The key economic recovery is Marxism.

Yeah, yeah.
The sky is falling.
The evil Manchurian candidate is going to take your guns, kill babies, marry man and beast, and bring in some really good porno into the gradeschools.
Bla, bla, etc, etc.
Now for a morning joke.
A three legged dog limps into an old west saloon, sidles up to the bar, slams his six-shooter on the bar, and barks out loud:
“AWRIGHT, I’M-A-LOOKIN’ FOR THE MAN THAT SHOT MY PAW!”
Ouch!
So tell me again how much better the British system is.

Now here’s a REAL stimulus plan
Convert Paulson’s Last $350 Billion
into Tax Holiday, says U.S. Congressman
“Billions of Dollars for Taxpayers, but Not One More Penny for Executive Bailouts”
WASHINGTON, D.C. – As millions of Americans are hoping to maximize their holiday shopping budgets on today’s Black Friday bargains, one U.S. Congressman is fighting to prevent more outrageous spending sprees by Washington with taxpayer dollars going to executive cronies.
With $350 billion of the $700 billion bailout still available to Paulson pending Congressional approval, a conservative Texas lawmaker is proposing to put that money towards a tax holiday from both personal income tax and FICA tax for Americans during January and February of 2009.
He stated, “By instating a temporary tax holiday, we could electrify the American economy and provide overwhelming relief to taxpayers, all for less than the cost of the current failed Paulson-Pelosi bailout system.”

Hee hee hee heeeeee…..
How many times ya gonna post that heckie? You posted it yesterday too.
Ya know, posting it repeatedly gives it no more credibility than it had the first time. Which was none.
This economic collapse is the death of the lie that is supply side economics. But feel free to prop up the rotting corpse of the laffer curve. Right next to the corpse of st. ronnie ray gun.
You wingnuts can have your very own weekend at Bernanke’s, er, Bernie’s, while the rest of the world thankfully moves on to economic models that actually, ya know, work!

We all own preferred stock issued at par value in your companies,
On behalf of the American Taxpayers, we wish all of you a happy new year too!
The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,
I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.
My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,
My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.
Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white,
Transforming the yard to a winter delight.
The sparkling lights in the tree I believe,
Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.
My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep,
Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep.
In perfect contentment, or so it would seem,
So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream.
The sound wasn’t loud, and it wasn’t too near,
But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear.
Perhaps just a cough, I didn’t quite know, Then the
sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow.
My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,
And I crept to the door just to see who was near.
Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night,
A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.
A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old,
Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold.
Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,
Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child.
‘What are you doing?’ I asked without fear,
‘Come in this moment, it’s freezing out here!
Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve,
You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!’
For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift,
Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts.
To the window that danced with a warm fire’s light
Then he sighed and he said ‘Its really all right,
I’m out here by choice. I’m here every night.’
‘It’s my duty to stand at the front of the line,
That separates you from the darkest of times.
No one had to ask or beg or implore me,
I’m proud to stand here like my fathers before me.
My Gramps died at ‘ Pearl on a day in December,’
Then he sighed, ‘That’s a Christmas ‘Gram always remembers.’
My dad stood his watch in the jungles of ‘ Nam ‘,
And now it is my turn and so, here I am.
I’ve not seen my own son in more than a while,
But my wife sends me pictures, he’s sure got her smile.
Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag,
The red, white, and blue… an American flag.
I can live through the cold and the being alone,
Away from my family, my house and my home.
I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet,
I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat.
I can carry the weight of killing another,
Or lay down my life with my sister and brother..
Who stand at the front against any and all,
To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall.’
‘ So go back inside,’ he said, ‘harbor no fright,
Your family is waiting and I’ll be all right.’
‘But isn’t there something I can do, at the least,
‘Give you money,’ I asked, ‘or prepare you a feast?
It seems all too little for all that you’ve done,
For being away from your wife and your son.’
Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,
‘Just tell us you love us, and never forget.
To fight for our rights back at home while we’re gone,
To stand your own watch, no matter how long.
For when we come home, either standing or dead,
To know you remember we fought and we bled.
Is payment enough, and with that we will trust,
That we mattered to you as you mattered to us.’

“This economic collapse is the death of the lie that is supply side economics”
This economic “problem” we have is a result of government intervention.
Government entities forced banks to make stupid loans.
Government entities Freddie/Fannie guaranteed and bought up stupid loans. They ended up holding HALF of the bad paper.
All of that bad paper that was encouraged and DEMANDED by Government entities fed the housing bubble raising prices significantly in some areas.
But then the bubble popped…..
Now you can scream all you want about the deregulation that allowed the bundling of mortgages into securities. Go ahead. But there would have been no problem without all the bad paper that was encouraged and forced by GOVERNMENT entities.
But go on with your delusions. I know they make you feel all good.
And as you walk past the Salvation Army bell ringers on your way into shopping, please do remember these poor souls also ringing your bell, and asking for a handout:
COMPANIES HOPING TO TAP INTO TARP (Trouble Asset Relief Program): American Express Co (AXP.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) is seeking about $3.5 billion National Penn Bancshares (NPBC.O: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) has applied for $150
million INSURANCE COMPANIES In addition to TARP’s $40 billion for AIG, the Federal
Reserve is separately giving AIG up to $112.5 billion for asset
purchases. Other insurers are interested in cash infusions, but they
must own a thrift or bank to qualify. On Friday, Hartford
Financial Services Group Inc (HIG.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) agreed to become a small
savings and loan, making it eligible for up to $3.4 billion

Citigroup Inc. $25,000,000,000
This is from only one fund (TARP). From another fund we sent another $20,000,000 (Systemically Significant Failing Institution Program).
“Government entities forced banks to make stupid loans.”
There is the heart of your lie. That, and the facts, over twenty plus years, that the laffer curve is just plain crap.
Keep repeating that CRA meme. I love it. I hope you keep repeating it every day until 2012 and then you and yours nominate PALIN IN 2012.
Please. It’s all working so well for you.
heh. HEHEH. HEE HEE HEE. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
You might be selling, but it seems the voters arent buying.

“You wingnuts can have your very own weekend at Bernanke’s”
As far as I’m concerned the actions by Bernanke and Paulson are stupid. They will just kick the can on down the road to be crushed another day. The overwhelming view from the right is not of support for Bernanke/Paulson. I don’t know where you get that. More delusions?
hee hee heeeee…
“But go on with your delusions. I know they make you feel all good.”
Would you like a little cheese to go with that whine?
Or should we just call the waaaaaaaambulance?
And please, let us all join together and pass the hat for some of our cities and county governments. They DESERVE a handout too:
“CITIES ASK FEDS FOR FINANCING TOO
Here’s some (free) advice for the city of Philadelphia: if you want to succeed with your plan to get the Treasury Department to direct some capital your way, have yourself declared a bank. Ditto for Phoenix and Atlanta. Maybe Chicago. Urban areas hardly have been insulated from the economic and financial meltdown that’s gripped the country, of course. As jobs are lost, tax roles decline. The cities become liable for a bigger piece of pension pies. There’s less private investment in infrastructure. The credit-market collapse hasn’t helped: cities have found that, when it comes time to raise money in the municipal bond market, investors are demanding higher returns. Some cities have been forced to withdraw from conventional capital markets.
Their solution: the feds should help them out. These cities have asked Henry Paulson for $50 billion in emergency financing that cities would use for infrastructure projects, pension costs and short-term borrowing. And they said they want the money to come from the $700 bank bailout plan. The government is supporting banks, mayors reasoned. ”Cities need support, too,” a spokesman for Philadelphia Mayor Nutter said. Of course, the Treasury has rebuffed any overtures that would extend the use of TARP funds beyond what Paulson convinced Congress he wanted the money for. Even though Paulson now says he’s not using the money for what he told Congress he wanted it for. But Treasury has turned down the largest county in Alabama, which faced bankruptcy threats.”
And let us not forget the CHILDREN, for heavens sake. We have plenty of giving power this holiday season for the public schools too, don’t we?
“CLEVELAND — A financially strapped local school district in Ohio is taking a cue from Detroit.
Olmsted Falls Superintendent Todd Hoadley is seeking a piece of the $700 billion federal economic bailout package — in fact, he’s asked the Treasury Department for $100 million.
Hoadley cites rising enrollment and strained finances that have forced his district to convert maintenance closets into classrooms.
Hoadley says he’ll be disappointed if Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland don’t approve his request.”
KFG responds with…..
wait for it…..
wah wah wah wahhh wah wah.
““Government entities forced banks to make stupid loans.”
There is the heart of your lie”
NO, it’s what you cant bring yourself to admit. Tens of thousands of loans that should have never been made, encouraged and forced by Government entities. Tying credit up in overpriced property. Market value crashes, loans default, banks cant unload property, boom. No money to loan. Bad debt crushing the banks.
“This is from only one fund (TARP). From another fund we sent another $20,000,000 (Systemically Significant Failing Institution Program).”
Oh no Hud, I had not forgotten! But thank-you for bringing it up.
My Christmas Card was only TARP funds for the Captial Purchase Program. Thanking the poor, poor, banker presidents and their executive staffs for allowing the American taxpayers the opportunity to buy their worthless stock.
We are so thankful, you know.
I hope others will be just as thankful and remind all of how much we have ALREADY given this joyful holiday season.
The feds break up the handouts, to keep the shell game confusing. The average American cannot keep up with all this giving.
Isn’t XMAS wonderful!@ It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!!
Hecker, you can produce absolutely NO evidence that the government forced ANYONE to make bad loans. None. Zip.
Your meme of “they made us make loans to colored people” is just so much crap.
Cling to it. Stash it away with your bible and your guns. It doesnt change the fact that supply side nonsense has failed. Miserably, and hugely.
Whatever gets you through the night. Or the day. Or the next eight years.
Instead of any port in a storm, it seems like you dead ender supply siders are desperately seeking any lie in defeat.
Have at it!
And this should certainly restore your confidence in your federal government:
“The head of a new Congressional panel set up to monitor the gigantic federal bailout says the government still does not seem to have a coherent strategy for easing the financial crisis, despite the billions it has already spent in that effort.
Elizabeth Warren, the chairwoman of the oversight panel, said in an interview Monday that the government instead seemed to be lurching from one tactic to the next without clarifying how each step fits into an overall plan.
A Harvard law school professor and a consumer bankruptcy expert, Ms. Warren was named by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to the new five-member panel, created as part of the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program, known as TARP, enacted in October. She was elected chairwoman at the group’s first meeting last Wednesday.”
Harvard. We will be hearing a lot from graduates from there.
kfg
“Your meme of “they made us make loans to colored people” is just so much crap.”
Who brought up “colored people”? YOU!
Colors got nothing to do with it. Just typical leftist debate tactic.
wah wah wah wah RACIST wah wah wah
And please explain to me how the Laffer Curve has anything to do with banks going under from holding bad debt. Please.
Surely you are not going to argue that low tax rates forced banks into holding bad debt are you?
Republican party = the land of the bigots and the home of the stupid.
Come on people!!!!
Get with the Christmas giving spirit.
All this finger pointing at the other political party, and the blame game of calling fouls on the opposite team – is not fitting of the season.
The reason for the season: Open your eyes and watch the world change around you as BOTH FREAKING PARTIES ARE BLOWING THEIR WAD!!!!!
Enjoy it! Celebrate it together. As American’s, we are all getting screwed this Christmas by the full Congress and president!!!

Change?
CHICAGO/WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President-elect Barack Obama is not planning to implement a windfall profit tax on oil companies because prices have dropped below $80 a barrel, an aide said on Tuesday.
http://www.reuters.com/article/vcCandidateFeed2/idUSTRE4B206W20081203
Apparently Obama cannot spare any change.
Sorry Heckler, but I am not whining about you being a bigot. I know you can’t help it.
It must really suck to be you.
No threads on the stories of consequence. Such as:
More ISLAMIC terrorism.
Saxby Chambliss victory in Georgia ruins Democrat hopes for filibuster proof Senate.
And what is it with these idiots who take out their personal problems on helpless babies? http://www.kansas.com/news/story/618164.html
(Perhaps you could address that one Steven, instead of rote insults?)
Heckler is an example of the “too stupid to live” wing of wingnuttia.
The laffer curve relates to your first post. It’s the only tool you all think you have, the hammer, so every looks like a nail to you.
Look up the laffer curve if you have the skills.
And the racist bullshit of “they forced us to make loans to colored people” is the real push behind the “banks were forced to make bad loans” meme.
Whatever. If you cant see it, there’s no hope for you. None so blind as those who will not see.
Like I said… cling to your memes, lies and talking points.
Clearly, they are all you have.
“And what is it with these idiots who take out their personal problems on helpless babies? http://www.kansas.com/news/story/618164.html”
More proof, along with parkay’s daily screeds, that STRAIGHT people should NOT be allowed to marry or raise children.
Look at all the harm they do!
During the campaign, I only ever saw a handful of Sarah! or McCain Palin signs and only 2 bumper stickers for same.
Yesterday, I saw this dumb con cow in an SUV who STILL had her McCain/Palin sticker in her window.
(Sort of like proclaiming to the world, “I’m a PROUD idiot!)
As I rolled up along side her, I just pointed at her and laughed.
As American’s, we are all getting screwed this Christmas by the full Congress and president!!!

I looked at the numbers…..I just threw up a little in my mouth…
“It must really suck to be you.”
hehehehheheheh.
It’s going to continue to suck and get worse for him over the next four, maybe eight years.
Oh. This is going to be so.much.fun!
The sh*t is rolling, doesn’t matter if your Con or Lib you will get it on you.
Why do you think only “colored” people live in blighted neighborhoods?
Hud
The numbers came from the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act Treas. web site:
http://www.ustreas.gov/initiatives/eesa/
Completed transactions.
Who is president will make little difference in you life. I am hopeful that Obama will be good for the country. Four years, eight years will pass.
But being hate filled and bitter is a much harder thing to deal with.
More ISLAMIC terrorism.

St. Louis City Leader Says Police Ineffective, Tells Residents to Get Armed
ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis city leader frustrated with the police response to rising crime called Tuesday on residents to arm themselves to protect their lives and property.
Alderman Charles Quincy Troupe said police are ineffective, outnumbered or don’t care about the increase in crime in his north St. Louis ward. St. Louis has had 157 homicides in 2008, 33 more than last year at this time.
“The community has to be ready to defend itself, because it’s clear the economy is going to get worse, and criminals are getting more bold,” Troupe, 72, said Tuesday.
Troupe said that when he and residents approached a district police commander last year, they were told “there was nothing he could do to protect us and the community … that he didn’t have the manpower.”
Police did not immediately return requests for comment. Chief Dan Isom told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch he understands Troupe’s frustration but doesn’t support citizens arming themselves.
Carrying guns, he said, is not a “recipe for a less violent community.”
“city leader frustrated with the police response to rising crime called Tuesday on residents to arm themselves ”
Or great. Now how are poor people going to get guns?
Free cheese and now free guns too!?!
Thanks for the poem, Sol!

Mumbai mourns attacks as public anger swells
“You can see how angry people are and how hurt everyone is,” said Mahesh Patel, a middle-aged trader who walked with a huge slogan-shouting crowd of students.
“I have come with my friends because we cannot take it any more. The politicians must act, they must stop taking us for granted.”
Holding placards and banners condemning terrorism, the emotionally charged crowd raised slogans against Pakistan and Indian politicians.
“Down down Pakistan, attack Pakistan,” they shouted angrily. “Hail India, shame shame politicians.”

No worries Hank. Thank you for serving, and your son too.
We lost another good one. Odetta died of heart disease.
All of us 60s folkies will mourn her passing. That deep, raspy, angry, painful, loving voice inspired us to not only really listen to the words, but to do something about the situation.
She was the unofficial voice of the civil rights movement. It owes a lot to her.
Gonna miss you, girl. You spoke to our hearts.
Dennis
Not taking away, YelDog, but if you remember the 60’s, you weren’t really there.
Uhhh, there are gaps….
Remember when we Libs said that Reagan encouraged Saddam Hussein to gas Kurds by turning a blind eye to it?
And all the CONs said, “quit re-writing history! St. Ronald never did anything wrong”?
Turns out we were right and the CONs were totally incorrect and lying as usual:
1980s: Iraq
CNN found that intervention is often weighed against political and economic costs.
Declassified U.S. government documents show that while Saddam Hussein was gassing Iraqi Kurds, the U.S. opposed punishing Iraq with a trade embargo because it was cultivating Iraq as an ally against Iran and as a market for U.S. farm exports.
According to Peter Galbraith, then an idealistic Senate staffer determined to stop Hussein from committing genocide, the Reagan administration “got carried away with their own propaganda. They began to believe that Saddam Hussein could be a reliable partner.”
http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/11/20/sbm.overview/index.html
And don’t forget that Bob Dole was kissing Saddamn Hussein’s ass in March of the same year that Saddam invaved Kuwait, well after he had “GASSED HIS OWN PEOPLE IN HALABJA!!!, which was one of the fake pretexts for invading in 2003 . . .
I wasn’t even born yet. Something I heard earlier today.

“Was once” is what welfare is supposed to be for.
Not a lifestyle.
Sol–
No offense, but I hate when people say that.
I guess it’s supposed to be funny, but LSD for instance doesn’t affect memory at all. Out of pot and booze, blackouts and memory loss are much more typical of booze.
I remember the 60’s like it was yesterday–JFK’s assassination, King’s, Bobby Kennedy. I remember seeing the dead bodies on the stretchers getting loaded into the choppers every night on the six o’clock news while I ate dinner with the family.
The fact that this administration blacked out all the coffins coming home is one reason why the war has dragged on so long.
Out of sight . . . out of mind.
I remember the sixties too.
Kennedies inaugural speech.
Dad getting us kids up to make sure we didn’t miss any of the rocket launches (mercury forward).
First man on the moon.
MLK speech.
First color tv.
Push button telephones.
The Beatles and great music
Blue jeans allowed at school.
The astrodome (and the great Cowboys)
First heart transplant.
Positive memories.
Oh and mini-skirts!
HOW BIG IS WAL-MART?
HOW BIG IS WAL-MART?
1 At Wal-Mart,
Americans spend $36,000,000 every hour
of every day.
2 This works out to $20,928 profit
every minute!
3 Wal-Mart will sell more
from January 1 to St. Patrick’s Day
(March 17th) than Target sells all year.
4 Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot +
Kroger + Target + Sears + Costco +
K-Mart combined..
5 Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people
and is the largest private employer.
6 Wal-Mart is the largest company
in the history of the World.
7 Wal-Mart now sells more food
than Kroger & Safeway combined,
and keep in mind they did this
in only 15 years.
8 During this same period,
31 Supermarket chains sought bankruptcy
(including Winn-Dixie).
9 Wal-Mart now sells more food
than any other store in the world.
10 Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores
in the USA of which 1,906 are
SuperCenters; this is 1,000 more than
it had 5 years ago.
11 This year, 7.2 billion different
purchasing experiences will occur
at a Wal-Mart store.
(Earth’s population is approximately
6.5 billion..)
12 90% of all Americans live
within 15 miles of a Wal-Mar
And during the recession, Walmart stock continues to grow and prosper. Amazingly, during the current terrible recession: The shoppers are still buying!

One of the most controversial welfare reform measures of the 1990s was the imposition of time limits on cash aid to welfare recipients. It may represent the single greatest break from past policy. The new rule means that families generally can receive federally-funded benefits for no more than 60 months during their lifetime. Indeed, many states have imposed even shorter time limits.
Reading her posts above I am reminded it does “really suck” to be kfg.
Gawd, what an obnoxious disgusting dyke.
Here kfg, chew on this awhile:
Gay marriage is illegal, it is unnatural, it is not the Judeo-Christian structure for a family which is created for the benefit of children. And legitimizing gay unions would also usurp other rights such as the rights of parents to teach their children the morals they believe in, people to hire who they choose, etc.
Marriage, and other such laws, is based on both faith and tradition, but also a fully secular creation of the state, and as such the state has the power to place limits on it. The state, as voiced by the will of the people in an election, has decided on a regulation to limit it to one man and one woman, which is a completely legitimate use of its power.
Homosexual relationships do nothing to serve the state interest of propagating society, so there is no reason to grant them the costly benefits of marriage.
The biggest danger homosexual civil marriage presents is the enshrining into law the notion that sexual love, regardless of its fecundity, is the sole criterion for marriage. If the state must recognize a marriage of two men, or two women, simply because they claim to love one another, upon what basis can’t it deny marital recognition to a group of two men and three women, for example, or a sterile brother and sister who claim to love each other, or any other perverted interest? Homosexual activists protest that they only want all couples treated equally. But why is sexual love between two people more worthy of state sanction that love between three, or five? When the purpose of marriage is procreation, the answer is obvious. If sexual love becomes the primary purpose, the restriction of marriage to couples loses its logical basis, leading to marital chaos.
And remember this as well…it ain’t gon’a happen here, thank goodness!

in case you didn’t know kia
http://www.nber.org/digest/jul01/w8153.html
One of the most controversial welfare reform measures of the 1990s was the imposition of time limits on cash aid to welfare recipients. It may represent the single greatest break from past policy. The new rule means that families generally can receive federally-funded benefits for no more than 60 months during their lifetime. Indeed, many states have imposed even shorter time limits.
————————————————–
True but there are also forms of Government assistance without limit (section 8 rental assistance, food stamps, etc.).
Boxlock–
Dude, that wasn’t even a good try.
Society defines marriage based on its cultural traditions. Period.
Solomon had a thousand wives or something.
Muslims theoretically can have more than one wife, although I don’t know of any personally who do. In Old China, wealthy men also took more than one wife if they wanted to.
In Papua New Guinea, where women were in short supply for some unknown reason, polyandry (more than one husband) used to be commonly practiced.
Many non-industrialized tribes (like Hawaiian Polynesians years ago) have no marriage at all and children are raised in common by the village.
There is no real argument that can be brought against gay marriage. That a lot of hateful and judgmental and puritannical people don’t like the idea of gay sex is not a real argument.
Religious arguments, too, have no place in American law.
So, the fact is, Boxlock, you got nothing.
You’re fighting a change that is inevitable–the fact that gay marriage has already become a reality in a number of states means that the concensus is already shifting.
You are fighting a losing battle and are on the wrong side of history . . . but, what else is new for the CONs?
Mr Kia whines, “those damn poor people on FOOD STAMPS!”
Yeah, Merry Christmas, Scrooge.
“And remember this as well…it ain’t gon’a happen here, thank goodness!”
Gay marriage you mean?
Well bawks I’m very happy to tell you that I’m fairly sure you are wrong. Here’s why.
I’m not gay. I also have no desire to be married. But it IS an important rights issue for a friend I very much respect. It ALSO seems to be a real thumb in the eye for people like you who I detest.
You do the math. Who is winning friends and influencing people? YOU did not even have the courage to show up and look lil’ ol’ me in the eye. With soldiers like you for your cause? How long can ya last?

I’d argue Miss Annie that is what you have when there is a class of people in this country dependent on Government Assistance.
“Society defines marriage based on its cultural traditions. Period.”
Well, what’s your point there? Our “cultural traditions” are a one man one woman marriage union, always have been. Gays have no inherent right to change that.
“gay marriage has already become a reality in a number of states”
Ha…two! That’s out of fifty in case you’ve forgotten.
How does it make you feel kfg to have a childish immature idiot that likes to issue, ridiculous challenges (I’m still chuckling over that one) like BlueJay calling himself a defending friend of yours. Misery love company and birds of a feather I guess.
The only thing I have for you kfg is the conviction you are a festering abscess on the a$$ of society.

I do remember that! I think that was a notion that played nationwide for a little while, and sorta fizzled out everywhere. Still see the label once in awhile.
I suppose that is what companies do to be profitable. Of course, “we” shoppers let that happen.
Will Ted live until Xmas? 74% yes
Will Ted die Xmas day? 18% yes
Will Ted die before seeing the New Year? 24% yes
Will Ted die before seeing Obama inaugurated? 32% yes
Will Ted die on the podium while Obama reads the oath of Office with his hand on the Koran on Inauguration Day? 48% yes
Will Ted die after Obama is inaugurated? 4% yes
Note: Odds of winning and Amount of Prize depends on number of entries and exact date and time of death. If there is a tie, the winners will be subject to a contest to see who can hold their breath the longest under water.

They deserve to be gleeful. In fact, I hope they stay that way. Because the democrats won the election by a slim majority (albeit undeniably a majority) – they have converted a narrow win into a landslide. A huge call for change. And from that, they have supposed the rest of America 47% red, plus independents, are now mostly purple.

Can’t do that.
There is hope for the American auto industry. The union just provided a glimmer:
” DEVELOPING STORY:
A United Auto Workers official says the union has agreed to restart contract talks with the Detroit Three automakers and delay their payments into a union-run health care trust.

A corporation has a duty to maximize its shareholders’ returns. It does not have a duty to sell American products, unless it reasonably believes those products will increase the company profit margin more than products made by other countries.
If you want to see Made in USA in stores, you as a consumer must consistently and frequently buy Made in USA products (even and especially when they cost more) so companies have a reason to put them on shelves.

I am really upset about what our elected servants and wealthy bank CEO’S, and wall street people, and automobile CEO’S are up to now, with the talk today as reported in the papers of our government wanting to GIVE $700,000,000,000.00 to fix our countrys money problems. Now I am not the smartest person and am not claiming to know how to fix the problems this country and the world is facing, but it seems to me that giving money to the people who got us into this mess in the first place, is not going to fix anything it is just going to get us more of the same and when they are through spending that we will be in the same place we are now, only further in debt!!!
I have a better plan and it is real simple and everyone will get involved in solving the problem. First off I looked at the U.S. Census Burea and found out that the estimated population of the U.S. in 2006 was 299,398,484 that is every man, woman, and child. Now if we are real generous and increase that number it puts us at roughly 400,000,000 right!!! The same Census says that roughly 6% are children under 5. The same Census says that roughly 24% are under 18. Okay here is where the good part comes in, if you haven’t already guessed where I am going with this.
Pretty simple math takes over at this point, split the $700,000,000,000.00 with every man, woman, and child and you now have a country where every person now has $175.000.00 before taxes to spend. Think of everything that will be spent and how much those that are asking for it all will make, I can’t believe this will not help them more than just giving all of it to them. People will pay off bank loans, credit card bills, house morgatages, buy new cars, which in turn they will need more insurance for, I could go on and on, but isn’t that what they are saying they want to happen?!!!! I know those with kids will get more but it will still get spent on something I bet. Its really not rocket science but in order for the economy to grow the all the people must have money to spend and not just the wealthest people, that is the reason we are where we are at now!!! At least everybody would be involved in helping those with the money now solve the problems they have created. After all don’t we all have a stake in what they are trying to pull over on us now? It is time we the people take back control of our country and quit letting those in power and the already wealthy people dictate where our hard earn dollars are going. If we are going to give away the amount of money they are talking about, it should be given to those among us who are working hard everyday just to survive and not to those who already have more than they can spend in a lifetime. Remember they caused the problem with their practices and ideas it is time another road is tried. If you agree with this idea I urge you to send this on to your elected officials and everybody else you know, who knows maybe………oh yeah I forgot to mention it is not going to cost us the $700,000,000,000.00 either because the government will get their 30% right back in taxes, so my plan has already saved us some money!!!
God bless America!!!!
P.S. Lets take back what is ours before it is to late!!!!

A little flaw here Wallie-Joe…
$700 billion divided by 400 million people is $1,750 (one thousand seven hundred fifty) per person. Not $175,000(one hundred seventy five thousand) per person.
Not really much we can do with less than two thousand bucks per person, the government tried that with stimulus checks last spring.
nice try though…
if it really were equivalent to $175,000 per person, I would prefer that to a bank bailout too.
Have a Merry Christmas – ‘Cause I said so…
Utah lawmaker proposes resolution to embrace Christmas
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) – State Sen. Chris Buttars is sponsoring a resolution asking the Legislature to declare its opposition to what he calls the war on Christmas.
Buttars, R-West Jordan, wants retailers to embrace Christmas in their promotions, saying the United States is a Christian nation and ought to use the holiday’s name.
Buttars says several fellow lawmakers support his effort, though he wouldn’t name them.
The resolution is still being drafted.
One local advertising executive, Dave Newbold, says no one should force their beliefs on others. And Jim Olsen, president of the Utah Retail Merchants Association, says it would be difficult for retailers to stick to using just Christmas if they are part of national promotions that don’t use the name of the holiday.

Even though is is probably true (and foreseeable) that the bailout will actually cost $7 trillion, the government would never tell us that now.
No way the public would support that, they are having enough trouble with the $700b

Fresh off his runoff victory Tuesday night, Georgia Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss credited Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin with firing up his base.

“When she walks in a room, folks just explode,” he added. “And they really did pack the house everywhere we went. She’s a dynamic lady, a great administrator, and I think she’s got a great future in the Republican Party.”

According to a new Canadian research paper, falling in line with dozens of other premature birth studies over the last 2 decades, black women are three times more likely to have an early pre-term birth before 32 weeks gestation and four times more likely to have an extremely pre-term birth before 28 weeks gestation in comparison with women of other ethnic groups, because of the abortion rate 3 times higher in the targeted black race. The authors also looked at the nation of Poland and found that when it limited the scarring of mothers by reducing abortions, it saw its premature birth rates decrease.
Obama, the genocidal Judas goat for the black race, is likely to suppress or ridicule this latest information, since if heeded, it might cause a drop in abortion mill profits, his favorite cash cow for greedy, bloodthirsty Democrats.
Every time you see a premature black baby in a shoebox-size coffin or at risk for cerebral palsy or autism, you are seeing the work of the abortion lobby in funneling abortion mill profits to Democrats.

sorry Tara, parkay is like a drive-by shooting.
You will never get her to respond to a question like that. She posts her b.s. then speeds away without reading replys or anything else.
The best thing to do is scroll past (really nothing she posts is factually based anyway)
if you really want to see her ’sources’ here is where ‘parkay’ plagiarized her post from:

Where did you run into Cecil?
Ask him about the High in Trial trophy my dog won at his place that has a picture of his Border Collie on it!
“Quite a character. Good people.”
I agree! All our friends herd sheep!
======================================================
He bought some stuff we auctioned. I helped load it up. Said he raised border collies, so natch, ya know Hank, etc.. He told me about you, the boy and the trailer. Real people.
Make sure herdin’s all ya do:-)
Not EXACTLY true brian.
I got parky to respond to me once. Just once.
I think he managed “Ban all abortion!” all on his own. Such zeal misdirected in a lost cause. What a waste.
Speaking of wasted lost causes….
“How does it make you feel kfg to have a childish immature idiot that likes to issue, ridiculous challenges (I’m still chuckling over that one) like BlueJay calling himself a defending friend of yours.”
Interesting that you find your own abject humiliation amusing there bawks.
How do ya win a debate by not showing up?
You remind me of an old Robin Williams routing.
“This is the line of death. You cross it you die.
Ok this is the new line of death. You cross it you die.
Ok, knock on the door. F*(K it, I’m not coming out.”
You will lose.
well, I stand corrected BlueJay
:)
Jay, I’m always so glad to have you as my friend!
Poor friendless bigotbawks.
Oops! I hit post too soon.
I meant to add “pobrecito” :)
OK, farmgrrl, I looked here. Am I on the right track?
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=pobrecito
Yeah Linda. The second one applies to bigotbawks:)
Brian was the first one to use it here, but it tickled me so much, I say it all the time now.

A little flaw here Wallie-Joe…
$700 billion divided by 400 million people is $1,750 (one thousand seven hundred fifty) per person. Not $175,000(one hundred seventy five thousand) per person.
—————————————————-
Just a slight correction. According to the USCensus Clock there are actually a little over 300 million of us – not 400 million. Using 305 million that works out to roughly $2,295 for every man woman and child in America. For a family of 4 that would be about $9180.00 per family.
But remember Congress has been loose as a goose since the initial appropriation of 700 billion.
THey have given away billions more, and the treasury is fixing on asking for even more.
At some point, you will see some real money potential. But not to worry. I am certain the new democrat majority in congress w/Obama are going to fund another direct stimulus plan to throw some money at the people and keep us quiet after they bailed out the bankers, mortgage companies, and automakers.
It won’t do shet for the economy, and will add more debt to our children’s future. But it will make everyone feel good.
parkay: I’m intrigued by that Canadian study. Do you have any idea how FEW black people are in Canada from which to get a representative sampling? The biggest minority there are first nations people with about 1.7 percent of the total population. Canada has no abortion laws, it is recognized as a medical procedure which some(religious) hospitals can refuse to do, but the procedure is readily available without the stigma America places on the decision a woman makes with the advice of her doctor. So, what is this “targeted” thing anyway and how do abortions in another country within a minority too small to track end up as a fiscal contributon to the Democrats? Wow,that’s weird. The study does not fall in line with other findings,it collapses for want of validity.
good night; good luck; god bless —-
whatever you conceive god to be!!
blessings ALL!!!
blessings on Advent!!
so mote it be!!
MonkeyHawk, your statement about life beginning with a person’s first breath has some Biblical backing. Up until sometime in the 1950’s, some churches would not allow the burial of a still born baby on church property because they were following a particular Bible verse: “And God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.”
Many of those same churches now have decided that life begins at conception rather than at first breath. Ya pay’s your money and ya takes your choice! (Old saying–but I’m an old woman so it’s a match.)
No one, or at least very few, give a damn about aborted fetuses (feti?). It’s all about power and always has been.
