Clean coal is leaving a lasting impression in the rivers where clean coal sludge was introduced.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/12/29/tennessee.sludge/index.html
The Environmental Protection Agency has found high levels of arsenic and heavy metals in two rivers in central Tennessee that are near the site of a spill that unleashed more than a billion gallons of coal waste.
The agency said it found “several heavy metals” in the water in levels that are slightly above safe drinking-water standards but “below concentrations” known to be harmful to humans.
“The one exception may be arsenic,” the agency said in a letter to an affected community. “One sample of river water out of many taken indicated concentrations that are very high and further investigations are in progress.”
However, arsenic was not detected in a water intake facility near Kingston, Tennessee, where the spill happened, said EPA spokeswoman Laura Niles.
The metals were found in the Emory and Clinch rivers, near the site of a major spill last week that unleashed enough sludge to fill 1,660 Olympic-size swimming pools.
Well, based on the above EPA report, I will order a cold glass of “clean coal sludge” next time I’m in a Delano bar in west Wichita.
It says spill. So does that mean it’s not a constant phenomenon? Or only when waste is spilled (either purposefully or not)?
Besides, I dig heavy metal.
Anger Management
When you occasionally have a really bad day, and you just need to take it out on someone, don’t take it out on someone randomly; take it out on someone who deserves it
I was sitting at my desk when I remembered a phone call I’d forgotten to make. I found the number and dialed it. A man answered, saying “Hello”. I politely said, “This is Chris. Could I please speak with Robyn?” Suddenly a manic voice yelled out in my ear “Get the right fucking number!” Then the phone was slammed down on me.
I couldn’t believe that anyone could be so rude. When I tracked down Robyn’s correct number to call her, I found that I had accidentally transposed the last two digits. After hanging up with her, I decided to call the ‘wrong’ number again. When the same guy answered the phone, I yelled ‘You’re an asshole!’ and hung up.
I wrote his number down with the word ‘asshole’ next to it, and put it in my desk drawer.
Every couple of weeks, when I was having a really bad day, I’d call him up and yell, ‘You’re an asshole!’
It always cheered me up.
When Caller ID was introduced, I thought my therapeutic asshole calling would have to stop. So, I called his number and said, ‘Hi, this is John Smith from the telephone company. I’m calling to see if you’re familiar with our Caller ID Program?’ He yelled ‘NO!’ and slammed down the phone. I quickly called him back and said, ‘That’s because you’re an asshole!’ and hung up.
One day I was at the store, getting ready to pull into a parking spot. Some guy in a black BMW cut me off and pulled into the spot I had patiently waited for. I hit the horn and yelled that I’d been waiting for that spot, but the idiot ignored me. I noticed a ‘For Sale’ sign in his back window, so I wrote down his number.
A couple of days later, right after calling the first asshole (I had his number on speed dial), I thought that I’d better call the BMW asshole, too. I said, ‘Is this the man with the black BMW for sale?’ He said, ‘Yes, it is.’ I asked, ‘Can you tell me where I can see it?’ He said, ‘Yes, I live at 34 Oaktree Blvd., in Fairfax and the car’s parked right out in front.’ I asked, ‘What’s your name?’ He said, ‘My name is Don Hansen. I asked, ‘When’s a good time to catch you, Don?’ He said, ‘I’m home every evening after five. I said, ‘Listen, Don, can I tell you something?’ He said, ‘Yes?’ I said, ‘Don, you’re an asshole!’ Then I hung up, and added his number to my speed dial, too.
Now, when I had a problem, I had two assholes to call. Then I came up with an idea. I called Asshole 1.
He said, ‘Hello.’ I said, ‘You’re an asshole!’ (But I didn’t hang up.) He asked, ‘Are you still there?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ He screamed, ‘Stop calling me!’ I said, ‘Make me.’ He asked, ‘Who are you?’ I said, ‘My name is Don Hansen.’ He said, ‘Yeah? Where do you live?’ I said, ‘Asshole, I live at 34 Oaktree Blvd, in Fairfax, I have a black Beamer parked in front.
He said, ‘I’m coming over right now, Don. And you had better start saying your prayers. I said, ‘Yeah, like I’m really scared, asshole,’ and hung up.
Then I called Asshole No. 2. He said, ‘Hello?’ I said, ‘Hello, asshole. He yelled, ‘If I ever find out who you are…’ I said, ‘You’ll what?’ He exclaimed, ‘I’ll kick your ass,’ I answered, ‘Well, asshole, here’s your chance.
I’m coming over right now.
Then I hung up and immediately called the police, saying that I lived at 34 Oaktree Blvd, in Fairfax, and that my gay lover was on his way over to kill me. Then I called Channel 9 News about the gang war going down in Oaktree Blvd….34 Oaktree Blvd, in Fairfax.
I quickly got into my car and headed over to Fairfax I got there just in time to watch two assholes beating the crap out of each other in front of six cop cars, an overhead news helicopter and a TV news crew.
NOW I feel much better.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with.

This has been in the news for some time; one billion gallons spilled when a “lagoon” failed. What news sources did you say you read?
Where’s Hank with coulter’s latest column? I need a good laugh this morning:-)
I always keep a supply of drugs handy in case I see a snake-
-which I also keep handy.
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/01/01/aides-democrats-have-plan-if-burris-shows-up/
Dems to physically block access to Senate floor if Burris shows up. Race riot on the Senate floor.
ROFLMQAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HAHAHAHA. HAHAHAHAHAHA. HEE HEE HEE HEEEEEEE!
I see values boy is cutting down his writing for the WE. He’s only going to get his bigotry and bullshit published once a month.
And I am HOWLING because the reasons he gives for this sudden cutback? The classic “spend more time with his family”.
He’s so goddam unaware of the rest of the world he doesnt realize that has become the cliche expression for “I got canned”.
In fact, he is so worried that folks actually BELIEVE his weak explanation for the seventy five percent less Brent each month that he commented the same in his own comments section.
Woof. Ya sure. You betchya we believe you are voluntarily leaving the WE pulpit because you want to “spend more time with your family”.
Whatever will the kansas taliban do without their weekly dose of godly bigotry?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAHAHHAAHA
loser
Hee hee heeeeee…..
Now THAT news from values boy is a good morning laugh!
Well, I see kfg hasn’t mellowed over the holiday. Happy schreeching, caterwauling new year.
“I see values boy is cutting down his writing for the WE.”
I hadn’t heard. That IS good news.
I’ve met him. He is just as colorless and bland in person as his writing.
Maybe outlander needs the waaaaaaambulance? His hero values boy wont be published every week, so he needs to find someone else to tell him what to think? Or perhaps to think for himself?
Yeah. That throws the kansas taliban into waaaaaaa mode immediately.
Good riddance to values boy. Maybe he can find some work writing for the purpose driven bigot.
I’m still laughing about the “spend more time with his family” excuse. It’s a standard in the republican playbook when they get canned. He’s such a greaaat writer he couldnt even come up with an original whine for losing his bully pulpit?
“There is no clear evidence that global warming is an imminent danger to the world, says Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
Even so, it would be good for governments to go further with proposed cuts in greenhouse-gas emissions to deal with dire predictions made in a 2007 panel report, he told the Associated Press in an interview on Tuesday.”

Of course we still need to deny third world countries efficient energy sources to fight starvation and disease so that Algore, GE, and the carbon traders can make billions in tax free profits.
Heheheeh. Values boy says he’s been doing some freelance writing so I googled him. Seems like spirit one sure likes to publish him. Go figure.
Maybe his new employer doesnt like the lighting rod effect he has? Wonder where he went when he left the WE? From one of his articles.
“Brent Castillo is Art & Communications Director for the Health Facilities Group, a medical planning and architecture company in Wichita, Kansas.”
I didn’t expect you to refute your own writing kfg. But thanks for the honesty.
It looks to me like Brent has a responsible job outside of journalism to handle, along with being there for his family. A full plate. He obviously doesn’t need the writing gig and is doing it on his own terms.
I bet you, one of his most faithful readers, will be on pins and needles waiting for the next monthly column.

Values boy, along with phred phelps, and terry and joe, do a great job of fundraising and recruiting for me and mine. We laugh all the time about how everytime they put on a show, the contributions and inquiries come rolling in. Not so much with values boy, but definately for terry, joe and especially fred.
Gee, NOW who will serve the function of showing, in living color, the true face of wingnuttia?
Maybe values boy can “spend more time with his family” while writing more of those wacky signs for spirit one.
Maybe liberals need to make another New Years resolution, or two:
Bleeding Heart Tightwads
“This holiday season is a time to examine who’s been naughty and who’s been nice, but I’m unhappy with my findings. The problem is this: We liberals are personally stingy.
Liberals show tremendous compassion in pushing for generous government spending to help the neediest people at home and abroad. Yet when it comes to individual contributions to charitable causes, liberals are cheapskates.
Arthur Brooks, the author of a book on donors to charity, “Who Really Cares,” cites data that households headed by conservatives give 30 percent more to charity than households headed by liberals. A study by Google found an even greater disproportion: average annual contributions reported by conservatives were almost double those of liberals.
Other research has reached similar conclusions. The “generosity index” from the Catalogue for Philanthropy typically finds that red states are the most likely to give to nonprofits, while Northeastern states are least likely to do so.
The upshot is that Democrats, who speak passionately about the hungry and homeless, personally fork over less money to charity than Republicans — the ones who try to cut health insurance for children.
“When I started doing research on charity,” Mr. Brooks wrote, “I expected to find that political liberals — who, I believed, genuinely cared more about others than conservatives did — would turn out to be the most privately charitable people. So when my early findings led me to the opposite conclusion, I assumed I had made some sort of technical error. I re-ran analyses. I got new data. Nothing worked. In the end, I had no option but to change my views.”
Something similar is true internationally. European countries seem to show more compassion than America in providing safety nets for the poor, and they give far more humanitarian foreign aid per capita than the United States does. But as individuals, Europeans are far less charitable than Americans.
Americans give sums to charity equivalent to 1.67 percent of G.N.P., according to a terrific new book, “Philanthrocapitalism,” by Matthew Bishop and Michael Green. The British are second, with 0.73 percent, while the stingiest people on the list are the French, at 0.14 percent.
(Looking away from politics, there’s evidence that one of the most generous groups in America is gays. Researchers believe that is because they are less likely to have rapacious heirs pushing to keep wealth in the family.)
When liberals see the data on giving, they tend to protest that conservatives look good only because they shower dollars on churches — that a fair amount of that money isn’t helping the poor, but simply constructing lavish spires.
It’s true that religion is the essential reason conservatives give more, and religious liberals are as generous as religious conservatives. Among the stingiest of the stingy are secular conservatives.
According to Google’s figures, if donations to all religious organizations are excluded, liberals give slightly more to charity than conservatives do. But Mr. Brooks says that if measuring by the percentage of income given, conservatives are more generous than liberals even to secular causes.
In any case, if conservative donations often end up building extravagant churches, liberal donations frequently sustain art museums, symphonies, schools and universities that cater to the well-off. (It’s great to support the arts and education, but they’re not the same as charity for the needy. And some research suggests that donations to education actually increase inequality because they go mostly to elite institutions attended by the wealthy.)
Conservatives also appear to be more generous than liberals in nonfinancial ways. People in red states are considerably more likely to volunteer for good causes, and conservatives give blood more often. If liberals and moderates gave blood as often as conservatives, Mr. Brooks said, the American blood supply would increase by 45 percent.”

Gore’s climate alarmist butt buddy pushing political ties? Color me shocked.
Chicago
Chicago…. Who Runs it?
Senators: Barack Obama & Dick Durbin
Representative: Jesse Jackson, Jr.
Illinois Governor: Rod Blagojevich (arrested)
Illinois House leader: Mike Madigan
Illinois Attorney General: Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike)
Chicago Mayor: Richard M. Daley (son of Mayor Richard J. Daley)
The leadership in Illinois?….ALL Democrats.
Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago.
Body count in the last six months: 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago
221 killed in Iraq
State pension fund – $44 Billion in debt, worst in the country.
Cook County (Chicago) sales tax – 10.25% highest in country. (Look it up).
Chicago school system – rated one of the worst in the country.
Of course, they’re all blaming each other.
They can’t blame Republicans because there aren’t any.
This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois.
And he’s going to ‘”fix” Washington politics for us?
Good luck and may God help us all.
“Clean coal is leaving a lasting impression”
That dirty rotten nasty coal! Why Kansas should immediately shut down ALL coal fired energy plants. Do it now!
Watch most of the state freeze their asses off as coal is our primary energy source.
Maybe some of the green people should just form a human chain around each plant. Sing Kum Ba Ya, Give Peace a Chance!
Overnight, Kansas could drop our carbon score.
Kansas has a per capita Carbon Score of 12, with the 32nd highest resident population. Each Kansas resident produces approximately 30 Tons of Carbon Dioxide each year. Kansas has a total Carbon output state rank of #26, Kansas is the #26th highest Carbon Dioxide polluting state in the nation.
Many believed this day would never come, but in a few short days, an African American man will move from his private residence into a much larger and infinitely more expensive one owned not by him but by the taxpayers. A vast lawn, a perimeter fence and many well trained security specialists will insulate him from the rest of us but the mere fact that this man will be residing in this house should make us all stop and count or blessings – because it proves that we live in a nation where anything is possible.
Today, I thank the Lord above that I am an American and that I live in a nation where wrongs are righted, where justice matters and where truly anything is possible.
Who is this man, you ask?
O.J. Simpson….who’d ya think I was talking about.
“Body count in the last six months: 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago/ 221 killed in Iraq”
They didn’t call him Big Bad LeRoy Brown for nothing. Maybe Chicago needs a green zone?
I guess the libs were actually correct about one thing: Obama does have experience. Not where it counts, but experience nevertheless.
Boxlocks,
You couldn’t have meant Barrack Obama.

Why Michelle? Why the fuck are we writing to the WIFE of a soon to be president? Since Hillary?
Since democrats have to have their wives run the office too? Do we need to pay the wife a salary?
Damn if I could find Michelle’s name on the ballot.
BTW, NASA, has learned just like colleges and universities across the nation – that they need MORE MONEY and the way to get FREE MONEY is to appeal to politicians.
The green people discount any scientist who is dares speak out against GW – because they are employed many times by the energy industry.
Why should scientists EMPLOYED BY NASA be any different?
“by attacking the scientists,”
Cosmos would you care to be honest today? Admit that you have posted on more than ONE occassion about scientists working for energy consortiums/industry…
I guess that’s a-o.k..

Yeah because it takes so much time away from family to sit at your home computer and type up a 3 paragraph sermon.
You don’t really think he has an office at the Eagle for ONE day a week now do you?
New scientific studies suggest a trend that may have started in the late 1990s. The earth may be cooling.
The Hadley Centre for Climate Change, part of the UK Met Office, tracks global temperature and shows a big drop in global temperature anomalies since January 2007. Based on the HadCRUT3 system of observed temperatures, global surface temperature anomalies have been trending down since 2001. January 2008 had the coldest anomaly since 1995.
Temperature anomaly is the difference between observed temperature and the average temperature for the same time over a period of years.
Meteorologist Anthony Watts compiled the HadCRUT3 temperature grids to make this intriguing plot of trends since 1988. Note the large drop in global temperature anomaly over the past year

JMWalker, with these guys, its all about racial slurs, all the time when it comes to President-elect Obama.
I must have struck a nerve Walker. Illinois is like a big black eye for democrats. WHo is the first to bad mouth republicans who fall asunder?
“its all about racial slurs”
Not me. Not one did I post on this thread. Certainly not in Walker’s post back to me either.
How is “Barack Obama is not a true African-American” a racial slur?
Barack Obama, son of a Kenyan National and Caucasian American, raised for the most part by white grandparents. In Hawaii.
Calling him a black man is about as racist as it gets because then it is all about the color of his skin.
He has little if any first hand or family background as to the African-American experience.

That is my post. But I was responding to someone ELSE calling Obama an African American.
Obama can just as easily and truthfully be called WHITE (Caucasoid Race).
It is NOT American Way who is setting up this month to be historic because of the color of one man’s skin.
Have you ever stopped to wonder what you were thinking about?
I’ve never been lost.
I have, however been extremely confused about my present location.
Grist for the mill…just got this e-mail:
Lt. Governor Parkinson releases statement on his intentions for 2010
The following statement is from Lt. Governor Mark Parkinson:
“After much thought, I have made the decision not to run for Governor or any other political position in 2010.
“I’m proud of the accomplishments Kathleen and I have made over the past two years. We’ve tripled the amount of wind power in the state, landed the National Bio and Agro Defense Facility, and are now working to balance the state budget during a very challenging period. The Governor has made all of this possible and I’m proud to be a part of it.
“I admire those who are willing and able to make the sacrifices to serve the public for their entire careers, but, I’m not one of them. While we often ridicule our politicians, I am grateful for the incredible sacrifices they make to serve. As exciting as it has been to be back in public service, I look forward to returning to the private sector when our term is complete.
“I’m making this announcement now for two reasons. First, I’m getting asked often what I am going to do and I want to let everyone know. Second, any Democratic Party candidate who intends to run for Governor in 2010 needs substantial time to prepare.
“I believe the next two years are filled with opportunity and will be as productive as our first two. The Governor has shown that bi-partisan leadership creates real results. I’ll continue working hard to bring success to our state and progress for all Kansans, and I’m confident and hopeful that candidates will emerge who will continue to move the state forward.”
I don’t suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.
Local fundy minister and noted homophobe Mark Holick has struck again.
Spirit One Christian Sinner, er, Center, boasts another slanderous anti-Obama billboard. Mr. Holick’s earlier deeming of our President-Elect as a “Muslim” really aroused my ire.
Because I don’t care much for the Muslim belief system. In fact, I rather despise it. Last night’s episode of “Private Practice” (it’s on right after “Grey’s Anatomy”) merely buttressed my derision.
A Moose-leem patriarch refuses even to shake the doctor’s hand (a female doc, natch) upon introduction. That sort of set the tone.
Turns out that the dude’s 20-year-old progeny (a female, obviously) wants to have a certain form of restorative surgery. Something that will render her “pure” in the eyes of her prospective Afghanistan hubby, whom she’s never even met. (Her daddy arranged the match, of course.) Yes, the woman and her mother prevail upon the doctors to restore the daughter’s plundered maidenhead. Surgically. With scalpel and sutures.
Holy f–king crapola, gag me on that s–t in a big hurry.
Like gazillions of other women, I was born with this sainted membrane – it wasn’t sown onto my nubile body. It may have been smashed to smithereens long ago, but you sure as f–king well wouldn’t find me PAYING some doctor to re-virginize me.
Losing one’n virginity is a woeful experience for most women, although there are exceptions. I can’t imagine what the horror must be like to re-lose it after surgically “repairing” the dammed thang. Ouch!
I don’t care who in the hellola my prospective hubby would be – if he dares to ask me to “re-purify” myself in this fashion, my response wouldn’t be pretty. “Get this steercotted
bas–rd away from me ‘fore he loses what’s left of his virility,” I’d snarl.
I can’t imagine any cleric – even the most conservative – asking a woman to do this. I do remember hearing about “secondary virginity.” As if Big Bertha is somehow less immaculate than “primary” virgins.
But in the Muslim faith, any woman (even those raped) who’s sexually active before marriage is considered a non-entity.
My Gawd – my former faith wasn’t and isn’t perfect – but it never advocated sadism like this s–t.
Then again, Pastor Holick continually puts his foot in his mouth with spurious claims.
Can our newly-elected President sue his homophobic a$$ off, one wonders??????
I have, however been extremely confused about my present location.
That’s not lost. It is being misorientated.
Even if momentarily so.
Y’all enjoy your fridgid weekend. Outie.
Where’d everybody go?
Lunch 1.5 hours over? Back to working for the evil man?
Damn shame you can’t post all day long on your employers dime, heh?
Darn those evil CEO’s anyway!

What? Translation, please?
Did you miss my next sentence?
“Intelligent people discount any scientist who can not support their AGW denial with credible science.”
“Speaking out” can be just stating an opinion that is NOT based on science.
Science is forming a hypothesis, collecting data and doing research, peer-review, publication, other scientists trying to refute and replicate the hypothesis, refining and building on it, etc.

But I doubt that he will be able to understand that.
Hey cosMos
I did a google search on:
“The IPCC reports are conservative, and about 3 years out-of-date.”
and this it the first website that came up.
http://www.cosmosmagazine.com/news/1696/ipcc-report-already-out-date
I thought you said you were not a science journalist Cosmos. Once again you prove that you know very little about real science and more about junk. I would call you a liar if I didn’t believe you are just a wanabe scientist or journalist.
Besides, calling the IPCC conservative is just like calling Carl Marx a conservative.

You seem to represent the typical CON participants in this forum: ignorance and arrogance.
Your admission on another thread that you “…don’t take the “necessary time” to adjust and form my thoughts or sentences…” wasn’t all that surprising. It’s constantly evident. You “…say what I know and feel, regardless.”
“Regardless?” Regardless of what? Whether it makes sense or not? Regardless of how such behavior demonstrates the textbook definition of “reactionary?”
You add, “…I embarrass myself, but it’s short-lived and I’m on to the next abashment.”
Yeah, I would suppose short-term memory loss is more than a side-effect of your medications or symptomatic of impending dementia.
You revel in abashment?

Thank you for proving you’re not a scientist either.
From you link cosMo,
“British scientist Keith Shine, one of IPCC’s lead authors, discussing the Policymakers’ Summary. He said: “We produce a draft, and then the policymakers go through it line by line and change the way it is presented…. It’s peculiar that they have the final say in what goes into a scientists’ report”.”
Seems some of the main skeptics are the scientists the IPCC uses. I’ve been saying this all along.
Do you call you comment one of your “scientific facts”? It’s an opinion from “the policymakers” who want more power to mandate, tax, and control. I’ve been saying this all along and now one of the IPCC SCIENTISTS confirms this.
The IPPC chairman or POLICYMAKER says:
“There is no clear evidence that global warming is an imminent danger to the world, says Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
Even so, it would be good for governments to go further with proposed cuts in greenhouse-gas emissions to deal with dire predictions made in a 2007 panel report, he told the Associated Press in an interview on Tuesday.”
By believing it to be conservative you are proving how zealous you are. You have policymakers on your side Cos not scientists. If you were one you’d know that.

I was mocking Mo.
Baby-hating Illinois bureaucrat Roland Burris, named by the thoroughly corrupt pro-abortion Illinois Gov. Rod “Black-Hearted” Blagojevich to serve the remainder of Obamanation’s term in the U.S. Senate, is the one who signed a consent decree gutting the state’s born alive infant protection law, making it unenforceable. Under the thus eviscerated 1975 state law, abortionist quacks could declare that any infant born alive that was unwanted was “not viable” and could therefore be tossed into a closet to die alone and untouched.
Supporters of the rabidly pro-abortion Obamanation later tried claiming during his presidential campaign that a new state born alive infants protection act, which Obamanation personally killed in his Illinois Senate committee, was unnecessary to prevent the flagrant born-alive infanticides going on in Chicago’s Christ Hospital.
Democrat as well as pro-life members of the U.S. Senate say they will refuse to seat this insult to Congress named Burris.
Blagojevich wanted a lot of profit for handing over a U.S. Senate seat, but Burris wanted a lot of profit for handing over born-alive babies deliberately killed for money. So did Obamanation, and so he still does.

A new Harris poll shows that just 9% of Americans agree with Obamanation that abortion should be legal for any reason at any time during pregnancy. 82% said abortion should either be illegal under all circumstances or would limit its legality. 49% wanted either all abortions illegal (11% of those polled) or illegal with the rare exceptions (less than 2% of abortions) for rape, incest, and saving the mother’s life. 88% favor informed consent laws such as those vetoed by Bilious Sebelius.

Leftist, activist Cole County Judge Richard Callahan said Tuesday that the Missouri’s Amendment 2 appears to trump state law, forcing $21 million in taxpayer funding to be disbursed in violation of state law for useless, unethical human cloning and embryonic stem cell research, diverting the funds from such research programs as ethical, successful adult stem cell research, which has been producing new cures and beneficial treatments every year.

Following years of an abortion rate 3 times higher in the black community, homicides by blacks between the ages of 14 and 17 have jumped 34 percent from 2000 through 2007, disproving the wild theory that abortion reduces crime by killing babies who are more likely to grow up to be criminals. In fact, legalized abortion has contributed to more single-parent families, more illegitimate births, fewer adoptions, more child abuse, and more disregard for the value of human life, all contributing to more crime and more homicides.

The notorious pharmaceutical giant Merck & Co. has stopped the production and sale of its monovalent vaccines for measles, mumps and rubella, the moral alternative vaccines ethically produced using animal cells. Instead, the company will focus on combination vaccine, MMRII, which accounts for 98 percent of the company’s sales of the vaccines targeting those diseases, and which is unethically produced using tissue from human babies killed in abortion mills.
What will Merck & Co. be up to next, harvesting and selling organs from executed criminals and the hopelessly insane and disabled?

Nobody pays the climate scientists at RC to make their posts. They volunteer their time.
And Hank, please explain why you believe that science = “left wing”.
Cosmos,
For an answer to your last question, merely remember Copernicus and Galileo, and how “liberal” they were once perceived to be!!
And Cosmos, then remember whose side Henry Ford, Prescott Bush, and Charles Lindbergh were on in the late 1930’s….
“And Hank, please explain why you believe that science = “left wing”.”

Maybe Congress wants to raise the gas and diesel fuel tax, for the highways or is carbon emissions, or whatever. Same old story, soak the taxpayer now that the gas prices are down. I wish Congress would consider that they cannot run anything without hurting someone.

Come on cosmos, are you that incredibly ignorant? Or are you just a left wing Algore butt-boy that has no interest at all in the truth?
Calling realclimate.org a left wing website doesn’t have any thing to do with science. Realclimate.org is part of the Algore political propaganda machine. It exists for no other reason than to defame anyone that dares to go up against the Algore world view.
Algore’s biggest claim to fame was being the butt-boy for Clinton. When they were in power what did they ever do for the environment? What did they ever do to stem AGW?
I ask again, Why don’t you tell us who finances your left wing website, realclimate.org?
There WAS also that little matter of leading the initiative in making the internet accessible to the public.
That same internet you are now using?

Isn’t this an interesting phenom!? The last bab(ies) born in Wichita in 2008 and the first born in 2009 were twins! Wonder if that happens very often? I thought it was even more interesting that the first babies of 2009 were Iraqi refugees who are both now citizens.

Hank, I know the truth. RealClimate posts credible, peer-reviewed climate science. They are scientists who do climate research and publications.
And you can not refute those solid facts with your stupid “left wing Algore butt-boy” attacks. Or by trying to link who pays for the RC server to the climate science posted there.
Hank can not refute the science at RC — so instead he makes stupid, false attacks.

MIAMI – State troopers are looking for a charity to take thousands of shoes that were dumped on a Miami expressway, tying up rush hour traffic. Lt. Pat Santangelo says the Florida Highway Patrol received a call about the shoes Friday morning.
Santangelo says he’s not sure where the shoes came from. There were no signs of a crash and no one stopped to claim them. He says he hopes someone will take them because he doesn’t want to send them to the dump.
Workers using a front-end loader and a dump truck were able to quickly clear at least one lane by sweeping all the shoes to shoulder, but delays were expected until they could all be removed.
