Shoe thrower gets three years

bushshoe22The Iraqi journalist who threw his shoe at President Bush was sentenced to three years in jail. Muntadhar al-Zeidi was found guilty of aggression against a visiting head of state, a crime that under Iraqi law carries a maximum sentence of 15 years. Asked if he had anything else to say in his defense, al-Zeidi responded: “I am innocent. It was a natural reaction to the crime of occupation.”

Not that it matters, he was gonna die anyway.

During the 1987-88 Anfal campaign against the Kurds in Northern Iraq. As many as 100,000 people were killed. On March 16th 1988 Saddam’s forces dropped mustard gas, nerve agents, and other chemical weapons on Halabja, killing some 5,000 people. It was the first time a government had used nerve agents against its own citizens. This was one of such 40 attacks against Kurdish targets in 1987-88.

Most think that Americans are barely tolerable; they are buffoons, cowboys, war mongers and childish compared to their ancient civilizations.

It really is a good thing we got Saddam as former presidential press secretary Air Fleisher said yesterday.
“After 9-11 we could not let Saddam attack us a second time!”.

No really he said it yesterday, not in 2001 or 2002
or 2003 he said it March 11, 2009! But that’s Ok compare to the Neo Conservative today that stated that the truth is not a matter to base actions on. What is it when you still believe something as true even after it is proven to be not true? Oh yeah delusional! And what is scary is that there are still some in the Government who are actually listening to them!

I watched that Ari Fleischer interview, dog. I guess several are out on the trail trying to make the last administration look better. Hard job! I doubt they’ll convince more than those often referred to as ‘the 28percenters.’

As far as this interview, I wasn’t too impressed with either man — Chris Matthews or Ari Gleischer. Seems rude not to be able to listen when the other person is talking, and both of them were doing too much talking and too little listening (talking at the same time). Here’s a link to the interview:

Yeah Linda Mathews drives me nut when he does that, he ask a question of a guest. Then when they start to answer he breaks in and half the time it is nothing really to do with when he or the guest was talking about.
I wish I remember the Neo-Con name that Mathews had on today if it was not so tragic it would be laughable. A lot of the argument of there was a lot of intelligence that said that Al-Qaeda and Saddam were linked. And just because there was no proof that it was true is not a basis to NOT act!
The truth is not a matter to base actions on.

I have not been keeping up with that but read some about it. Odd it was the American Zionists who is more upset then the Israelis. I guess I will never be chosen for that Position either. Not a big fan of the Saudis but have about the same opinion of the Israelis too. But yes we need to keep our eyes open for the actions of the Neo-Conservatives.
More people need to realize how dangerous they can be. It is hard for even me to believe how these delusional, Paranoid, 12 y.o. bullies were able to gain so much control of the U.S. Government. I still thank God that Wolfowitz was not able to convince President Ford to start a shooting war with the Soviets. We think that Iraq was a blood mess!

Mary I agree that 3 years is harsh and you are right it did no damage and it might be doubtful that Bush even understand what it meant. He and his group even after all these years do not know much of the middle eastern culture. I can imagine it now, when it was explained what the throwing of the shoes meant.
