Clinton wants right woman to break ceiling

Democrat Hillary Clinton is credited with putting 18 million cracks in the glass ceiling of the U.S. presidency, but she isn’t ready to credit Republican Sarah Palin for finishing the job. “Really, no one will shatter that ceiling until we have a woman serving as president or vice president,” Clinton told CNN. And though it’s exciting to see a woman on the GOP ticket, she said, “I would like to see the very first woman in the White House who I agree with and who I think has policies that would really fulfill the goals that I have for our country.”

Well at least Hillary is honest about her ambitions. Something we don’t see often in politicians. Still don’t agree with her politics though.

Sad that the only woman the Repubs want to be VP is someone who believes Putin regularly invades our airspace and suggested military action against Russia, lies blatantly about her actions (”I said “THANKS, BUT NO THANKS” to the bridge to nowhere), and thinks her foreign policy experience is adequate because her state borders Canada and Russia.
With all the competant women politicians, surely we can do better than her.

I think that statement can be made by anyone Republican/Democrat replacing “the very first woman” with “a President”.

Obviously that’s the problem. Republicans and Democrats have vastly different goals. The battle over ideology will not be over until Obama and the Democrats win all three branches of government. Even then its only a temporary win as witnessed by the soon to be over 12 years of Republican rule.

I don’t know that Republicans and Democrates have “vastly differnt” goals…I think most people just want decent jobs to support their families, access to quality and affordable heatlhcare and education, world peace, personal freedom to live as we want, and a safe and efficent infrastructure. Maybe we differ on how to achieve these gaols…but we basically all want the same thing.

A woman incapable of representing herself will never be my role model. Palin has done nothing more than actresses do daily — read lines. When she doesn’t have well-practiced talking points or lines to read she is a total airhead.

Palin may be a star someday, but she has some work to do.

Those who say she is ready, qualified, prepared today to fill the position she is (NOT) interviewing for expect little evidently — and that is what they’ll get from Palin. We don’t need to look further than dubya bush to see what it takes to please the 24 percenters.

Hillary would love it if McCain wins.

Hillary just can not afford to have all the Obama folks blame HER for Obama’s failure.

Did you see the Al Smith dinner out-takes?

Hillary sure laughed harder, and smiled more, when McCain was talking.

Hillary looked rather cold and distant, when Obama spoke.

But we can continue to afford to pay for the rich to get even richer? With all the Bush tax cuts to the top 5% wealthy supposedly going to create jobs – where are all these jobs? Seems to me the top 5% that got tax cuts just kept the money and took it offshore to their private accounts?

Maybe they took them to Ireland for their low business taxes that McCain keeps ranting about.

Palin is more qualified than Obama, by a long shot!
Obama has NO executive experience other than running a left wing foundation that gave money to ACORN and other leftist groups, while Chicago schools continued to fail.
Obama has been supported by radicals and terrorists and criminals his entire career.
Obama’s only experience has been very, very bad experience with very bad people.

The bottom 50% pay hardly ANYTHING in taxes, today.
How much can you squeeze out of the productive members of society, before they decide to quit producing?
The top 5% in income, today, pay a higher percentage of the total tax revenue than they did under Clinton.
Do you wish to raise revenue, or do you wish to punish success?
    Those goals are mutually exclusive.

Senator Jim Webb, warming up a crowd at an Obama rally in the blue ridge area of Virginia, spoke about the first presidential decision of a candidate — choosing a running mate.

    ———-

“Do you really think that Sarah Palin is the most qualified person in the Republican party?”

Webb made a reference to the lyrics of a country music song by Dierks Bentley that includes the refrain, “I know what I was feeling but what was I thinking?”

But the Virginia senator’s quotation of the lyrics was slightly off. “I know what I was doing, but what was I thinking?” he said.

Webb said that “John McCain is probably singing that song right now.”

Palin is far more qualified than Obama.

Palin has actually accomplished some things, in her life.

Obama has done nothing good, ever.

Chicago schools are a failure, even after Obama was put in charge of a leftist foundation that handed out millions of dollars in “education” funding.

Chicago schools have a high drop out rate.

Chicago teachers spend less time, in the classroom, than teachers anywhere else in the country.

25% of Chicago teachers make over $100,000 a year, which explains why most CHILDREN born to Chicago teachers, go to PRIVATE schools.

Chicago High School kids have the highest homicide rates, in the country.

By the way, most of the low income housing projects that Obama and convicted slum lord Rezco promoted, in Chicago, are either closed and boarded up, or are crime infested hell holes.

Palin, on the other hand, defeated a corrupt Republican governor, and then pushed the oil companies to negotiate a better deal for Alaska.

Palin also negotiated one of the largest public works projects in history, a new natural gas pipeline that will go through Canada to the “lower 48″.

Obama can not hold a candle to Palin.

Palin is FAR more qualified than Obama.

  48. Franklin
    Posted October 19, 2008 at 5:18 am | Permalink

    BJ you are lying again.
    Palin never censored any books.

    On the other hand?

Obama has tried to shut down radio stations that ran programs that Obama did not like.

Also, Palin has not broken any laws, even the Alaska legislative investigation admitted that Palin had the authority to do what she did, when she fired a supervisor who had gone over budget, and had traveled out of state, on taxpayer funds, without permission.

Also? That same supervisor refused to fire a trooper who tasered Palin’s nephew, threated Palin’s father’s life, got drunk in a squad car and had been written up several times for other forms of misconduct!
