Wright doesn’t blame Obama

Returning to his former pulpit Sunday to mark the 47th anniversary of Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright seemed to blame Barack Obama’s break with mentor Wright and his church on others (describing, for example, Elisabeth Hasselbeck of ABC’s “The View” as “that dumb broad”). Wright said: “The hatred of the media and the haters in politics may have caused him to distance himself from us, but the love of Christ will never allow me to distance myself from him. I can no more disown him than I can disown any other child of mine who makes (a) bad decision. He made a bad decision, but he’s still my child.”

Wright and Joe the Plumber, just go away. It’s bad enough OJ Simpson is in the “news” again.

And I am sure Rev Wright is still Obama’s reverend too. It was just politically correct for Obama to tell the American people a lie. You know, politics before God.

Just as newsworthy as Sarah Palin.

Jeremiah Wright will be like a cow bell tied to Obama’s political tail.

Every time Obama shakes it, that bell is gonna ring. :D

I heard the tape myself on HANNITY and colmes.

Wright called Hasselback a dizzy blond, not a dumb broad.

And even though I am distantly related to Hasselback, I say Wright was being kind. Ya don’t wanna know what I would call that little right wing stooge.

Wright is a narcissist who loves nothing more than being in the limelight…Obama was smart to distance himnself from him.

Rev. Wright seems a little full of himself. He has nothing intellectual to contribute but redundant diatribe.

“I can no more disown him than I can disown any other child of mine who makes (a) bad decision. He made a bad decision, but he’s still my child.”

A bad decision really, does Rev. Wright not realize how many voters he turned off to Obama. He should be the one apologizing to Obama, he’s lucky he didn’t cost him the election.

I think by not throwing him away you are doing exactly what he wants and that is grasp the spotlight. The election is over move on.

Rev. Wright, like Palin, is just trying to stay relevant and attract attention to themselves post election. Move on, nothing to see here.

One wonders how the CONs can criticise Obama’s pastor on the one hand and call him “a Muslim who will take the oath of office on a Quran” on the other.

Please try to remember that the America Wright lived most of his life in and vehemenently protests is not the same America white society lives in, it’s the one white society created and forced him to live in, an America of enforced poverty and ignorance, violence and injustice and racism, all designed to “keep him in his place.” That America is dying, thank God, but it’s not completely dead yet, and some of you seem hell-bent on reviving it.

Rev Wright fought in Korea and came home and had to sit in the back of the bus.

I’d g-damn America too if that happened to me.

Jed, Are you crazy. Have you seen how this man lives. The seven million dollar house he is building. The traveling he has done.

This isn’t a man living in poverty, ignorance or violence unless it makes it that way.

    Good try but no cigar.

Capt that is the point I make that generally stops the one saying it in their tracks. “So what do you think Obama was doing? Was he a undercover spy for the Moslems the 20 years he attended a Christian church?
But than some stop me after that by accusing Obama of being the Anti-Christ! How can you argue with logic when they throw up such a illogical argument?
