Here’s something that makes Hank happy, hate crimes are on the rise by his fellow racists. Judging by the guy they caught killing two Blacks, the face of hate isn’t that appealing.

Kansas is 4th in the nation for black homicides.

What about this list is off? Why is it the ‘white’ states where this is happening?

But. . .But. . .
Do we still even need ‘hate crime’ laws in the new period of post racial enlightenment?

Didn’t you know that there’s no such thing as “hate crimes” committed by blacks? Remember the Carr brothers?
“Isn’t most crime committed on blacks by blacks?”
Yes.
http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/homicide/race.htm
“Of the country’s 14,860 homicide victims in 2005, 7,125 were black, according to the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report. And of the 3,289 cases that year in which a single black was killed by a single assailant, the FBI says, 91% of the killers were black. ”

Acorn stands to gain from the billions that the Dem Congress wants to give away for increased and even more social programs. I don’t like bailouts and the politicians trying to fix anything.
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2009/01/acorn_eligible_for_billions_fr.html
Great post George worthy of notice:
“The House Democrats’ trillion dollar spending bill, approved on January 21 by the Appropriations Committee and headed to the House floor next week for a vote, could open billions of taxpayer dollars to left-wing groups like the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). ACORN has been accused of perpetrating voter registration fraud numerous times in the last several elections; is reportedly under federal investigation; and played a key role in the irresponsible schemes that caused a financial meltdown that has cost American taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars since last fall.
House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) and other Republicans are asking a simple question: what does this have to do with job creation? Are Congressional Democrats really going to borrow money from our children and grandchildren to give handouts to ACORN in the name of economic “stimulus?”
Incredibly, the Democrats’ bill makes groups like ACORN eligible for a $4.19 billion pot of money for “neighborhood stabilization activities.” Funds for this purpose were authorized in the Housing and Economic Recovery Act, signed into law in 2008. However, these funds were limited to state and local governments. Now House Democrats are taking the unprecedented step of making ACORN eligible for these funds”
I expect liberal democrats to fully support this mess. They will exclaim that ACORN registered republicans as well as democrats (choking cough).
Let’s not forget:
ACORN leaders are under investigation charged with fraudulent use of the funds.
ACORN was an OBAMA employer and fully supported Obama in the election.
This is politics as usual: Payment in Kind for their loyalty and support. Dirty politics.
ACORN should be charged under the RICO act. Democrats are taking this opportunity to solidify their power.
“Following the DNC Convention, Saul Alinsky’s son, L.David Alinsky, wrote a letter to the Boston Globe. “Barack Obama’s training in Chicago by the great community organizers is showing his effectiveness,” the son wrote. “I am proud to see that my father’s model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing to affect the Democratic campaign in 2008. It’s a fine tribute to Saul Alinsky as we approach his 100th birthday.”

Hillary supporters are making the accusations.
“What’s happening here is something we have never seen before: centrist Clinton Democrats and Republicans are working together to expose the DNC and Obama campaign’s illegal activities and orchestrated, coordinated fraud. Both parties are working with federal agents to investigate ACORN, which has been funded with upwards of $800,000 in questionable donations from the Obama campaign (in what appears to be the expressed and explicit direction to engineer voter fraud in the general election)”

Sobering for the GOP:</b<
House Democrats win by 10.53%: The final popular vote percentages were 53.08%–42.55%, giving Democrats a 10.53% victory. This is the largest popular vote percentage victory for either party in either a Presidential or Congressional election since 1984 (the next largest victory was Bill Clinton with 8.51% in 1996). It is the first double-digit victory for any party in a national election in 24 years.

But isn’t all you need to qualify as a Christain is to belive that Christ is God and your personal savior? Just because one chooses to break the Commandments, that doesn’t mean you’re not a Christian. BTK can pray for forgiveness and still go to heaven. Right?
Man, I hope he doesn’t pull the planned parenthood funding out of the bill. Babies cause economic collapses and a one-child policy needs to be enacted.

Bipartisanship, as promised:
At least $23.8 billion in corporate tax breaks have been included in the $825 billion economic recovery package in order to win backing from key business groups and their Congressional allies, even though the team that put the legislation together believes the breaks have little value in stimulating the economy and creating jobs.
Top beneficiaries include banks, telecommunication companies, railroads and oil, hotels, casinos, and both commercial and residential real estate firms.
“Everyone knows these provisions are not going to do much, but some members of Congress need to be able to say ‘the bill has a business tax cut.’ So we put them in,” said an Obama transition team architect…

That’s weird. Usually they are spot on.
“Christ is God and your personal savior?”
I’m certainly no expert. But I don’t think you have that correctly. Romans 10 vers 9-10. Doesn’t say Christ is God. Many believe he is a son of God, but your overall take is still correct.
“Bipartisanship, as promised:”
All is a waste. Admit it.
You are quick to point out a piece which supports your belief that republicans are for “big business” – and that this piece of the legislation will do little for the economy (your opinion).
But I’m not hearing you protest the other 800+ billion being spent.
At least I am consistent: It’s all pork. It’s all for show. And it will be rushed through just like the 700 billion Congress/Bush rushed through last fall. We learned nothing.
We will rush through more debt with big brother trying to run business when they cannot even run the government efficiently.
In the interest of our non-Christian friends who have been turned off to Christianity because of the haters on the right wing who call themselves “Christians,” I have decided to start a daily post of right-wingers’ most ignored passages of the Bible.

McCain is even opposing provisions in the bill (rural high speed internet improvement) while he actually featured the same idea in his campaign (while talking to rural voters.) Hypocrite!
Krugman sez on the Opinion section of today’s NY Times:
“As the debate over President Obama’s economic stimulus plan gets under way, one thing is certain: many of the plan’s opponents aren’t arguing in good faith. Conservatives really, really don’t want to see a second New Deal, and they certainly don’t want to see government activism vindicated. So they are reaching for any stick they can find with which to beat proposals for increased government spending.”

Almost every open thread starts out with an attack on the Christian faith. Then, like a good little Kool-aid drinker, your first post every day usually starts out with a personnal attack on someone’s religion.
I’m not whining, merely making an observation. Read this thread and tell me who the bitter losers are.
Have any con congress critters, especially the ones whiiiiiining about family planning funds, bothered to suggest the government stop funding viagra give aways and payments? At home and abroad?
Stop the unwanted pregnancy problem at its source.
Heheheh. Captain has good intentions, but posting the words of jesus, as an antidote to the posts of these good christian wingnuts, is like trying to drain the Pacific by dipping out of the ocean with a teaspoon.
Do the cons here represent the christian faith? If so, no wonder churches are losing membership. Who would want to join a club like that?
“McCain is even opposing provisions in the bill (rural high speed internet improvement) while he actually featured the same idea in his campaign (while talking to rural voters.”
Could be McCain realizes this is supposed to be an E-C-O-N-O-M-I-C Stimulus Bill and to keep the debt down should only have items which truly will, stimulate immediately. Maybe he realizes you can disguise anything including the kitchen sink in this bill, but that it will take generations to pay it off.
No contradiction in not rushing every bell and whistle into this bill.
Gee Hank, looks like you have to get to 9:16 am to even see the word christian. And then it was posted as a statement of fact, not an attack.
Please repost where Captain has quoted DU. I havent seen him do that.

Mary,
Yes, if BTK is truly repentant of his actions, asks for forgiveness, and believes Christ is his savior, he will be forgiven.
Dear cosmos,
Unlike an Algore butt-boy, I have a real job.
I’m willing to have lunch with you and discuss AGW without the benefit of GOOGLE.
Let’s agree on a time and place, or are you the real coward?
Awww, it would so cool to meet Dennis Serial Killer at the Pearly Gates!!
CapnAmerica,
What makes you think the “right” ignores that verse?
There is not any scripture that I ignore. You on the other hand? Well, there is plenty of it that you ignore, dismiss, or simply say isn’t true.
Here’s the republican position on the Unstimulus Bill:
“Indiana Rep. Mike Pence, chairman of the House Republican Conference, says the bill that House Democrats offered isn’t a bipartisan one.
“The President’s call for a compromise has been completely ignored by House Democrats who would use a time of national economic crisis to fund their big government priorities under the guise of stimulating the economy,” Pence said in a statement.
“The Democrat bill won’t stimulate anything but more government and more debt. The slow and wasteful spending in the House Democrat bill is a disservice to millions of Americans who want to see this Congress take immediate action to get this economy moving again.”
Republicans point to appropriations like $50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts, $20 million for sodding the National Mall, $400 million for climate change research and $200 for contraception programs as “longstanding liberal spending priorities,” according to Pence.” CNN
HLP complains about Christian bashing.
His “Christian” view is that evolution is wrong, global warming is wrong, astro-physics (age ot the cosmos) is wrong, geology (age of the earth) is wrong, all military attacks by the US or Israel are good and justified (unless Clinton did it) . . . you see the problem.
so sayeth
The LordNathaniel. We don’t bash Christians, Hank. We just bash the idiots who use their narrow fundamentalist Christianity to justify hatred of the “other,” exploitation of the earth, and their own selfishness.
If that describes you . . . well, you be the judge.
I’m pretty sure, Nathan, when Jesus was calling the peacemakers blessed, he wasn’t talking about a Colt revolver.
Linda,
That is what the Bible says. I didn’t see what was so awful about my post this time. Yet you choose to attack me personally?
Amazing. Who would have thought that the sweet wonderful Linda would resort to such things that she claims daily to not like here?

I predict that racism will become an even bigger problem in our country over the next four years. Obama may be black, but he will have very little effect on the plight of the black people in America.
We’re in for some tough economic times and the government is basically the problem. As Obama uses the government to solve the problem it will get worse.
Conservatives like me will blame the government. The poor will blame the ‘rich’. The union members will blame management. The blacks will blame the whites.
That’s how the politicians have conditioned the sheeple.
Racism isn’t over, we’ve nothing to replace it.
* * * * *
Hank,
The above is not the only time you have posted the above opinion, but I think this was the first time you explained it. Are these predictions yours alone, or are there a group of people who think this. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Welcome to the club. There are many of us who never stopped being Americans.
I love my country regardless if Obama is the President or not.

When you get to actually see the rest of the world, meet the people, it doesn’t matter who our President is, America is a great country.
I am sorry that some of you feel like you can only be Americans or love your country when you have a liberal as President.
http://rawstory.com/news/2008/UN_official_Enough_evidence_to_prosecute_0126.html
UN official: Enough evidence to prosecute Rumsfeld for war crimes
David Edwards and Stephen C. Webster
Published: Monday January 26, 2009
Monday, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Torture Manfred Nowak told CNN’s Rick Sanchez that the US has an “obligation” to investigate whether Bush administration officials ordered torture, adding that he believes that there is already enough evidence to prosecute former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.
“We have clear evidence,” he said. “In our report that we sent to the United Nations, we made it clear that former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld clearly authorized torture methods and he was told at that time by Alberto Mora, the legal council of the Navy, ‘Mr. Secretary, what you are actual ordering here amounts to torture.’ So, there we have the clear evidence that Mr. Rumsfeld knew what he was doing but, nevertheless, he ordered torture.”
Asked during an interview with Germany’s ZDF television on Jan. 20, Nowak said: “I think the evidence is on the table.”
It would be interesting to see what happens to BTK in heaven. Will he get his ass kicked by his victims families for all eternity, and speaking of his victims and most murder victims in general since they don’t have the benefit of asking for forgiveness and repentance what happens to them, hell? A god who hypothetically would let Hilter and the Nazis in, but not the millions of Jews he had murdered. That would let BTK, Ted Bundy, Terry Nichols and every other murderer in but not their victims. That Einstein, Gandhi and the Dali Lama get the pearly gates slammed in their face,( and all people who never got the option to learn about Christianity) That doesn’t sound like a heaven I would want to be in. In fact since no one really knows what happens when you die, its all speculation at best.
“Here’s how most Americans feel since we have a new chance of hope and a better future –”

Dear cosmos,
Unlike an Algore butt-boy, I have a real job.
I’m willing to have lunch with you and discuss AGW without the benefit of GOOGLE.
Let’s agree on a time and place, or are you the real coward?
——————-
Dear Hank,
So you are unable to defend your AGW denials that you have posted here on the WE Blog? You cannot post the arguments that you would use at a “lunch”, on this blog?
If that’s true Hank, thank you in advance for admitting that you are coward who is hiding in denial.
And thank you, for again proving that you are “testy” by attacking Al Gore, instead of the science that he cites.
American_Way.
May we agree to disagree?
I won’t pretend to know how you feel, and you won’t pretend to know how I feel, OK?
bush screwed our country royally! He attacked our Constitution, he sullied our reputation and made more enemies than we had before, he completed the financial ruin Reaganomics began, he used war and killing as foreign policy, he made some Americans very wealthy and left most of us hurting very badly.
I know what it feels like to be American and respected, to be asked to sacrifice for my country vs “go shop!” I’m among many who are ecstatic to be valued and trusted with the responsibilities citizenship requires.
What you think of me isn’t any of my business, because I know who I am. I’m not absolutely sure what I will become but I feel confident more Americans will have increased opportunities now that we’re beyond the years of bush. He left a mess and we’ll have to work hard to get out of it, but we will!

WOW I screwed that up! What I meant to say was that it was mostly Repubicans who fought industry regulaton..which paved the way for corporate greed to run amock and ruin the economy.

So my point is…if you’re going to blame anyone for our country being on the brink of Socialism, then look at the ones who mostly fought regulation. That plus sheer greed got us to this point.
It wasn’t liberals giving home loans to poor people, it was corporations making huge money on high risk, “creative” real estate loans then selling them off, leaving the mortgage companies holding the bag, that caused it to happen.
• Mary_CarusoPosted January 26, 2009 at 9:03 pm | Permalink
I’d rather focus on solutions than wasting time assigning blame. I’d suggest you all do the same.

Excuse me…but I’ve been in real estate for a long time..I KNOW how the crisis happened, and what it has done to our economy.
It wasn’t Democrats trying to provide housing for people who couldn’t afford it… it was smart, greedy people manipulating the system to make a lot of money.

That explains the ignorance.
While still in college and before I became a REAL professional (engineer), I was a REAL Estate professional (sic). I received my Real Estate license after taking a ten day crash course. I now do consulting work for Real Estate people and have to admit they are the most ignorant people in business. That’s why they are a dime a dozen.

So, did you get your engineering degree from a match book cover?? If your exposure to Real Estate was from a 10 day crash course(Was it the Carlton Sheets course??) it is no wonder that you find Real Estate professionals to be ignorant people… So, do tell, where would you even find a 10 day crash course in Real Estate?? Hmmmm????
President Obama met with House Republicans an announced they are still willing to accept good ideas. He does not seem to need their votes to win this vote, but the President continues to reach out and attempts to be inclusive, as promised during the campaign.

Anyone willing to pay the fee can attend a class like that put on by the Wichita Area Association of Realtors.
Of course after that, you have to apprentice with a licensed realtor before you can actually get licensed yourself.
SolDevVB,
If you’re so “strong” on climate science, then support Hank’s (false) claim that ENSO events do NOT affect average global temperatures.
Explain why a large area of warmer (or cooler) SST’s and connected weather changes, for many months, does NOT influence Earth’s temperatures.

Those concerned about the perception of the USA abroad, here’s one:
“Obama’s Victory — A British view
An editorial from the London Daily Mail
Obama’s Victory
A victory for the hysterical Oprah Winfrey, the mad racist preacher Jeremiah Wright, the mainstream media who abandoned any sense of objectivity long ago, Europeans who despise America largely because they depend on her, comics who claim to be dangerous and fearless but would not dare attack genuinely powerful special interest groups. A victory for Obama-worshippers everywhere. A victory for the cult of the cult. A man who has done little with his life but has written about his achievements as if he had found the cure for cancer in between winning a marathon and building a nuclear reactor with his teeth. Victory for style over substance, hyperbole over history, rabble-raising over reality.
A victory for Hollywood, the most dysfunctional community in the world. Victory for Streisand, Spielberg, Soros and Sarandon. Victory for those who prefer welfare to will and interference to independence. For those who settle for group think and herd mentality rather than those who fight for individual initiative and the right to be out of step with meager political fashion.
Victory for a man who is no friend of freedom. He and his people have already stated that media has to be controlled so as to be balanced, without realizing the extraordinary irony within that statement. Like most liberal zealots, the Obama worshippers constantly speak of Fox and Limbaugh, when the vast bulk of television stations and newspapers are drastically liberal and anti-conservative. Senior Democrat Chuck Schumer said that just as pornography should be censored, so should talk radio. In other words, one of the few free and open means of popular expression may well be cornered and beaten by bullie s who even in triumph cannot tolerate any criticism and opposition.
A victory for those who believe the state is better qualified to raise children than the family, for those who prefer teachers’ unions to teaching and for those who are naively convinced that if the West is sufficiently weak towards its enemies, war and terror will dissolve as quickly as the tears on the face of a leftist celebrity.
A victory for social democracy even after most of Europe has come to the painful conclusion that social democracy leads to mediocrity, failure, unemployment, inflation, higher taxes and economic stagnation. A victory for intrusive lawyers, banal sentimentalists, social extremists and urban snobs.
Congratulations America! God help you!”

Well Chas, so you admit that one can get a RE license with a 10 crash course. Doing a little back peddling I see. Most of those crash course participants failed the exam the first time too. I used my RE license for networking my consulting business and only sold houses I owned.
A broker compared to a salesperson is about as different as a master’s versus a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree takes about 72 months compared to 18. They probably didn’t teach you comparative thinking in that match book cover degree you got in theology.
Thank you, GMC and Chas., I appreciate your kind words. It’s funny (or something) that now that this is over, I am much more content, have an even greater appreciation for my family and am much more thankful for all that life has given me, however little that may have seemed to be.
I am looking forward, with great anticipation, to returning to Kansas for good, despite the horrid weather in Wichita. These past months have been a trying time and I miss my family. Back and forth, from Kansas to Florida and back again has not been a pleasant journey.
My duties as the eldest son are almost over and I look forward to being just “papa” (my grandson’s name for me) again.
Dang, I never thought I would say that I miss Kansas.
Hey Clark! Good to see ya!
I’m so sorry for your loss, but glad that you have found some contentment and even more appreciation for your family.
Geez, from the bigotbawks comments, one could almost think there’s some past history there….
Heh Clark. Cant wait for some of your good recipes.
I’ve got a big pot of my special pinto beans going that will be good with some jalapeno cornbread. Wish you were here!
Pleef, seriously, get some help. If you wont do it for yourself, do it for your family.
Steak Marsala
Ingredients
1 bottle Marsala wine
4 thick cut Sirloin steaks
4 tbs butter divided
3-4 cups portabella mushrooms
4 cloves garlic
1-2 med-lg white onion
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Directions
3-4 hours before cooking (or overnight) marinate the steaks in ¼ bottle of the Marsala. 3-4 hours before cooking, roughly chop mushrooms, wash and allow to dry. The mushrooms will be absorbing the bulk of the flavor, so wet mushrooms won’t work.
Preheat oven to 375. In a thick bottomed (oven safe) pan, melt 2 tbs butter over medium high heat. Sear steaks on all sides. Reduce heat. Deglaze pan with ¼ bottle Marsala wine. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cover and place pan in oven until the steaks are desired doneness.
Heat a large pan on medium heat and add 2 tbs butter. Add minced garlic and onions cut into rings. Cook until onions become tender. Add mushrooms and cook an additional 2-3 minutes. Deglaze pan with ½ bottle Marsala. Reduce heat. Continue cooking until most of the Marsala has been reduced.
Plate steaks whole or sliced. Top with sauce, mushrooms and onions.

“Hey Clark! Good to see ya!”
I know this is hard to believe, my old (young)friend, but…. but…. but….. but….. I am in danger of becoming MELLOW in my old age.
I will always stand up for you and yours, but now, I just want a little peace in life. I want to spend even more time with my children and grandchildren and, of course, spend a bunch of time “in the wind.”
We all think that we will live forever, but none of us do.
Life is far to short for hatred, bigotry and judgementalism.
Peace to all of you – even Nate!
Now, I have an electric wok and a few frying pans to scrub – the duties of the only amblatory (sic) son never end.
Too much slimy fat and not enough meat.
———————
The fat is where the bovine hides the good stuff.
Tara, sirloins make better roasts than steaks. I buy a whole sirloin “butt in a bag” and dry roast it, then slice it. The fat just melts away and self bastes the roast. And the gravy is to die for!
Never liked sirloins that much.
Tenderloin would work well also. I have been buying the sirloins from Sam’s club. Very well trimmed and cut about 2.5″ thick. Excelent meat. Not fatty at all.
WSClark, Though I’ve only been on this blof for a few months, I also want to offer my condolences.
Like you, I too lost my father a year ago and by default, I am the eldest son as well. I know what you mean by having “an even greater appreciation for my family and am much more thankful for all that life has given me”.
Good luck and God bless.
Tenderloin..

Drooooooooolllllllliiiinnnnnnggggg!!!
I am going to try to cook a whole hog in the ground this spring…
It will be an interesting experiment that will hopefully turn out delicious!
Not opposed to all fat in meat: I once had some Japanese Wagyu that was nearly pale pink, it was so fatty. And it was delicious! The texture was incredible.
It’s those big gobs I can’t stand. If I accidently get a bite I have to spit it out immediately!
However, Sol’s recipe sounds like it would be super tasty with tenderloin or even a skirt steak.
KFG, I have never had a sirloin roast but that sounds delicious.
blof = blog
ANTI,
That sounds ambitious, but if you can’t wait until the summer for kalua pig, I stumbled upon a recipe that tastes like the real thing:
Cover a big pork shoulder in coarse sea salt. Pour a splash of liquid smoke into a Crock-Pot just to cover the bottom. Stick the pork shoulder in fat side up and cook on low for 15-20 hours. Shred and make into all kinds of tasty things like kalua pork quesadillas. Also tasty with cabbage and rolls.
I think I’m going to have some pig for lunch.
All this talk about recipes and steak is making me hungry. Even your recipe sounds good KFG. lol
Anyone have some good chicken or veal recipes?
I think I’m going to have some pig for lunch.
—————-
They are tasty critters!
Tara, all the sirloin fat is on the outside, so use a dry rub of your choice, start it out at 450 for fifteen minutes, turn the oven down to two hundred WITHOUT opening the door, then roast for 3-4 hours for a ten pound roast. DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR DURING ROASTING TIME!
Then trim the fat off the outside of the roast, (but that’s MY favorite part) skim the fat off the gravy and thicken with cornstarch.
Serve with grated horseradish. Or wasabi!
Chicken Milano
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Chicken-Milano/Detail.aspx
Read the comments for bettering the recipe.
I went to Scotch and Sirloin last Friday and had the Veal Oscar. It was topped with a crab meat, cheese sauce and asparagus. Thinking about makes my mouth water.
WSClark,
I am sure you will never regret any caring or acts of kindness you gave to your Dad. It was your Dad you went to help wasn’t it?
It is hard to lose a parent, even when it is expected and you have my sincere sympathy on that.
You also have my respect for what you did for your Dad and family.
I hope you are very comfortable with it and your return here.
For the chicken Milano, just before plating, whisk in about 2-3 cups of Asiago until it melts.

kfg, if you would take note, and be honest about it, you would see that the ‘misfit’ ALWAYS starts it first.
Maybe I shouldn’t respond, but after awhile the little jerk grates on me.
Amrerican_Way: The London Daily Mail? Good heavens, it’s a tabloid whose reputaion for journalism fell away when it went tabloid in 1971 after being a broadsheet since 1896! Check out Pravda, they have equally “unbiased” views on thing generally, or perhaps the Chinese Peoples’ Daily. Brits rated the disapproval of the US up over 70% of late and are generally very happy about Obama and this is so in just about any place that we call “friendly”. Obama is seen as a damn good thing for America arriving not a moment too soon. Quoting less than stellar souces has a tendency to diminish the point at hand, and some guys never figure that out. Churchill once said that if the devil could help him with Hitler in WW2 he’d no doubt find something nice to say about hell in the House of Commons.
Thanks Sol and KFC for the recipes. I love to cook and try new recipes. My taste buds must be getting weaker as I get older and need more and different stimulation.
Typical con
Whatever they post isnt their fault. The fault always belongs to someone else.
Culture of personal responsibility indeed.
Also from the UK Daily Mail:
…..
He (Obama) is one of the cleverest men ever to have achieved the U.S. presidency, and also the least rooted in any region or strand of American life. This has enabled a host of his people of many races and states – whites, blacks and Latinos, Californians, Coloradans and New Yorkers – to identify with him.
Yet where does he himself feel that he belongs? Nobody, even those closest to him, answers that question with assurance.
His enigmatic personality, his extraordinary capacity to fire popular imagination, may carry the makings of greatness. It will be a near-miracle, and a wonderful thing for us all, if this man indeed proves to match the gravity of the hour in which he assumes power.
The world is today rooting for him, as for no incoming U.S. president in modern times. We need him so badly. So much rests upon his capacity to salvage his country, and ours on its coat-tails.
He cannot hope to fulfil the huge expectations of his presidency, because he is a mortal man. We can only wish him luck and give him the benefit of every doubt for months to come – because there is no one else.

Deep fry the fat for cracklins.
Another method: spread dry rub (your favorite whatever)on pork roast (leave fat on), wrap roast in banana leaves, tie tight, then stick in crock pot, with just enough water to cover the bottom of the pot, and slow cook for 10~15 hours, depending on low heat of pot.
Lightly fry corn tortillas(still very flexible), made with lard, if available, in a couple of tablespoons of olive oil, pat dry, lay on the pork, lettuce, chopped tomatoes, chopped red onion, favorite grated cheese, and favorite salsa. Pork out and watch a good movie!
Exercise the next day:-)

Yup Folks, Obama is spending $$ at TWICE+ the rate of Bush.
Nice Socialist Plan. Instead of cutting tax rates or refunding tax payments to taxpayers, this is a handout program and a government building program. The biggest impact is in year 2, and the plan covers 10 years. Not exactly a short-term immediate recovery program, and certainly not a long-term plan to make America stronger and more independent. It’s the opposite in fact. It makes America weaker and more dependent on Government.
Oh, and since there will be negligible short-term recovery as a result of this longer-term ‘plan’, Another Stimulus Plan will be required within a year, possibly even before year-end 2009, depending on when the Banks are taken over and how much ‘relief’ that brings.

http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/99xx/doc9968/hr1.pdf
I want the $2.4 & $6.4 Billion for Other. Changing my name to: “Other Activities”.
Some spending highlights:
? An estimated $20.0 billion over the next five years to temporarily increase the
maximum benefit under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP,
formerly known as the Food Stamp program);
? $2.8 billion to expand broadband Internet service in rural areas; and
? About $4 billion for programs to develop rural communities and improve
infrastructure.
? $3.0 billion for grants to improve the criminal justice system,
? $3.0 billion for grants to fund science and technology research as well as
$1.0 billion for periodic censuses and programs,
? $2.8 billion for grants to extend broadband Internet services;
? $1.0 billion for programs of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration;
? $1.0 billion for the Community Oriented Policing Services program; and
? $2.4 billion for other activities.
provide $4.5 billion to the Department
of Defense to repair, maintain, and renovate its facilities; for energy-efficiency projects,
including the modernizing of heating/cooling and electrical systems; and for improving
Army barracks. Title IV also would provide $350 million for energy-related research and
development.
? $18.5 billion for energy efficiency and renewable energy programs (including
$6.2 billion to expand existing weatherization activities and $7.9 billion for
energy-related grants to states);
? $8.0 billion to cover the subsidy costs of federal loan guarantees for renewable
energy systems and electric transmission projects;
? $6.5 billion for capital investments by certain federal power marketing
administrations in electric power transmission systems;
? $4.5 billion to modernize the nation’s electricity grid; and
? $6.4 billion for various other activities.
Title VI would appropriate
$8.7 billion to promote energy efficiency and conservation at federal facilities and to
support small businesses. Most of that amount—$7.7 billion—would be appropriated to
the General Services Administration’s Federal Buildings Fund to construct and repair
federal facilities. That amount represents a significant increase relative to current funding
levels, which have averaged about $1.3 billion annually in recent years.
$15 billion, including nearly $8.4 billion for the Clean Water and Drinking Water State
Revolving Funds (SRFs). Under both programs, EPA provides grants or “seed money” to
all 50 states plus Puerto Rico to capitalize state loan funds used by local governments to
build water infrastructure projects.
? $20.4 billion for programs administered by the Department of Health and Human
Services;
? $4.6 billion for employment and training programs administered by the
Department of Labor;
? $20.0 billion to renovate elementary and secondary schools;
? $17.6 billion for Pell grants and other student financial assistance and facilities at
post-secondary institutions including federal student loan programs; and
? $29.1 billon for other education programs aimed particularly at elementary and
secondary education
$6.0 billion in 2009 budget authority for military construction projects of the
Department of Defense
? $30.0 billion for highway construction;
? $13.1 billion for other transportation programs administered by DOT;
? $11.2 billion for housing assistance programs administered by HUD; and
? $5.2 billion for grants to states and cities for activities related to community
development.
Title XIII would create a fiscal
stabilization fund to provide grants-in-aid to states. The fund, to be administered by the
Department of Education, would make $39.5 billion available to states each year
Division B—Other Provisions
Division B of H.R. 1 contains provisions that would increase direct spending for
unemployment insurance, health care, fiscal relief for states through the Medicaid
program, and other programs. Division B also contains numerous tax provisions that
would reduce federal revenues and increase outlays for certain grants and refundable tax
credits. In total, CBO and JCT estimate that enacting the provisions in Division B would
increase direct spending by $64 billion in 2009 and $248 billion over the 2009-2019
period, and would reduce revenues by $76 billion in 2009 and $212 billion over the
2009-2019 period.
Tax Provisions. Title I of Division B would make several changes to tax law that the
Joint Committee on Taxation estimates would lower federal revenues by about $63
billion in fiscal year 2009 and by about $188 billion over the 2009-2019 period. Some of
the changes in tax law would also affect outlays for payments of refundable tax credits.
Those changes would increase outlays by about $80 billion over the 2009-2019 period. In
particular, the legislation would:
? For tax years 2009 and 2010, create a refundable tax credit of up to $500 for a
single taxpayer ($1,000 for joint filers), to be phased out for taxpayers with
income above certain thresholds. It is anticipated that the credit would be partially
reflected in reduced income-tax withholding from paychecks. JCT estimates that
the provisions would reduce revenues by $99 billion and increase outlays by
$45 billion over the 2009-2011 period.
? Modify an existing nonrefundable tax credit for higher education expenses to
increase the maximum credit allowed to $2,500, lengthen the period for which the
credit may be claimed to four years, expand the list of qualifying expenses, and
make up to 40 percent of the credit refundable. JCT estimates that those provisions
would reduce revenues by $10 billion and increase outlays by $3 billion over the
2009-2011 period.
? For tax years 2009 and 2010, increase the earned-income tax credit for taxpayers
with three or more qualifying children to 45 percent of their eligible earned
income, and eliminate the limitation on the amount of earned income used to
calculate the refundable portion of the $1,000 child tax credit. JCT estimates that
those provisions and others related to refundable credits would reduce revenues by
$3 billion over the 2009-2019 period and increase outlays by $22 billion over the
2009-2011 period.
Unemployment Insurance and Other Provisions. Title II of Division B would increase
direct spending for several programs. CBO estimates that those changes would increase
outlays by about $22 billion in 2009, $21 billion in 2010, and small amounts in later
years for a total of about $46 billion over the 2009-2019 period.
Unemployment Benefits. H.R. 1 would extend the date by which an individual must
exhaust his or her regular unemployment benefits in order to qualify for emergency
benefits from March 31, 2009, to December 31, 2009, boosting outlays by an estimated
$12 billion in 2009 and $15 billion in 2010. Currently, Emergency Unemployment
Compensation (EUC) is available to individuals who exhaust their regular unemployment
benefits by March 31, 2009. Such individuals are eligible for an additional 20 weeks of
benefits, and 13 weeks more if they are in a state with “high unemployment” (defined as
a total unemployment rate of 6 percent or higher or an insured unemployment rate of
4 percent or more). Effective January 25, 2009, 29 states had met the “high
unemployment” measure. CBO estimates that, from its enactment in June 2008 through
December 2009, 6.7 million people will collect EUC.
In addition, title II would temporarily raise the weekly benefit for recipients of
unemployment compensation by $25, increasing outlays by an estimated $5 billion in
2009 and $4 billion in 2010. Those benefits would be paid from general funds, rather
than by state trust funds.
The legislation would also provide up to $7.0 billion for incentive payments and
$0.5 billion for administrative costs to states that adopt certain provisions in law to
provide benefits to individuals who may not qualify under existing criteria.

Clinton says Israel has right to defend itself
Tue Jan 27, 2009 4:52pm GMT
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Tuesday that Israel had a right to defend itself and that Palestinian rocket attacks from Gaza on the Jewish state could not go unanswered.
Clinton spoke as a fragile cease-fire ruptured between Israel and Hamas-ruled Gaza on the same day as President Barack Obama’s special envoy George Mitchell arrived in the region to try and shore up the truce.
“We support Israel’s right to self-defence. The (Palestinian) rocket barrages which are getting closer and closer to populated areas (in Israel) cannot go unanswered,” Clinton said in her first news conference at the State Department.
The top U.S. diplomat, whose comments may be seen by some as giving Israel a green light to once again pound Gaza, accused Hamas of “offensive” action against the Israeli Defence Forces on the border.
“It is regrettable that the Hamas leadership apparently believes that it is in their interest to provoke the right of self-defence instead of building a better future for the people of Gaza,” said Clinton.

Clinton: Iran Has ‘Clear Opportunity’ to Cooperate With International Community
In her first remarks to reporters at the State Department, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Iran has “a clear opportunity” to cooperate with the international community.
AP
Tuesday, January 27, 2009
President Barack Obama’s intent to change the direction of U.S. foreign policy gives Iran a “clear opportunity” to engage more productively on its nuclear program and other issues, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Tuesday.
In her first remarks to reporters at the State Department, Clinton said Obama’s first days in office have made it clear that a more open Iranian approach to the international community could benefit Iran. She said this was reflected in statements Obama made in an interview Monday with an Arab TV network.
“There is a clear opportunity for the Iranians, as the president expressed in his interview, to demonstrate some willingness to engage meaningfully with the international community,” she said. “Whether or not that hand becomes less clenched is really up to them.”
She said the administration is undertaking a wide-ranging and comprehensive survey of U.S. policy options toward Iran.
“There is just a lot that we are considering that I’m not prepared to discuss,” she added.
Clinton’s comments came one day after U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice said the Obama administration will engage in “direct diplomacy” with Iran. Not since before the 1979 Iranian revolution are U.S. officials believed to have conducted wide-ranging direct diplomacy with Iranian officials.

They have been charged.
“The defendants, who were paid employees and supervisors of ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, concocted the scheme as an easy way to get paid, not as an attempt to influence the outcome of elections, King County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg said.
“This was an act of vandalism upon the voter rolls of King County,” Satterberg said.
In addition to filing criminal charges, Satterberg said state and local officials had signed a five-year agreement with ACORN that requires the organization to beef up its training and procedures for detecting and reporting fraud.
ACORN agreed to pay King County $25,000 for its investigative costs and acknowledged that the national organization could be subject to criminal prosecution if fraud occurs again.

But in tone, his comments were a stark departure from those of former president George W. Bush, who often described the Middle East conflict in terms that drew criticism from Palestinians.
By contrast, Obama went out of his way to say that if America is “ready to initiate a new partnership [with the Muslim world] based on mutual respect and mutual interest, then I think that we can make significant progress.”
The president declined to reveal where he plans to give his first major speech in a foreign country. In the past he had said he would speak in a Muslim capital sometime within the first 100 days of his administration.
And he reiterated a point from his inaugural address: He plans to reach out to Muslims around the world who are willing to “unclench your fist” but will go after terrorists who continue to be bent on destruction.
“Now, my job is to communicate the fact that the United States has a stake in the well-being of the Muslim world, that the language we use has to be a language of respect. I have Muslim members of my family. I have lived in Muslim countries,” Obama said in the interview.
David instead of harping on all of the reps that have done something wrong in their private life how about talking about what the libs are doing in their professional lifes.
We need them to concentrate on the economy. Tax breaks for the businesses that are are biggest job creators. Tax breaks for those families that need it most, our family bread winners. A tax holiday for those who really pay taxes. Something that will actually accomplish something.
Stop telling us how warm and fuzzy Obama makes the libs feel as linda does all day everyday. Come up with something Obama can and has done to address the problems. I don’t call having your first news conference with Muslim leaders as fostering good will with the world that has been under attack just as we have.

And here’s why Hank believes that climate scientists worldwide are wrong about ENSO affecting global temperatures:
* Hank thinks that I “ain’t smart enough. . .”

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has started a federal political action committee — called Sarahpac — that will allow her to raise money for and donate cash to candidates for office over the coming years, a move that should be seen as a precursor to a run for president in 2012.
The PAC has a website and a post office box in Arlington, Virginia but has not yet formally filed its incorporation papers with the Federal Election Commission. According to an official with Sarahpac, papers were filed last night around 5 pm with the FEC and the PAC should be official by later today.

You didn’t question your coaches decisions then. You didn’t ask him to pull the starters when it was a mere 58-0 or 88-0 game. No, you cheered right until the end and thanked the Lord for giving you such a clear victory.
It wasn’t until the mediaslamistofascists condemned you and the defeatocrats started sending you emails that you changed your tune. Then, all of a sudden, you were apologetic about your victory.
Rush Limbaugh wouldn’t have apologized. Sarah Palin wouldn’t have apologized. And Lord knows, your own senators, John Cornyn and Kay Bailey-Hutchison, wouldn’t have apologized. They’d have framed it as a great victory over the forces of dyslexia and painted the opposing school as a grave and vital threat to everything we hold dear. Just like they and their predecessors did when we defeated the Cuban construction worker menace in Grenada and the seemingly unstoppable superpowers of Panama and Iraq.
And they’d have found a way to associate the Dallas Academy with the most evil and vile threat of all, condoms. Just like the Apostle Paul did in his epistle about the Trojans.
So now you’ve learned your lesson. Victory doesn’t come from simply crushing a weak opponent on the field of battle. You need to build them up first with a good PR campaign. You need to turn them into the worst thing since Satan. Only then, will your win become a victory.
Heterosexually yours,

Pretty much a waste of time, Capn.
Rush has a waiting list for advertisers. He can be rather picky about who gets to advertise.
Your time might be better spent in annoying the local firms that buy time in his time slot.

JJ seems to think any dialog with any Muslim nation is bad. I think just the opposite:
By communicating with, instead of threatening, countries, we are opening the door to cooperation. Diplomacy works better at ironing out differences than cruise missiles. Should diplomacy fail, then the military might be in order. If one looks at Pakistan, the fact they have nukes, and the fact the Taliban operates on its Afghanistan borders, one can only come to the conclusion diplomacy must be the first order.
The same with Iran. The Bush policy did little, if anything, to dissuade Iran’s nuclear ambitions. They pretty much threw diplomacy out the window. By opening, and using, diplomatic channels, there exists at least a chance we can stop them from attempting to nuke Israel. Without any diplomacy, as the Bush doctrine embraced, attacking them would be the only option. Should that happen, hello Armageddon.
Opening dialog with the Palestinians could pave the way for the elimination of Hamas by virtue of voting them out of power. It could also open dialog into creating a Palestine nation, and do so in a peaceful manner. Not doing so, means more Hamas rockets launched at Israel, and the death of many more civilians. A bad thing.
The war against terrorism is not going to be won by killing terrorists; it will be done by education countries supporting terrorism that it’s very existence is in jeopardy by the very terrorists it supports. Dialog, education, and, of course, money, is what will be the deciding factors in the war on terrorism. Hopefully, more blood will never have to spilled, but I’m afraid that’s a bit of a pipe dream.
Thanks for the info, Cap’n. I’ve sent the email to those with email addresses and will make it to the websites of each of the others soon. Additionally, I’ll pass along the list to friends and family who don’t ‘read’ here.
He said the money was previously limited to state and local governments, but that Democrats now want part of it to be available to non-profit entities. That means groups like ACORN would be eligible for a portion of the funds.
First, I want to thank Hank and Boxlock, and several others for their kind expressions of condolences. I appreciate the thoughts greatly.
Second, I want to tell a little story……..
After mother died several years ago, my father went out every Friday night to a family resturant with a friend and his wife from church. This friend was as conservative as I am liberal. This past Friday, my daughter and I “substituted” for my father and made the same pilgrimage for fish and fries as did my father. The owner of the resturant greeted me and expressed condolences. I sat with my father’s arch conservative friend and told funny and/or touching stories of my father’s life, his “accidental” hole-in-one and times with my mother.
We had a great time – laughed, cried, laughed some more – it was more than enjoyable – and my daughter and I were deeply grateful for the experience.
Even at my advanced age, I have learned. We are all mortal souls on this planet, and despite our differences, we can break bread and share the experiences of a lifetime.
(Best Brando Godfather voice.)
“I will not be the first the break the peace…..”
I will not further engage in personal attacks, provoked by political differences. I have been guilty in the past of responding in kind with a sharp response. It will not happen again.
Be kind to one another – life is too short and we are all Americans.
Thank you all again for the kind words and expressions of condolences.
May God grant you peace in your lifetime.
That would be TPS reports. And you need to put them in the correct folder.
So monkey you think that we help kids by telling them in life there won’t be defeats or humiliations? I know from my life experience there are sometimes life deals you a bad hand and you learn from it.
Would they have been less humiliated if the victors had started missing baskets intentionally. Should the ref have called the game?
What is your solution of wise one?
WSClark,
Excellent post!
Take Care,
ANTI
Appreciated the story very much, WSC! It was well said, with words we should all heed. Take care, friend. And remember you have friends you care! It’s so important while we make our way through this world.
WSClark,
Hey good luck on the bike! Watch out for June Bugs, those SOB’s will welt the he11 out of a guy!
WS I appreciate what you are saying. Hang onto the good times and take them out often. I still pick up the phone to call my mom to tell her something and then remember I can’t.
My sisters and I had some good times and tearful times when settling her estate, small though it was. The stories we did tell. You are so right about political differences. My sister and I are evenly divided and we have never had a political argument.
Hang in there. My prayers are with you.

Hmmm, I always think of people like Rush and KKKarl Rove and Dick Cheney as being, you know, . . . babe magnets!

You blame JR for your lies, and now it’s someone else’s fault for something you’ve posted.
I dont believe I’ve ever used “they started it” as any kind of excuse.
And you?
kfg, read boxcarbb’s 9:44 pm post in yesterdays open thread. Then read what he wrote after being called out for it. You really can’t make this s hit up.
Hee hee hee heeeeeeee…..
So… it’s the “dimlibs” fault that he posts crap that isnt true?
Color me surprised. HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH!
You are right Walker, you just cant make this stuff up!
I’ve noticed that blaming someone else is their stock in trade.
I’m almost sorry I dont believe in judgment day just because it would be so funny to see these holier than thou types get theirs.
Fun Facts:
In 2008 2.3 million families faced foreclosure proceedings, the highest number since the Great Depression. Though the cost to individual families is hard to measure, the cost to our economy is staggering: using the Joint Economic Committee estimate of $78,000 per foreclosure, the cost to the US economy was at least $156 billion in 2008.
If we do not take any action, Credit Suisse predicts that there will be between 8 and 9 million foreclosures in the next four years, at a potential cost to the economy of $702 billion. Simply put, addressing the foreclosure crisis must be at the heart of any economic recovery plan.

WSClark,
My dad and I used to argue politics until we were ready to literally beat the crap out of one another. Then we went out for dinner and always had a good time. Burying him was like burying all the good times we had, very sad. Thank God for memories.
I cant remember who posted this here first, but I copied and saved it because I intend to use it in one of my columns.
But it sure applies here.

An interesting post regarding the now killed state waiting time waiver provision…
“But the ideology-plagued Republicans, and their media enablers, couldn’t seem to figure out why unemployed Americans without health insurance would possibly want, or need, to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. They seemed mystified that a surprise addition of a new family member could batter a no-income family financially, or when multiplied exponentially, a state, and work against everything a stimulus package is supposed to stimulate. Rep. John Boehner wondered aloud, “How can you spend hundreds of millions of dollars on contraceptives? How does that stimulate the economy?”‘

I have notice a few goat ‘ranchers’ on the out skirts of Wichita….
Is goat any good?
I am sure I have eaten it unknowingly in G.C.
The goat post was directed at anyone who has eaten the beast.

OK, I agree the coach shouldn’t apologize because his girls did a WAAY better job than the other team. The Christian schools board still fired the coach to me that makes the leadership of the school douchebags.
Most mexican meat markets sell goat, never tried it they also sell banana leaves
I would assume goat would taste like lamb…
Thanks Tom, I am VERY familiar with Mexican markets.
Just haven’t tried the goat.
All of these “cultured people”, and no goat eaters?
I’ll be hog swangled!
All you exceptional people who talk about food, exchange recipes, make things in your kitchens that you describe here and drive me crazy — IF we were stranded on a desert island that just happened to be stocked with every ingredient you would need to make everything you make and I promised to be the best fetcher of whatever you needed, the best cleaner upper you’ve ever seen, could I eat with you? I am not talented, but are there other duties that I could handle and ingratiate myself into your good graces with? Please.
“OK, I agree the coach shouldn’t apologize because his girls did a WAAY better job than the other team.”
——-
Did the girls do a WAAY better job or did they humiliate another group of girls? Was there a point that their performance became the later?
Was every substitute played? Even the one who never gets to play? Did anyone think about forgetting the game to the point of using the time on the clock for actually coaching the opponent? Instead of standing in the best possible position for the rebound, move over and help the girl make the freethrow. Stop and offer a hint of what would be more effective in this situation, or that scenario… Seems like there could have been several charitable acts along the way and the lessons learned would have been just as (if not more) valuable.
Linda,
Can you clean a fish, quail, or deer?

My wife can clean the fish and the quail, not the deer.
But I live by the, “you kill it, you clean it” philosophy…So I clean most of the time.

No. More like Bambi’s mom or dad.

Now that I’ve given it more thought, I think I would be like your wife. I have cleaned fish and quail and pheasant and prairie chickens and duck.
mxyzptlk,
Although I hope you’re wrong, some of us have looked at the value of the stock and wondered. We’re working on another place. There are some people here who aren’t going to lose contact.

Well, she “gets me”, that is why I love her. She is far sweeter than me…
I used to target practice and shoot clay pigeons — it was what was done. I never liked even that and was glad when that chapter of my life was over. I always liked the dogs that accompanied the hunters and was always impressed with those dogs skills! I think guns smell badly and make my hands dirty. Prissy, aren’t I?
if a team is so bad that they cant score one single basket then theirs an argument that maybe they shouldn’t be playing basketball at all. this school hasn’t won a game in years its not like their not playing well was a secret. whats the winning team supposed do not play their best? would doing that really make the other team better? do any of us ever feel better when we win at something knowing that we only did so because someone let us?

Watching the dogs work is the BEST part of it!
Well, take it easy! I have work to do.
Tom, you make good points. The losing team was disabled girls, right? Didn’t I read that someplace? They should be playing in a league of girls who are more close to their level of competition. Maybe this is the only school for disabled that fields a girls basketball team.
I don’t know enough about the whole thing to have commented. I’m sorry I stuck my nose where it didn’t belong. I try to well informed before forming an opinion, and I wasn’t this time. Sorry!
Good night Anti!
JimJohnson gets the gold star. Only poster to report and discuss the biggest socialist spending bill in the United States. This bill with it’s annual new and expanded entitlement programs will permanently change the social fabric of America. In one swoop THE ONE OBAMA has changed America into a permanent entitlement program from which we will never recover.
http://blogs.kansas.com/weblog/2009/01/open-thread-127-3/#comment-510465
There is no doubt, Obama is a liar. This bill has very very little to do with a quick stimulus to the economy. This is pure social handouts.
God save America.
The rise of Barack Hitler, moving swiftly to pay back his friends
Republican lawmakers are raising concerns that ACORN, the low-income advocacy group under investigation for voter registration fraud, could be eligible for billions in aid from the economic stimulus proposal working its way through the House.
House Republican Leader John Boehner issued a statement over the weekend noting that the stimulus bill wending its way through Congress provides $4.19 billion for “neighborhood stabilization activities.”
He said the money was previously limited to state and local governments, but that Democrats now want part of it to be available to non-profit entities. That means groups like ACORN would be eligible for a portion of the funds.
Sen. David Vitter, R-La., told FOX News Tuesday that the money could be seen as “payoff” for groups’ political activities in the last election. ACORN generally supports Democratic candidates and actively backed President Obama last year.
God save America.
The Stimulus Package covers items normally seen in a dozen different appropriation bills during the course of the legislative year. Here, Adolf Obama has grabbed portions of the democrats favorites, and wrapped them up and disguised them as a stimulus package
Heil Obama and the new Democratic party!
Heil Hitler and the new Nazi party!
God save America.
Without discussion, without deliberation, without public fanfare, the US House is set to vote overnight on the De-fuehrer Obama’s direction.
good-bye United States of America
and truly
hello United Socialist States of America
The supposed “stimulus” bill permanently changes the landscape of social distribution of wealth in America. It is NOT a temporary “fix”. It is an ugly multi-year new entitlement program, which once enacted will join the ranks of permanent entitlement programs which never ever end.

Hey guys,
I am new to the forum and I have been browsing around the site for a little while and thought I
would contribute to the forum myself.
I came across an article that stated how some of the best handicappers in the world come up with their picks.
Supposedly they use all of these systems called “Syndicate Betting Systems”, and you can actually
purchase them yourself at:
www.SyndicateBettingSystems.com
As anyone heard about this or does anyone have the systems?
Supposedly the best handicappers like Doc, Larry Ness, Taw Jackson, Stan Sharp, and Sports Contrarian
are using these systems to develop their plays.
If anyone has these systems can you please let me know if it’s worth it?
I want to buy them right now but I would like some feedback before I purchase.
Thanks
