Sounds like Kansas City Star columnist Yael T. Abouhalkah has some pretty low expectations for Rep-elect Lynn Jenkins, R-Topeka. He called her interview with the Star’s editorial board “a disaster. She didn’t know what programs she wanted to cut, but continued to insist she naively would vote against any U.S. budget that wasn’t balanced. Let’s hope she gets some common sense when she gets to D.C.”

She’s in the Republican minority. My guess is she’ll be having difficulty finding ways to busy herself with all the free time she’ll have.
Why it, it’s just Palinesque.
Maggotpunk, you can’t shut your Marxist piehole, now can you? What did Nancy Boyda do for the 2nd District? Name me ONE accomplishment Boyda brought home for the 2nd. Once again, you are a maggot, punk. Just STFU. Now.
Oh wow someone forgot to take their Lithium this morning.
Gee, Kansas sends someone to Washington who doesn’t know squat.
That’s different how? The Kansas delegation has how much clout?
She’s a freshman republican from kansas. That’s one step above serving coffee in the new congress. How low can those expectations go?
And tiahrt will be the head waiter…
Do you suppose the name “Palin” will be incorporated into the language somehow?
There is no pleasing the lib news. They are always out to stir up emotions and looking for gotcha’s.

Funny. I could say the same thing about Fox.
Jenkins is a lightweight. That was noticed by Republicans in the area when she went to speak to them, and several I have talked to were disappointed in her after voting for her in the primary (although, considering the opposition, they didn’t want their votes back). However, Boyda wasn’t really much weightier, and Ryun was both a lightwight and a reflexive Christian Right Winger (which is why he lost). Hopefully, Jenkins will learn on the job.

Even Fox News began to wake up to the fact about Joe the Plumber being a poster boy for stupid. I think Fox News will slowly begin to soften their style, if they want to compete for any market share other than the rabid Radical Right Wingers.
I would rather have Lynn Jenkins than Jim Ryun any day of the week and I am not even a Republican. Maybe Lynn Jenkins can teach the other Kansas Congressmen some manners and at least appear to be civilized.
Mom fox’s numbers are double that of MSNBC. They consistently pull many more than any of the other cable and network contenders. Why would they want to change. They have always been much more diverse than any of the other cable news shows. It is only the rabid left that doesn’t know this.
Check it out.
Boy that Joe the Plumber sure got under the lefts skin didn’t he. If a state agent went after a liberal in the same fashion that Ohio’s democratic crew went after him we would still be hearing the screams from the left not to mention the ACLU filing suit about the invasion of his privacy.
HEY RHONDA:
I don’t think the editorial board members of the Wichita Eagle & Kansas City Star should criticize any Kansas poltician for being irrelevant or a lightweight. Every one knows that the 2 McLatchey papers are losers in so many ways. Sure both papers are rapidly losing so much money & circulation tht they can not be sold, but both papers have lost their intellectual & ethical integrity for their failure to do even the most basic investigtive reporting about the most obvious local corruption. The Eagle is slowly becoming a ghost ship under the command of 2 incompetent women with a crew of eunachs who claim to be seasoned investigative reporters and narcisstic nepotistic elitist columnists and reproters who think that the published opinions and blogs actually influence their readers. Aside from covering local high school athletics, the only useful purpose of the Eagle is to deliver the adverstisements & flyers for Dillons, Target, Walmart & Kohls. The Eagle’s board has become such a joke with Rhonda & Phil left. Maybe you can co-star with Phil on his next video so Bucky will not have to dress in drag.
The bipartisan fascists in power in the political, government, legal, education, mental & social service establsihment should underestimate the power of free speech, inernet & YOUTUBE. Some one e-mailed me a link to a JFK speech about the important of the press to Democracy. I don’t expect Pam or Sherry to give a damn, but I hope that image conscious Carrie, Lori, Dale, Bonnie & even hubby Dick might eventually care about some more than the next Junior League event or fund raiser for some dysfunctional redundant non-profit agency in Wichita

Okie – Fox News ratings are falling – the only ones that don’t know that are the rabid Right that refuse to listen to anything else.
What I was referring to was the fact that even the Fox News anchor was beginning to question Joe the Plumber when he started rambling about the Israel issue.
As far as Joe the Plumber’s privacy being invaded, you might want to put the blame on John McCain for that one and Joe himself.
McCain should have asked Joe the Plumber if he wanted his name to become national news and McCain should have investigated Joe’s story further. When Joe the Plumber turned out to be an unlicensed plumber, had an issue of unpaid back taxes, this is what made him look stupid.
And Joe the Plumber did get under people’s skins – but it backfired big time. The only ones coming out looking like fools were John McCain, Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber. Even Joe the Plumber’s home state went for Obama – enough said!
mom you are so stupid. Next time you call a plumber, ask the guy that comes if he has a license. Chances are he doesn’t, but he will tell you that he doesn’t have to have one because his boss who owns the business does. Also, owing back taxes is not that uncommon for a variety of reasons. If you doubt me just look the next time your local paper publishes the list of delinquent taxes which they do a couple of times a year.
Here’s another news flash for you while were at it. Most real conservatives don’t spend a whole lot of time watching Fox News. Most of us don’t have the time because we are busy attending our kids school or sporting events or civic clubs, or Church activities. In other words we have a life beyond politics and blogging. I must confess we have enjoyed tweaking you Libs over the past few years as the ratings for most of Fox News prime time shows have swamped their liberal counterparts, but that doesn’t mean we live and die by how Fox News does like you people do with Keith Overbite and Chris Matthews. If Fox News’s ratings have been dropping of late, and I don’t doubt that they have, its because they have become too concerned with being fair and balanced and forgot what got them on top in the first place.

She sponsored legislation that removed Congresspeople, who were convicted of federal crimes, from receiving their pensions.
She also sponsored legislation that would no longer require mothballed airplanes from having the engine fluids replaced yearly saving the taxpayer a million dollars a year.
That’s two, do you need more? Nah, you just asked for one and proved you don’t know what you are talking about.
I had dealings with Treasurer Lynn Jenkins, CPA. She knows how to make government work and I was pleased with how I was treated.
However, I read during the campaign that she is pretty much a “free-market purist”. If we haven’t had enough of that nonsense, I am not sure what it will take.
