I hear you read this blog. So, if Rosa Parks is so dear to your heart, maybe you would chivalrously offer your seat to one of her spiritual descendants, and then you can stand for something besides politics as usual!

I don’t know what the Bureau of Standards measurement is for a “generation,” but it’s been a helluva half-century for America and it feels pretty good.

There was something viral showing up over the last month. It’s a bit saccharine for my taste but is still pretty profound:

“Rosa sat so Martin could march.
Martin marched so Barack could run.
Barack is running that we might fly.”

Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat in like when . . . 1961 or something.

A generation is 20 years.

It’s been two and a half generations since Rosa Parks.

Gee . . . it only took 57 years for the US to start to “rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed.”

We’ll see what Sam Brownback does when he is again in the Senate working with President Obama. Oh which way will he turn????

But I agree with Thomaswitt – Brownback is watching out for #1.

Please, Eagle, get a clue. Brownback is running for Kansas Governor in 2010, and he knows he needs a very strong performance in Johnson, Wyandotte and Douglass Counties. Take one look at the numbers at http://www.kssos.org/ent/kssos_ent.html and it’s easy to see why he’s pandering already.
