* It provides the opportunity to change states that are predominately one-party, instead of just ignoring them.

* If elected, the candidate has more citizens in all those states, who will support her/his policies. That can make an important difference in bills getting passed, etc. . .

I’d love to have Robert Reich at Labor again or perhaps as Treasury Secretary. He is an economist after all, but he seems pretty happy at Berkley.

Hillary needs to straighten the senate out before she goes to the supremes. I agree, this may have been her only shot at POTUS. If obama is a one termer, it will be because there will be a no democrat mood at work after all the bitter pills we’ll have to swallow to wipe up after bushco’s poopys on the floor and furniture.

Pelosi in the cabinet was mentioned in the comments. Personlly, I think both pelosi and reid need to “spend more time with their families”.
