Tiller hearing like a soap opera

The George Tiller hearing this week in Wichita has been like a soap opera, complete with adultery, lovers’ fights and possible blackmail. You can get blow-by-blow updates on the testimony via Eagle crime reporter Ron Sylvester’s Twitter site.

I wonder if she was put up to the entire thing by Kline.

Grown, adult (supposedly) people with advanced degrees acting like hormonal high schoolers.

I often wonder if we ever get beyond high school. It seems to be the lab of life. What we learn/do in high school is what our life will turn out to be.

I was highly amused by Kline’s testimony under oath that he had no interest in Morrison’s sex life. What a crock! He spent his whole term as AG trying to dig into damn near everybody’s (especially teenagers) sex lives, which probably indicates that he has none of his own, and probably a lot of other things I’d rather not think about.

Kline obviously meant he didn’t care about Morrison’s sex life, per se, but only with how it could be used against him.
I also wondered if it wasn’t a set up when I read she had disagreements with Morrison about his not charging Tiller with more than a misdemeanor, and she was against late term abortions. Sounds like the affair ended about then also.

I wonder what the real relationship between Kline and Carter is? Wasn’t there some male co-worker that resigned from Kline’s office because of all this mess?

And then Operation Rescue people wonder why they cannot get Tiller convicted – it seems like everything Kline touches becomes tainted.

    Phant,
“Kline obviously meant he didn’t care about Morrison’s sex life, per se, but only with how it could be used against him.”

That’s exactly why he’s interested in people’s sex lives. There may be a bit of tittilation too, but mostly he wants to control people, especially people having sex (oh, the sin of it!).

Why is Kline allowed to keep copies of Tiller’s patient’s records?

Probably Kline said he had no interest in Morrison’s sex life because he had no interest in Morrison’s sex life. Is this difficult for people to understand? Kline was interested in enforcing Kansas abortion law. Kansas has laws restricting abortion. To find out if the law was followed patient records have to be examined. Tiller is doing his best to place the focus on everyone but himself. He was charge by a pro-choice attorney general with breaking Kansas abortion law. It would be wonderful if the public could finally have the truth. Tiller’s attorney’s are doing their best to keep that information from the courts and the public.

This woman, Linda Carter, for a time was a high flyer in Topeka and Olathe, wielding power between the battling Attorney Generals and having some impact on the abortion issue in Kansas.

She might have lost her husband over the deal. And Morrison almost lost his wife.

I have a feeling Linda is not doing so well now in Arkansas. Probably few good memories from her high flying days in Kansas.

    Debbie-Poo,
Bull! If Kline was only interested in seeing the law enforced, why did he hand confidential patient records over to Billo? What I fail to understand is how he managed to stay out of jail over that; it should have been contempt of court at the very least!
I realize that the privacy of Dr. Tiller’s patients means less than nothing to you, but it means quite a bit them; they really don’t need to be harassed by that band of outlaw anti’s that Kline has allied himself with. Dr. Tiller is doing his job as a doctor by keeping those records confidential, and someday you may have cause to appreciate that.

Oh come on people all this talk of Kline’s interest in the sex life of teens and no one mentioned the most remember-able opinion of Kline’s. That if a boy performs oral sex on a girl it should be illegal. BUT if a girl performs oral sex on a boy is should not be illegal!.

The privacy of patient records is a NON-ISSUE. All the patient identifying information was redacted prior to Kline receiving the records. Jed you have no proof that Kline handed any records to Bill O’Reilly. It may have come from someone within Tiller’s office for all you know.

The only thing Philllll Kline wanted was to change abortion laws to make abortion illegal. That was his only mission and he wasted all our tax monies on his lost cause. He is a thief — he stole from every Kansan!

Since it’s apparant you know next to nothing about either Butler County nor Afghanistan, I’ll ignore the previous as expressions of the ignorance they represent.

Yes, I’ll admit I’m technologically and computer deficient. I frankly liked the world a lot better pre-computer, pre-cell phone. I am, however (as evidenced here) learning to adapt.

After reviewing “Twitter,” a second question comes to mind: why in God’s name would anyone want to do that? Why does anyone think they are so important that the world must know what they are doing or thinking at any given time?

    I’ll pass, thanks.

    Of course, I don’t have a Facebook page, either. And I don’t feel a bit deprived . . .

Just sleep deprived, right now. Gotta get some shut-eye. Have a good night, Steven.

    Debbie-Poo,
Of course it’s an issue, given that Operation Rescue was there every day
taking pictures of the cars, license plates, and patients when they could,
it wouldn’t be hard for someone who had contacts in the police dept or
the Division of Motor Vehicles to put names and addresses to those records.
So, patient privacy is certainly at risk.
It’s pretty obvious who handed those records to Billo, since they were aired
within a week of Kline getting his grubby paws on them. And, considering he STILL has copies of them, even though he’s no longer any kind of elected official, we can expect to see them violated again. Kline is a one-track idiot with a cause, and no moral compunction at all to using those records to harm women he doesn’t approve of!

pol mom, like it or not there are some of us who believe abortion is wrong and it has nothing to do what we learn in church. you, jed, linda, steven have NO idea what has transpired with kline o’reilly, tiller, morrison etc., so shut up and the the court decide., let the courts decide. and please , if you are capable (?) interject something of substance other than your bias’s.

actually yes, but I don’t believe it was something that the court should have decided and I disagree with the outcome and still believe abortion is wrong. I also believe O.J. is guilty of murder.

The patient identifying information was redacted prior to Kline receiving the records. Kline doesn’t know who the patients were. You don’t know who the patients were. What is all the fuss about? Tiller created the fuss to divert everyone’s attention away from the possibility that he may have broken Kansas abortion law.

Not really true. Kline also obtained hotel records which could then be correlated with the medical records to provide such identification.

Why did Kline need the hotel records?
