Hansen was predicting the end of the earth, in 1971, due to the looming ice age.

Poor, very misinformed SolDevVB.

Rasool and Schneider (not Hansen) wrote the paper, which did not predict a "looming ice age". They only used a computer program that Hansen had written.

"Apparently the IBD thinks that if someone uses a program you wrote as a tool in their analysis you must agree with their conclusions. By their logic, if I borrow a pen from you, you must agree with everything I write with your pen."

It's a shame that SolDevVB is so misinformed, and also unable to understand climate science.

It’s always nice when ones deeply held convictions mesh profitably with their line of work.

AGW - the multi-billion dollar industry. Sure does sound like cosmos.

Hansen was predicting the end of the earth, in 1971, due to the looming ice age. With the past 8 years of cooling, the current sun cycle, PDO etc, he was closer to reality in '71 than now.

Too bad cosmos can't see the truth. Sure hope cosmos is getting her share of the billions for being such a faithful minion.

Of course, it does invite speculation as to which is more deeply held, the convictions or the revenue stream.

Sol,

Nice job of proving cosMo is a liar. You challenged him with a simple question. After 10 minutes of search he stalls by asking you a frivolous question and refuses to answer until he finally finds a lame irrelevant answer.

I've got a suggestion. Since most people on this blog are bored with this AGW crap, I suggest we reply any comment he makes with the same response. Something like: Cosmos, why do you continue to post comments you know nothing about.
Most of the AGW skeptics on this blog know are much more qualified than he so we should not encourage him.

Now wait a minute. So, In Monkey's twisted little mind, having a role in providing high tech medical equipment that save babies' lives is comparable with "the guards at Dachau"? Boxlock makes money. Horrors!

I guess when you are a socialist/communist or whatever that type of sorry thinking would indicate, profit is evil.

"...are you suggesting there is anything wrong with advancing one’s self to better support their family?"

Tell me again the contributions you make to the technologies of infant ventilators and monitors et cetera you peddle. Your commission simply makes it what? 10%, 15% more expensive?

But, no. there's nothing "...wrong with advancing oneself to better support..." your family. And the guards at Dachau were merely putting food on the table.

"Thanks Boxs,
I know (or, I should say, I suspect) you are a medical equipment salesman. That falls way short of being a neonatologist, so you’ll pardon me, I hope, if I suspect that you have no clue as to what you are talking about.
But, thanks for playing, you might win, if you keep trying. Getting a degree in Medicine would help with us taking you as a credible source.
Night. Going to bed soon"

Again and as always you are a presumptuous ass Steven. I worked in a newborn intensive care unit for only about 8 years and was supervisor of a respiratory team working with the physician that developed the NIC unit at Wesley and involved with portions of that development. When I went into medical equip. sales I sold infant ventilators and monitors and did the field inservices instructing the physicians, nurses and repiratory therapists on their use.
Now apologize butt hole.

I tell you what MH, we’ve butted heads more than once on this blog. But you’ve made me laugh more than we’ve fought. I’d be more than glad to share a recipe or two with you and my source for recipes. I make a drop dead Steak Marsala and a “make her puss-y wet” chicken Milano. I’d share those recipes with you in a heart beat just because they may make another human being smile. And if those human beings might be in your company, so be it. The only thing I ask is if you improve on the original recipe, give the brother a clue and lend me your tips. If you don’t offer a recipe in return, so be it.

I really like garlic.

As a result my kitchen is a National Historical Landmark as a certifiable vampire-free zone.

I am with you there brother. Wish I could get the wife in the same camp.

As per recipes... The way I see it... A recipe is only what some other bloke thinks tastes good....
but, it is a damn good place to start. You a wine drdinker? Ever tasted a Marsala wine?

SolDevVB,

Okay, since you keep stalling, I will assume that you do NOT know what modifications were made in Hansen's code.

BTW: When modifying old code for newer compilers, the sneaky problems are things like different defaults, such as for data precision.

I'll keep track of the throw-away e-mail.

Thanks.

A lot of my recipes have evolved into nothing much like what I started doing.

I learned a lot of things from my grandmother whose most common answer to "How much garlic do I put in?" was "Whatever you think is right."

I really like garlic.

As a result my kitchen is a National Historical Landmark as a certifiable vampire-free zone.

Hey, I’m here all night. Cosmos, I am curious, what is your depth of knowledge in the most current programming language?

Are you knowledgeable about restful applications? Are you up to speed on WCF security models?

Cosmos,

Again, you debut your ignorance. What is the difference between a variable and a pointer in FORTRAN, C, C+ and/or C++/C#?
