Sen. Bush in 2010?

Don’t put a period at the end of the Bush era just yet. Politico reports that former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush may run for the U.S. Senate seat held by Mel Martinez, who announced Tuesday that he won’t seek re-election in 2010. After the November election, Bush offered a prescription for the GOP that included showing no tolerance for corruption, practicing limited government, embracing reform and standing for working families and small businesses. Bush also recently said that the GOP needs to broaden its base to avoid becoming “the old white-guy party.”

A fun read is “The Bush Tragedy,” by Jacob Weisberg.

A lot of concise, well-researched account of Shrub and all of what’s happened over the past 8 years.

Jeb was the smart brother. Jeb was the guy who was supposed to follow George HW Bush to the presidency. Dumbya beat him to it, though, and ruined the Bush brand.

Florida is weird, though. And the word is Jeb isn’t nearly as stupid as his big brother.

There’s a lot of evidence George HW Bush is desperate to rehabilitate the Bush “brand,” after Srub’s fiasco of a presidency. I wouldn’t be in the least surprised if word gets out the Bush family pressured Martinez to announce his retirement.

Shrub told Charlie Gibson he was gonna miss flying on Air Force One and the White House chef.

The opportunity to work for Peace?

    Prosperity?

    Justice?

    Democracy?

No, Shrub won’t miss that. He’ll miss the creme brulee for dessert in the White House’s Family Dining Room on Pork Chop Night..

No, he’s not. But he’s even MORE conniving and evil. Check out his ownership of the company that sold the pumps to New Orleans and how the failure of those shoddy pumps led to the breaking of the levees.

He’s a bastard of the highest, er, lowest order.

But hey, the god folks love him. Palin and the Huckster have no chance if he becomes the fundy poster boy.

    Jesus WEPT!

That’s right, left-wing Marxists, curse Bush. That’s what you do best, while offering no solutions of your own, other than redistribution of wealth, abortion, gay rights, and sky-high taxes.

ksfarmgrrl, why the hatred for Bush? Why do you want to throw him in jail so bad? We could do the same to your hero Slick Willie for his pardons. Or wait until HUSSEIN Obama gets in office. No good Negro who is not a natural-born American.

There ya go, black churches. That’s who you are in bed with when you stomp on gay marriage.

    Nice bedfellows.

Really all churches. That’s your cohort in the fight to keep the gays in their place.

The bush name is mud. He might possibly win in someplace like Kansas or say Georgia, but Jeb has no future in national politics.

Inferior one – in case you didn’t know it Hawaii is a part of the USA. But I guess someone as inferior as you are wouldn’t be able to comprehend that.

Jeb might have had a chance before George. Daddy was a mediocre president but that would not have automatically disqualified Jeb. But now with both George and Neil – I have to wonder if there are ANY decent Bushes?

GWB and Jeb always put me in mind of the Prodigal Son story in the bible. Except in this case the Prodigal Son proved he was unworthy of his inheritance.
