Gary Sebelius was first ‘first dude’

Much has been made of Todd Palin’s use of the title of “first dude” of Alaska. But Kansans heard it first, as Palin recently acknowledged on Fox News in crediting “the gentleman from Kansas who’s a judge” with coining the title. U.S. Magistrate Judge Gary Sebelius (in photo) told the Kansas City Star: “‘First gentleman’ just sounded a little too stilted for me. . . . I had a talk with Todd shortly after (Sarah) was elected when we were at one of the first spouse (conventions), and I suggested he may want to consider being the first dude of Alaska.”

    Rhonda, thank you for taking time to publish leads for our possible discussion. I’m sorry that you seem to always be criticized, and there is no way to avoid that since sides have been chosen and there will be no mercy. It would be too much of an adult reaction to merely post our opinion on topics that interest us while not participating in those that don’t. Guess criticizing your choice of thread headers is an opinion.

    I like trivia. Our state governor’s husband suggesting the “first dude” handle to the couple much in today’s news is an interesting bit of trivia.

    This dude looks sorta like John Goodman, except without any of the lumberjack qualities.

    Gary (or is it jay-ree) has all the classic symptoms and characteristics of the Nerd.

    I’ll bet had they panned out with the photo, we would see the pocket protector full of ball point pens and a straight edge.
