M bond issue pending...well, at least they're consistent, the "visitor's center" in DC came out about 3 times as costly as approved, defense contracts routinely do the same, we gave GM $19B to keep them out of bankruptcy so we could have the honor of giving them another $30B IN bankruptcy, we're spending $23M on new "low income housing" in Haysville with tons of empty homes sitting around the area for sale cheap, we find out not only is SS/Med liabilities unfunded so are fed employee/military pensions/healthcare (weird how that's illegal for private companies to do)....yeah, no chance of them screwing up energy/healthcare at all!!! “You don’t stop when you’re in the fourth and final phase, basically, of fixing your house.” — Sen.
