What we’ll learn over the next years is how the twice-born wingnuts attack Thornburgh deal with his candidacy.
The advocates of illegal abortion have already gone on record as opposing Sam (the Sham) Brownback for his support of Sebelius as Secretary of Health & Human Services.
Just how “principled” will they be in the heat of a Repubic Party primary?
There’s not likely to be many 2010 Democratic primaries, and a lot of people are motivated to re-register in the GOP to help retire Todd Tiahrt.
Ron Thornburgh has won what? Three state-wide races? And he doesn’t wear a barbed wire jock strap like Opus Dei adherents.
Thornburgh is a lot more personally likeable than Brownback. Heck, I even almost voted for the guy. Then again, I voted for Jenkins, what a jerk she turned out to be.

So…a govt project that started out as a $90M remodel, now has come in at 3 times that, with another $38M bond issue pending…well, at least they’re consistent, the “visitor’s center” in DC came out about 3 times as costly as approved, defense contracts routinely do the same, we gave GM $19B to keep them out of bankruptcy so we could have the honor of giving them another $30B IN bankruptcy, we’re spending $23M on new “low income housing” in Haysville with tons of empty homes sitting around the area for sale cheap, we find out not only is SS/Med liabilities unfunded so are fed employee/military pensions/healthcare (weird how that’s illegal for private companies to do)….yeah, no chance of them screwing up energy/healthcare at all!!!
