"Yea, Boxlicker, I do…. I offer people a message of hope… And people, except for the likes of you and your kind, are EAGER to follow the Vision of HOPE…"
....the fake preacher Chas

Oh, and Chas just what "message of hope" do you offer? What is that hope based on? Where can your 'flock' derive it's hope from. From the Biblical GOD of Abraham, Isac and Jacob, or from a god conjured up in their own mind, a god made in man's image instead of the other way around, as you indicate every night, I quote, "whatver you conceive god to be…".
Please explain these things for me and us all.
If you have a message of hope please share it here, I'm sure we are all interested.

Editor in Chief, The National Review
A Conservative for Obama by Wick Allison.

My party has slipped its moorings. It's time for a true pragmatist to lead the country.

THE MORE I LISTEN TO AND READ ABOUT "the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate," the more I like him. Barack Obama strikes a chord with
me like no political figure since Ronald Reagan. To explain why, I need to explain why I am a conservative and what it means to me.

In 1964, at the age of 16, I organized the Dallas County Youth for Goldwater. My senior thesis at the University of Texas was on the conservative intellectual revival in America. Twenty years
later, I was invited by William F. Buckley Jr. to join the board of National Review. I later became its publisher.

Conservatism to me is less a political philosophy than a stance, a recognition of the fallibility of man and of man's institutions. Conservatives respect the past not for its antiquity but because it represents, as G.K. Chesterton said, the democracy of the dead; it gives the benefit of the doubt to customs and laws tried and tested in the crucible of time. Conservatives are skeptical of abstract theories and utopian schemes, doubtful that government is wiser than its citizens, and always ready to test any political program against actual results.

Liberalism always seemed to me to be a system of "oughts." We ought to do this or that because it's the right thing to do, regardless of whether it works or not. It is a doctrine based on intentions, not results, on feeling good rather than doing good.

But today it is so-called conservatives who are cemented to political programs when they clearly don't work. The Bush tax cuts-a solution for which there was no real problem and which he refused to end even when the nation went to war-led to huge deficit spending and a $3trillion growth in the federal debt. Facing this, John McCain pumps his conservative" credentials by proposing even bigger tax cuts. Meanwhile, a movement that once fought for limited government has presided over the greatest growth of government in our history. That is not conservatism; it is profligacy using conservatism as a mask.

Today it is conservatives, not liberals, who talk with alarming bellicosity about making the world "safe for democracy." It is John McCain who says America's job is to "defeat evil," a theological expansion of the nation's mission that would make George Washington cough out his wooden teeth.

This kind of conservatism, which is not conservative at all, has produced financial mismanagement, the waste of human lives, the loss of moral authority, and the wreckage of our economy that McCain now threatens to make worse.

Barack Obama is not my ideal candidate for president. (In fact, I made the maximum donation to John McCain during the primaries, when there was still hope he might come to his senses.) But I now see that Obama is almost the ideal candidate for this moment in American history. I disagree with him on many issues. But those don't matter as much as what Obama offers, which is a deeply conservative view of the world. Nobody can read Obama's books (which, it is worth noting, he wrote himself) or listen to him speak without realizing that this is a thoughtful, pragmatic, and prudent man. It gives me comfort just to think that after eight years of George W. Bush we will have a president who has actually read the Federalist Papers.

Most important, Obama will be a realist. I doubt he will taunt Russia, as McCain has, at the very moment when our national interest requires it an ally. the crucial distinction in my mind is that, unlike John McCain, I am convinced he will hot impulsively take us into another war unless American national interests are directly threatened.

"Every great cause," Eric Hoffer wrote, "begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket." As a cause, conservatism may be dead. But as a stance, as a way of making judgments in a complex and difficult world. I believe it is very much alive in the instincts and predispositions of a liberal named Barack Obama.

It seems that a recent new representative of the Republican Party "<b>family values</b>" has left the WE Blog after only a few short hours of posting.

A repost, in her memory. . .

How does your goodbye greeting go Chas?

Something like this:

Good night.
Good luck.
God bless.
And may you all
get <b>f*cked</b>.

And may you wear out
more <b>p*ssy</b> then hand.

And HANK weighed in under "HD"

We don't hear enough from hank as the right sinks.

"BlueJay and his like are not willing to work as hard as you describe, but he wants what you have earned. Sick!"

But you and roach do not work Boxlock. Well, you don't make anything anyway. And no I am not willing to suck off the labor of others for my living as YOU do. I make my own way WHILE helping others.

It is a great time in America. Maybe the best time I have known in my life.

America is ready and willing to embrace new ideas and challenges. No it WON'T come without some pain but nothing worthy ever does. This will be hard on the rich to get richer folk. But who cares about them anyway?

I almost forgot ---- It is nearing the time of the great Fall Festival, of the Feast of All Saints, the day after All Hallows Eve....

Let all prepare for the feast by gathering fall produce, and baking goods... For the Pastafarians, this means getting ready to prepare the spaghetti squash; and make ready a fine fall tomato sauce, flavored with your choice of flavorings.... meat; spices; cheeses; etc., etc.

Happy Holidays!!

RoaCH,
We need to simply face it, BlueJay and his like are <b>not willing to work as hard as you describe, but he wants what you have earned. Sick!</b>

Wanting to achieve is a habit with me by now, I worked full time and went to school at the same time until I was about crazy. But I've gotten pretty much where I wanted to go. Not real far for myself, but my kids are both Master educated, one a structural engineer with an MBA, and the other a Physician's Assistant Instructor with a Masters. That's what I wanted to be able to provide. They did the work, I paid tuition and books and living expenses during their undergraduate time.
We are wasting our time...they seem unable to even comprehend.

I get it Boxlock.

Your concern for your fellow man hinges on your own personal wealth.

YOU first.

See? It's right there.

"There are peers and coworkers, and some who work on my staff - for me. "

PRIDE in personal authority over someone else and their labor.

"But I never looked up or looked down at other workers the way you do."

   Uh yeah. You just...did.

Hey Reverend holiness Chas!

Is it getting close to your annual Christmas Tidings and rant? About time to start posting daily how "busy you are" with church and getting the place ready for all those Christmas services.

About time for you to start preaching to us all on the wonders of Christmas, how holy it is, and how wonderful you feel at that time of the year.

In other words, about time for you to put on your plastic face and fac your way through the holidays.

Pretending to praise the birth of Jesus Christ, but blog everynight spitting hate, evil, name-calling, and profanity.

Is that the Chas we all remember?

Liar. YOu are no priest.

BlueJay says:
But I bet you enjoy benefits off the labor of others, don’t you?

Where does this kind of thinking come from? Were you put in chains and whipped as a young child on some awful production line?

Golly gee BlueJay, I studied hard in school, paid my own way through college, got an entry level job in my profession and earned a reputation as a hard worker and became highly skilled at what I do.

I make very good money (I am thankful for that), and have raised my children to be contributing and independent self-sufficient adults.

I never looked at my employer as "the man" or the "bad guy" or the "evil corporation" out to work me to death.

I was just damn glad I got jobs and earned respect, and advancement.

There are peers and coworkers, and some who work on my staff - for me. But I never looked up or looked down at other workers the way you do.

What causes that?

"boxlicker is most to be pitied… he finally says straight forward, he cares nothing about himself, and his own personal wealth!!"

I can't even follow that gibberish.

Chas, a begger has very little to give to anyone, and had never offered a job to anyone.

Notice how the fake preacher had now reverted to using profane language...."boxlicker".
<b>I've WON!!!</b>

Oh, and Chas, I call you by your chosen nic, calling you a fake preacher is a description and a truism.
