Sarah Palin hurt John McCain with independent and moderate voters, but she is correct that the campaign’s bigger problems were the economic downturn and leadership failures by the GOP and President Bush. “I think the Republican ticket represented too much of the status quo,” she said, “too much of what had gone on in these last eight years, that Americans were kind of shaking their heads like going, wait a minute, how did we run up a $10 trillion debt in a Republican administration? How have there been blunders with war strategy under a Republican administration? If we’re talking change, we want to get far away from what it was that the present administration represented and that is to a great degree what the Republican Party at the time had been representing.” As for her future plans, Palin said: “If there is an open door in ‘12 or four years later, and if it is something that is going to be good for my family, for my state, for my nation, an opportunity for me, then I’ll plow through that door.”

EDITORS: The election is over!
McCain lost, no more need to bash McCain, Palin, and Joe.
If it has to be good for her state and the nation, might as well give it up.

THere is nothing here that can really be disagreed with, especially by those who opposed McCain/Palin. They used these same talking points nearly every day.
Why does the Moose-Dresser’s “Open Door” phraseology sound suspiciously like another one of those crypto-evangelical dog-whistle code words they like the bandy about?
Like when Huckabee kept talking about his “vertical approach” to government (which meant he wasn’t concerned with earthly (horizontal) things as much as he was with “vertical” (i.e., heaven) issues.
Like when Shrub (of all people) pulled Dred Scott out of his butt in the 2000 debates. All the evangelicals knew Dred Scott was code for his advocating illegal abortion.
Code words… Code phrases… Secret codes…
Paranoia will destroy ya…
One glass of koolaid per person, per day. Gonna have to write you a ticket soon…

ANTI,
What is there for the Editors to do? They won’t attack their golden boy Obama or their chosen ones the Democrats.
We will probably be hearing about Palin and Joe for sometime now. At least until they find another Republican target to go after.
Perhaps it is time for another Tiahrt amendment thread. I am sure we could use about one of those a week now. Until it is gotten rid of by the Democrats.
You start with the same old tired premise that Palin was a drag on the ticket. Wrong, wrong, wrong. If anything it was McCain that was the drag on the ticket. Sarah Palin was the biggest breath of fresh air to come along in a long time. Her future is bright whether she stays in politics or not. The current effort by the moderate republicans to destroy her are because they fear her and what she may mean for the party in the future. She is a real and genuine person, unlike those Washington insiders who have forgotten what it means to be one.
Must be nice to be a liberal weenie right now and have the “money is God” moderate republicans doing your dirty work for you. Here’s a news flash for you though. It ain’t going to work. In a little while the American people will wake up to what a huge mistake they made last week and will look for someone to save this Country. Sarah “Barracuda” will have her day.
70% think Obama will revive the economy. Those numbers are about inverse for bush!

Nathaniel,
You are correct. I guess I will just watch the WE slowly slip into bankruptcy.
So, who’s next on the chopping block, Rhonda or Phillip?
70% think Obama will revive the economy.
LMFAO… Tell these people…

Since the markets operate off of expectations and confidence, I think they will start to show recovery shortly before Obama takes office.
That looks like the current market status.

I’m still hoping GM will market one in 2010.

I know McCain / Palin supporters aren’t interested (in even clicking on a Salon link!), but some will find this analysis a good read.
I think they are definitely headed in the RIGHT direction by pandering more to “the base.” Never mind that the numbers are in the center — move RIGHT, way RIGHT! ;-)
———–
“Nov. 11, 2008 | Surveying the wreckage after American voters gave their party the bum’s rush, Republican thinkers have pondered what went wrong, searched their souls — and decided that the way to regain power is to move further to the right.
Predictably taking the hardest line were the braying tribunes of the right-wing plebs, Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter. The McCain-detesting Coulter wrote, “The only good thing about McCain is that he gave us a genuine conservative, Sarah Palin. He’s like one of those insects that lives just long enough to reproduce so that the species can survive. That’s why a lot of us are referring to Sarah as ‘The One’ these days. Like Sarah Connor in ‘The Terminator,’ Sarah Palin is destined to give birth to a new movement.”
Limbaugh managed to refrain from comparing McCain to an insect, but he joined Coulter in anointing Palin the future queen of the Republican Party. Noting that a Rasmussen poll showed that 69 percent of GOP voters love Palin, Limbaugh sneered, “So all of you wizards of smart on our side, all of you intellectualoids who think that Palin was a drag, the party loves Sarah Palin. The vast majority of conservative Republicans love Sarah Palin. Twenty percent of Republicans who say she hurt the ticket, you are probably the ones that need to go and walk and join across the aisle with the others that you find so much more palatable because they are able to communicate and they are writers and they are intellectual … The party loves her.”

Does that answer your question Sol? Perhaps a year from now is GM follows through.

Pelosi is not expected to specify how large a bailout she wants. The aides who described her views Tuesday did so on condition of anonymity, saying they were not authorized to discuss it publicly.

I like that idea! That’s even better than Palin! I think I could contribute money even…
Let em fail. They knew what was coming. They didn’t do enough about it. Let the officers take a pay cut. Get rid of the unions. They can bail themselves out.
A Rush/Coulter ticket. Humm. Go ahead. That would be a riot.
Maybe they could draft Spirit One’s Mark Hulick as Secretary of Religious Affairs and give him the power to convert everybody to his wacko ideas or die. He could put Fred and Margie in charge of carrying it out.

The GOP’s problem is that the past 8 years have conclusively disproven every positive myth of GOP governance, whether it’s valuing hard work, cherishing the family, respecting the individual’s rights, honoring the diligent entrepreneur, efficient administration, fiscal discipline, limited government, or strong national defense.
Some might argue the latter was produced, but in fact Bush has made us far less safe. Reagan got away with many of the same sins as Bush, but only because the other party narrowly controlled the House.
In the next 4-8 years we may see some of the “warts” of Democratic governance, but it will still be good to be able to compare the reality to the over-the-top distortions we have seen during conservative Republican rule.
P.S. I might add, considering the day, “honoring vets.”

I don’t think anyone ever said “give”. As for Ford and Toyota let them enter the marketplace. In fact, I think Toyota is closer than GM right now.
“the party loves Sarah Palin.”
The cons are too willfully stupid to see that THAT is exactly the problem. “The party” in this sense being some faction of a minority.
So the Limburger thinks Sarah is the next prez. I’m thinkin’ he wants her to divorce Toddy so he can make her his, what, fourth, fifth short term bride? Real American hero, that one.
What I read from a news report was that Palin said she would be willing to run for higher office if it is ‘God’s will’. And exactly whose God is she referring to? Her own special God that the Radical Right wants to shove down everyone’s throat?
That is exactly why Sarah Palin was rejected by the moderates in BOTH parties.
As for the premise that John McCain was the drag on the GOP ticket is really hilarious. The ONLY way the GOP had any hope of winning the White House (due to Bush and Cheney’s dismal two terms), was for a Republican to be the ‘maverick’ and ‘not one of them’.
But then McCain chose Palin as his VP (thinking she would get the Hillary voters) and it backfired big time. And why – because she is a religious nutjob that says anything and everyhthing to push her way into the spotlight.
I think the majority of American voters have spoken quite loudly they are fed up with the so-called Religious Right’s values and hypocrisy.
The Religious Righites are arrogant though and I’m sure they think that their leaders Rush and Ann Coulter will be able to change everyone’s mind – even if it takes beating everyone over the head with their ‘God’.
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/president/
Obama beat McCain by 8 million votes.
He beat Bush’s total from 2004 by 4 million votes.
Well Mom why don’t you just substitute political advisor for God’s will and then you narrow minded people can get on with your lifes and let her get on with hers. Everyone gets advise from someone. She just has a different advisor that you do. But that is her right isn’t it?
mom – agreed. McCain “beat the spread” and out-performed the Republic brand. As Palin noted “too much of what had gone on in these last eight years, that Americans were kind of shaking their heads like going, wait a minute, how did we run up a $10 trillion debt in a Republican administration? How have there been blunders with war strategy under a Republican administration?”
The biggest drag on the McCain/Palin ticket was Bush/Cheney.
Ben I would agree with you on that one but to say I agree with Mom would be stretching it. What is with the left? Do all Christian have to deny their God to make the left move on and feel like they are all right with the world.
Your party screams for personal liberties but on a daily basis have to put down the right for saying something as innocent as ‘if it is God’s will’.
We are supposed to over look our aversion to late term abortion, give up our arguments against same sex marriage for whatever reason and now we can’t even look for ‘Gods will’ in our lifes.
As Palin noted “too much of what had gone on in these last eight years, that Americans were kind of shaking their heads like going, wait a minute, how did we run up a $10 trillion debt in a Republican administration?
But to thinking people the only surprise was just deeply in debt they put us.
“how” deeply in debt. Make more sense now?
we can’t even look for ‘Gods will’ in our lifes.
Sure you can. But it’s more than a little unsettling when someone suggests that God is taking a side on public policy issues.
bth,
Do consider though that McCane the Maverick spent the last few years bowing down in obeisance before the Bushco machine in order to get their vital endorsement. He did the same with the televangelists. In doing so, he gave up his image as a maverick and took on the mantle of party hack. People who were voting against Bush/Cheney and/or the RR voted against the one they endorsed too.
But I also think Obama managed to inspire a lot of people who didn’t feel empowered under the extreme right. He reached out to the voters that the ‘publican party had written off decades ago, added them to the disaffected moderates and won bigtime. Now he has to live up to the hope he inspired. He’s got his work cut out for him after the abuses we’ve endured for the last eight years. McCane only had to be marginally better than Bushco to succeed as a president. That standard won’t do anymore. Obama is going to have to unite a country divided like none since the civil war. It won’t be easy or quick, but it is possible and necessary if we are to fulfill our promise as a nation.
Wasn’t her and McCain winning the election dependent on “God’s will”? Judging from the electoral and popular vote totals, her God doesn’t seem to think too highly of her.
…that Americans were kind of shaking their heads like going, wait a minute…
So Sarah really IS a Valley Girl. And at the age of 44. What a hoot!
jed – agreed, and that is what sank him.
“We are supposed to over look our aversion to late term abortion, ”
No one telling you what to have an aversion to.
“give up our arguments against same sex marriage for whatever reason ”
How about that it isn’t any of your business and is only hurtful to you by your own nose trouble.
“now we can’t even look for ‘Gods will’ in our lifes.”
SURE you can. Just dial back on trying to tell other people what “God’s will” is unless you can get first hand say so.
I’VE heard that Palin refused to stand on stage with Congressmen who were Republican but not “pro life”.
She has a very limited political future. She is not terribly bright OR curious. AND she suffers the seeming delusion that she is running for some sort of monarchy.
“give up our arguments against same sex marriage for whatever reason ”
“now we can’t even look for ‘Gods will’ in our lifes.”
How about this: In YOUR church and in YOUR life you may define marriage any way you wish. Perhaps your church will choose not to sanctify marriage involving divorced people. That is fine with me. However, should you be able to impose your definitions on others.
Blowhard have you been reading the National Enquirer again? Where do you come up with this stuff. I heard – Is that a source?
So Ben in the city square only the libs have a voice but in those poor pathetic Christian lives we should go in our closet and have our lives.
What about the rioters in SF that took the ladies cross and stomped on it? It that alright with you after all that poor man just wanted to marry his lover and that 82 year old woman was raining on his parade. Is there any action of a lib that is detestible.
Frankly I get a little tired of the left always telling the right what they can and can’t do. If Sarah Palin wants to square her decision with “her God” then why is that in of yours or Mom’ or BJ’s business.
If I sound a little ticked it is because I am. BJ says get out of Wellstones seat well I say get out of Palins religious life. It is hers. She can say what she wants about it. If this hurts her political life – I’m sure she will say so be it.
Sorry Hank and Anti I had a brain fade today and thought the left would get off of their soapboxes. They didn’t.
“I say get out of Palins religious life. ”
I could not care LESS about Palin’s religious life.
UNTIL
She starts deciding what is right for others based on her religious beliefs. Then her and her beliefs are fair game.
Also? When the cons make Barack Obama’s pastor some sort of opportunity target, I’m obliged to ask for a look at who Palin gets her churching from.
So Ben in the city square only the libs have a voice but in those poor pathetic Christian lives we should go in our closet and have our lives.
There are in fact are plenty of Christian politicians who public acknowledge their faith and the way in which it influences them. Obama is one of them. It is one thing for Palin to look to God for guidance in decision, but she has a history associating causes she supports with God’s will, as if a political victory is proof of God being on her side.
I understand that in many communities Christian politicians used their positions to govern others under the terms of their faith. That, thankfully, is less possible these days.
Amazingly, some see that diminution of power over others as persecution, and no example shows it more starkly than the gay marriage debate.
“but in those poor pathetic Christian lives we should go in our closet and have our lives.”
Jesus DID say to pray in a closet. If you want to put that fine a point on it.
BJ she gets her churching straight from God Almighty. Do you have any evidence to the contrary. When she wants input on making a decision and prays about it how in the world can that be construed to be any of your business. You question her intelligence and abilities and look at who and what you are. Pitiful.
—————-
And Rage why don’t you show me one fact to back up the assertion ‘but she has a history associating causes she supports with God’s will’.
The riots in SF right now tell me that the will of the people isn’t important at all – it is the will of ’some people’. They need to pack it up and go home. They lost. Twice. Sometimes in this life we don’t get what we want. I wanted to win the lottery and didn’t.
Bluejay when I get desperate enough to need your lame interpretation of the Bible I will ask for it. Until then stick with giving advise to your friends or son because I don’t need it.
BlueJay taunts….
SOME bodies craaaaa nnnkyyy.
Just sick of the hipocricy of the left today.
“BJ she gets her churching straight from God Almighty. Do you have any evidence to the contrary. ”
Not anymore than she or you have to prove otherwise.
Hey if she thinks she should never have an abortion even if she is raped because God tells her so fine. If there are books she thinks God does not want her to read, also fine.
But lil’ Sarah showed signs of playing God’s agent. SHE may think THAT is God’s will too.
I’ll oblige God to weigh in personal.
And Rage why don’t you show me one fact to back up the assertion ‘but she has a history associating causes she supports with God’s will’.

Analysis by the dems on why the republicans failed. Doesn’t sound very constructive to me.
Really it’s a waste of time. This nation is just about 50-50 split between the two parties. Republicans, it turns out, did vote republican. No great changes or surprises.
The independents and a few republicans who didn’t vote is all it takes to win (or loose) an election.
Next time it will be the democrats turn, after they royally screw things up – or fail to produce the promise of “change” and great life improvements.
BJ she gets her churching straight from God Almighty.
I didn’t realize Larry Kroon was God.

Nobody picked me to be their vice Presidential running mate. Though I dare say I am NEARLY as good a choice as Sarah Palin. Certainly I know that Africa is a continent.
For eight months in this forum I asked CONs and Republic Party faithful their reason(s) for voting for John S (for Senile) McCain the Third (for Shrub’s 3rd term).
I can’t remember ever getting an answer.
Oh, we had pages and volume (especially volume) about why voting for Barack Obama would spur Armageddon, the Tribulation, the Apocalypse, the Rapture, and the revival of Britney Spears career. But no one had a reason to vote for the top of the ticket.
Turns out the McCain Campaign argued that question from the moment he won the primaries. And they never came up with a reason.
Monkey I personally answered your frequent requests 3 times. Each time I reminded you it was a rerun. Each time you followed it up with a post like the above that no conservative answered you.
I don’t know how old you are but if you are to young to be senile I would reccomend a medical checkup. I think you have a serious problem.

Because I actually chided Anti and Hank for some remarks they made about Michelle Obama because you asked what I thought of it. Definitely it was a brain fade or I would have considered where the question was coming from and discounted the source.
‘Palin says election result rests in God’s hands‘
http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5gOk9t_aHv9C5h0pxR6KbVY11gUlQD93VMJL81
Dobson asked whether Palin was discouraged by polls showing the GOP ticket behind.
“To me, it motivates us, makes us work that much harder,” Palin said. “And it also strengthens my faith, because I’m going to know, at the end of the day, putting this in God’s hands, that the right thing for America will be done at the end of the day on Nov. 4. So I’m not discouraged at all.”
…
“It is that intercession that is so needed and so greatly appreciated,” Palin told Dobson. “And I can feel it too, Dr. Dobson. I can feel the power of prayer, and that strength that is provided through our prayer warriors across this nation.”
She continued: “When we hear along the rope lines that people are interceding for us and praying for us, it’s our reminder to do the same, to put this all in God’s hands, to seek his perfect will for this nation, and to of course seek his wisdom and guidance in putting this nation back on the right track.”
…
Palin said the campaign had to have faith that its message will be heard “minus the filter of the mainstream media.”
“That filter has to be erased,” she said. “So we have to have faith in the wisdom of the people that they’ll understand what our message is. But even bigger that then, I have to have that faith that God is going to help us get that message out there.”

“Besides the fact that there is no agreement to build the pipeline and it’s not a $40 billion project, Palin’s work on the pipeline would hardly make her “one of the foremost experts” on energy in the country.”
McCain Touts ‘Energy Expert’ Palin’s Credentials By Falsely Claiming She Delivered A Gas Pipeline‘
http://thinkprogress.org/2008/10/09/mccain-palin-pipeline/
“But Palin has asked Alaskans to pray for the pipeline to be built, which is perhaps what the McCain-Palin campaign website means when it says that “work has begun on a $40 billion natural gas pipeline.”
‘Palin says election result rests in God’s hands‘
So apparently God favored Obama (that’s the logical conclusion, anyway).

So Ben in the city square only the libs have a voice but in those poor pathetic Christian lives we should go in our closet and have our lives.
What about the rioters in SF that took the ladies cross and stomped on it?’
Where did I ever say that? I didn’t. As for the cross I don’t know – I didn’t see the incident. Did she instigate it? I don’t know and I doubt that you do either.
“It that alright with you after all that poor man just wanted to marry his lover and that 82 year old woman was raining on his parade. Is there any action of a lib that is detestible.”
Did she crash the affair? Did she confront the couple? I don’t know. If she DID instigate things then perhaps she bears responsibility. If she was being peaceful and minding her own business and was attacked then the attackers should be prosecuted.
okob – show me where I support attacking Christians such as my Catholic wife or son. Show me where I say that I should be arrested for attending Midnight Mass Christmas Eve.
No Blowhard I can just tune you out or use you for comic relief. As for Cosmos I am glad that he has found some way to entertain himself until the earth starts to warm again.
okie if you got anymore “amused” you’d be shorting out your keyboard.
Oh, this is new for the WE Blog – BEATING A DEAD HORSE.
Can we get a special daily section for BEATING PALIN, PLEASE???
“How about this: In YOUR church and in YOUR life you may define marriage any way you wish. Perhaps your church will choose not to sanctify marriage involving divorced people. That is fine with me. However, should you be able to impose your definitions on others.”
Well Ben I do take this personally because it sure sounded that I could do what I wanted to do in private but don’t even attempt to show my deeply beliefs in public.
I saw the lady in question pushed and shoved. The cross pulled out of her hand and stomped on. I saw this man and others refuse to let her be interviewed or for news reporters there to talk.
Well you know how you feel when pro life people demonstrate. Well why should you and yours be the only group of people who get to decide whether that child can live or die. You state your opinions. Our side says what about the childs rights. The public isn’t allowed to vote against same sex marriage without these demonstrations.
Do you think they have changed the mind of one person who voted against SSM. I would seriously doubt it. But what really ticks me off is libs objecting to Sarah Palin seeking God’s will in her life. How presumptious of the left to say stay in MY church and make decision for MY life.
Ben the people voted twice. They voted no. I am one woman in Kansas. I had nothing to do with that vote. So what are you really saying here. Until this SSM is approved expect to see demonstrations. But dont say you will look for Gods will in your life.
Please don’t tell me you don’t see the hipocricy here.
Can we get a special daily section for BEATING PALIN, PLEASE???
Ah, another B&D fan!
Well blowhard I have to admit you are pretty funny and even more pathetic.
But what really ticks me off is libs objecting to Sarah Palin seeking God’s will in her life.
Funny, I haven’t seen that. Can you link to where someone said that?
THIS may be the most self illustrative post the rather dull okobserver has ever made.
Drum roll and warm up the hypocrisy section…
“How presumptious of the left to say stay in MY church and make decision for MY life.”
You’ve got nose trouble at BOTH ends.
Follow blowhards posts. I don’t have time to do all of your homework.
As for the demostrations Rage well what little sympathy that movement had it has lost. I say arrest the whole bunch. Their parents should have taught them early on that sometimes the answer is ‘no’.
okob – since I was not there I cannot really address what happened. You indicated that she somehow appeared at a couples celebration – was she uninvited? I don’t know. If someone had shown up at my wedding reception protesting that a Catholic should not be allowed to marry a Protestant I probably would not have been very friendly toward that person.
There may be churches that would oppose such a mixed marriage. That is fine with me. But they are not welcome at my wedding reception.
Is that what that woman did? I don’t know; I wasn;t there. Since you were there I guess you do know. Did this happen at the couple’s celebration? Or was she peacefully walking down the street and was attacked for having a cross? I doubt it – but if so the attacker should be prosecuted for battery.
I’m old enough to remember laws prohibiting inter-racial marriage as being “against God.” After all, such laws did not prevent blacks from marrying blacks so I guess they were OK. Not in my book. The left-wing communist activist Courts overturned those laws that good God-fearing Jim Crow southerners enacted.
If the shoe fits you biggoted blowhard. Bigotry works in both directions and buddy you are full of it.
Hey okie?
Stay in your church and make decisions in your own life.
Kindly afford others the same?
“make decision for MY life.”
I think the point in that is that you should be free to make decisions for you and I should be allowed to make decisions for ME. I do not rule your life; you should not expect to rule mine.
Ben I don’t rememnber anything at a couples celebration. What I saw was a demonstration of the outraged at the Saddleback church. She was trying to get inside the church.
Don’t know where you got that other information but not from me.
okie?
If your church tells you to get naked in the airport?
I don’t care.
I’ll take the bus, but have at it.
okobserver: Can’t you appear the least bit miserable? Or at least inconvenienced? Something, anything to give poor BJ the idea that your happiness is dependent upon the things of this world, and could be affected by an election?
Did the couple then ‘crash’ the church? You made reference to a couple – like I said, I wasn;t there so am relying on fourth-hand information.
Precisely Ben, my life my decisions. Where would we be today if those who felt slavery was wrong hadn’t put their nose into somewhere it wasn’t wanted?
What I am saying about this vote is that the people voted. They don’t want SSM. Twice.
There are disagreements over many postions and abortion and SSM are two of the most visible. It’s ok for babies to be killed but not ok to deny marriage to same sex individuals. That is how some people view abortion.
The law of the land changed. Abortion is now legal. Should the prolife people riot in the streets. No because they would be arrested and charged under the RICO laws.
Liberals once again dictating how the world should be run.
I must be missing something outlander.
Okie is hardly coming across as suzy sunshine.
She’s cranked because GASP! someone DARES to question her or Sarah Palin telling others how to live!
The NERVE!
Outlander I don’t think BJ would be happy if every planet in his world lined up. He is only happy when unhappy. I feel such pity for his son.
Ben I don’t remember anything about a couple. Maybe I said a couple of men were shoving this lady. Don’t know.
“What I am saying about this vote is that the people voted”
So, if people in a nice Jim Crow state voted to prohibit inter-racial marriage that is OK. I understand now.
Hmmm… What I saw was folks berating Sarah for mentioning, gasp, God’s will for her life.
That’s OK, I encourage that type of stuff. It will help bring Republicans together. So likely will Obama’s first 100 days.
“that poor man just wanted to marry his lover ”
I guess that is why I thought there was a couple …
Au contraire, I’m having a ball.
Blowing up self righteous hypocrite bullies is my indulgent passion.
Well,
WHILE okie got her support hose in a twist.
She ALSO got her posters mixed up.
I don’t CARE if Sarah Palin thinks she hears God’s voice in her life.
I just won’t take her word for anything she says HE said as regards anyone or anything but Sarah Palin.
Ben why does the left keep bringing in other things in the past. Obviously the Jim Crow laws were wrong. They were overturned. This situation might play out the same way I have no way of knowing. To me they are two seperate issues. Not related. The definition of marriage was then and has always been one man and one woman.
Sorry if we don’t agree on this. I think these demonstrators should be treated with the same contempt the pro life demonstrators were. They have no more right to go on private property, demonstrate in a state courthouse or harrass private citizens than the prolifers had.
The two standards viewed by the left are very obvious today.
BJ when somkething objectionable is said 99% of the time you said it so I will just give you credit for it everytime.
SO
If a whole LOT of people, many of them with no personal investment, think a law is wrong they should just shut up about it?
Congrats okie. Send you back in time and there is never an American revolution.
FWIW, I got this in my email tonight:
The shameful, false and ugly attacks against the great Gov. Sarah Palin continue, and she is now speaking out, defending herself, and fighting back – but she needs our support!
The Our Country Deserves Better Committee will be producing a pro-Palin TV ad during the next week that features Americans thanking Sarah Palin for her efforts as a public servant, her enthusiastic promotion of conservative principles, and the grace and dignity with which she conducted herself during the campaign — even as she faced daily attacks from the media, Barack Obama’s campaign, and many in the Washington political establishment.
We need your help to pay for the production and broadcast airtime of this new “Thank You Sarah Palin” ad which will run on television in the days leading up to Thanksgiving.
You can donate anywhere from $5 to $5,000 online – HERE.
The Our Country Deserves Better Committee has been one of the nation’s leading pro-Palin organization this election season.
“BJ when somkething objectionable is said 99% of the time you said it so I will just give you credit for it everytime.”
Very in character for you.

————————-
The stupid words of BJ show him for the idiot he is.
Ben have to call it a night. Wish there was a better answer but I really get tired of the liberals telling everyone else how to live their lifes while patting themselves on the back telling us what good tolerant people they are.
“Obviously the Jim Crow laws were wrong. They were overturned.”
Yes – by COMMIE COURTS. IMPEACH EARL WARREN!
Why bring it up? Because of the parallels. They ARE related. The definition of marriage was between a man and a woman of the same race.
“I think these demonstrators should be treated with the same contempt the pro life demonstrators were. They have no more right to go on private property, demonstrate in a state courthouse or harrass private citizens than the prolifers had.”
On this we probably agree. As I clearly stated, if battery occurred it should be prosecuted. Did you miss that part?
I still say the solution is simple. Let your church define its religious sacraments as it sees fit. If that means only members of your church can get married there that is fine with me. However, when your church imposes its sacramental definitions upon others then it, just like those Christian churches down south with anti-miscegenation, are crossing into MY life. And it is not welcome there.
“telling everyone else how to live their lifes ”
I haven’t seen anyone telling you how to live. But I DO see you wanting to interfere with other peoples’ lives.
Good night – getting late – you’re right on that.

Not called BJ for no reason then.
That the truth hurts does not make me a mugger okie.
YOU are somebody’s grandmother and I can sit here cooly and calmly and without invective reduce you to little more than a petulant child having a tantrum.
Oh go away Jimmuh. I use a hammer.
YOU need a couch and a pharmacist.
Oh BJ, sounded to me like you just used your lips and fingers.
I’m glad you are able to swing a hammer. Hopefully someday, you can make a living pounding nails.
His meds having worn off, the blog will now be treated to the insane stylings of “Jim Johnson” aka “Regular” aka ad infinitum.
“GOP failures were bigger problem than Palin”
Not much. And she is the perfect poster child.
The cons have the problem that their ego or religion never allow that they could be wrong.
We can only hope that it is finally fatal.
