Jindal also was party to an "exorcism" a few years back.

That won't offend "The Base" of the Republic Party but it strikes me as weird. Just like the Moose-Dresser's anointment to protect her from witches. Just like Mitt Romney thinking the Garden of Eden was in Kansas City.

If I were Barack Obama I'd choose to worship in a wide variety of churches, synagogues, mosques and mega-media places. Unannounced. With Malia and Sasha on hand to let them understand the reality of worship and its inherent variety.

I want him to show up unexpected at St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC as much as I'd like to see him at a store-front mission in inner-city Cleveland. I want him to go to church at a freelance Baptist church in Moss Point, Mississippi and the Mormon Tabernacle.

It'd be a hoot if Barack, Michelle, Malia, and Sasha showed up unannounced at the Wasilla Ass. of God some Sunday morning. Just to drill home the point that, if you believe in a God it's all the same God!

At the same time, I'm looking forward to a President who stays home on Sunday to watch the Washington Redskins play the Chicago Bears.

Priorities, people. Priorities.

I was big time going to follow him as he is absolutely brilliant…but he is also a Creationist and has allowed the crazies at the Discovery groups to get their anti evolution nonsense into the Louisiana schools.

It is disheartening to see someone that brilliant go down the dirt road of mythical nonsense.
---

Jindal is a major major MAJOR elitist of the Punjabi Indian variety. This guy would have absolutely no problem telling anybody who'd give him five seconds, and who he calculates is below him, that it's his way or the highway.

Any Rhodes scholar who believes that force feeding creationism to Americans is ok because it's for our own good, as Jindal does, is elitist, dangerously wrong, and asking for major trouble right up front. He is looking at America, perceiving a deep need of the citizenry to have faith in God, and trying his best to meet that need. Minority rights? Screw 'em. What's best for the majority is what's best, period: that's Jindal's political philosophy in a nutshell.

News flash for Jindal. Leave that kind of crap to the evangelicals. Our government is supposed to get out, and stay out, of the god bidness.

If Bobby Jindal gets anywhere near the reins of federal power, then yall'd see ME start buying and burying weapons.

Au contraire mon frer Rox.

Only PART of the right have thrown Palin under the bus. And the part DEFENDING Palin seems to be made up of the more despicable of the cons.

It's civil war among the cons. Thus far there are at least 3 factions and that does not count the REAL kookaloons that voted for Ron Paul.

We may be seeing a Balkanization of the cons that will linger for MANY years. All the evidence is there.

   One can hope.

brian,

I've seen Jindal on Bill Maher. He was impressive. Very smart. Very articulate. The Right could do a LOT worse.

Now that the republicans have tossed Palin under the bus (she's busy dissing the media), maybe she can form her own party. :)

All of which it true, except one thing:

While Obama certainly won, and decisively so, the election just had fell something short of an "epic smashing."

This too shall pass.
