If Barack Obama’s former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, thinks less of the Democratic presidential candidate for his harsh remarks last spring, Wright didn’t let it show Sunday from the pulpit of a New Jersey church: “Twenty years ago, a scrawny little kid, pointed nose, big-eared, mama from Kansas, daddy from Kenya — the Lord told him, an ordinary black boy, ‘You can be a state senator and you can bring folk to the bargaining table who not only do not talk to one another, these folk don’t like one another.’ He did what the Lord said, an ordinary black boy like Mary was an ordinary little girl. Not only did he become a state senator, this black boy with an African daddy from Kenya and a white American mama from Kansas, he had the audacity to hope, so he ran for the United States Senate. And now, oh, my God, and now — whoo!”

I wonder if Palin’s nutter church will get half the attention Obama’s former church received. Probably not, Palin’s pastor is White.
Here’s a look at the nutty church:
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=5K_1Eit0pxM
Too bad they left out the sermon about the Jews deserving the persecution they received, but at the end they got the bit about the war in Iraq being a holy war and how we must eradicate all the infidels.
Good morning, MP. It is good Rev Wright has bought into Maggie Sanger’s “Negro Project” so that you can deem him O-Tay.
http://www.blackgenocide.org/negro.html
Is that Lolspeak bjb?
Never mind, you are just ignorant about history. The big giveaway is that you had to go to a fundy anti-choice website. How about reading Sanger’s works before making such an ignorant conclusion.
Palin looks forward to the destruction of America so it can bring more people to Alaska and belong to the “true” church of Christ.

This paper is showing its bias more and more every day. A topic praising the ‘rise of Obama’ today, two attacks on the GOP yesterday, 7 Palin threads in a row with 6 of them negative.
This paper at least has thrown away the masquerade of pretending to be impartial.
I thought Randy might come up with a headline like,
“Reverend Wright and his Black-bread Church back the One”
Obama’s former church and pastor are much explored. Let’s know more about Sarah Palin and HER church and pastor.
She IS, as far as I know the first Pentecostal to run for high office. Among the more pious things THOSE folks do is rolling around on the floor and speaking gibberish they call “tongues”. Indeed, Sarah thinks that “the gay” can be prayed away and her pastor says anybody who disagrees with george bush is going to hell.
A state senator, not even an ordinary black boy was with me that night. It was nice to hear what was new with them and discovered that The big giveaway did not change at all. A state senator was indeed really hot.
Why wouldn’t the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and the Obamanation speak highly of each other…they are cut from the same cloth.
Read what else the “Rev.” has to say:

Is Obama’s Ex-Pastor, Jeremiah Wright, an Anti-American, Racist, Antisemitic Hatemonger?
Jeremiah Wright spew his “righteous” indignation against white people, the nation of Israel and America. After hearing his “sermons,” I must say I am more than repulsed by his rhetoric.
http://777denny.wordpress.com/2008/03/15/is-obamas-ex-pastor-jeremiah-wright-an-anti-american-racist-anti-semite-hatemonger/
A person can’t sit listening to a man like Jeremiah Wright for over 20+ years in a church setting and not agree with much of what the man says.
So, according to his pastor, the Lord spoke to Obama to tell him to go into politics. OK. Still, small voice.
If this true, I wonder why Obama doesn’t talk about it, why he doesn’t give Him the glory?
Is that why his campaign is failing?
It is indeed sad that the right has chosen to take the first shot in attacking people on their faith.
But since they have chosen that battleground? Let us better know the faith of Sarah Palin. She wanted to decide what people could and could not read. I am interested in better knowing the gospel according to Sarah Palin. I understand she believes that gay people can be prayed straight?
B.J.
“She wanted to decide what people could and could not read”
And just what is the source of that smear BJ? You find it credible?
B.J.
And just who has the Right attacked based on their faith?
“She wanted to decide what people could and could not read.”
As usual BlueJay you spew lies and spread lies to try and further your point.
Let everyone, that doesn’t already, know BlueJay’s posts are usually slimy lies.

“She did not demand that books be banned from the Wasilla library. Some of the books on a widely circulated list were not even in print at the time. The librarian has said Palin asked a “What if?” question, but the librarian continued in her job through most of Palin’s first term.”
BJ
Tell us all, what books did Palin not want people to read? If you can.

Actually, perhaps you should read the works of Sanger before you go calling others ignorant. She supported eugenics through forced birth control, believing the government should actively pursue a plan to prevent breeding among those members of the population that she found inferior. Here’s a good place to start: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Sanger. It’s sort of the Cliff’s Notes version… Hopefully that will help you keep up.
“And just who has the Right attacked based on their faith?”
Right wing radio shill Sean Hannity began the assault on Pastor Wright’s and Barack Obama’s former church more than a year ago.
“Tell us all, what books did Palin not want people to read? If you can.”
I’m afraid we will have to wait and see if Sarah Palin will be more specific on that.
She asked the town librarian if she would be ok with books being removed from the library should it become necessary.
Just WHAT makes necessary the removal of books from a library? A book comes out that Sarah Palin does not like?
Her pastor gives her a list?
When the librarian said that under NO circumstances would she allow books to be removed from the library, Sarah Palin threatened to fire her.
BJ
I repeat-”And just who has the Right attacked based on their faith?”
Let me spell it out for you. Give me an example of the Right attacking someone based on their faith. Not on hate they may spew in their church, but on their faith.
BJ
So you are saying that she didnt try to ban any books?
That would mean that you’ve been lying about her trying to ban books.
Glad we got that straightend out.
BJ
“When the librarian said that under NO circumstances would she allow books to be removed from the library, Sarah Palin threatened to fire her.”
False.
Go check your facts boy.
“So you are saying that she didnt try to ban any books?”
I am saying, and the record IS clear, that Sarah Palin asked the town librarian if she would be ok with books being removed from the library should it become necessary.
WHY would it become necessary to remove books from a library?
I’m not sorry you are becoming upset Heckler.
The facts are on my side.
BJ
You’ve insinuated that Palin tried to ban books.
That is false.
You’ve stated that Palin threatened to fire a librarian because she would fight banning books.
That is false.
You’ve stated that the Right attacked Wright because of his faith.
That is false.
You’re not doing well today B.J.
The only smear that’s sticking is the one in your shorts.
But we are getting off track.
This is the umpteenth thread we have had on Barack Obama’s former church and pastor.
I ask for a thread on Sarah Palin and HER church and pastor.
She IS, I understand, the first Pentecostal that has run for high office. Since we are attacking faith, I’ll opine that certain of Pentecostal church behaviors are….unusual.
B.J.
“Since we are attacking faith”
“we” being the Left.
I am comfortable in the honesty and accuracy of what I have posted here heckler.
If you can prove me inaccurate or dishonest? You have all day to do it.
Have you noticed that every virtually every political thread ends up at Sarah Palin? The libs recognizes they have few positives to talk about with Obama and therefore are desperate to destroy Sarah Palin.
Now we will see attacks on her religion. Something that has been sacredly off limits in our country, but will be cynically set aside in their pathetic desperation.
Just watch.
But don’t let them get away with it.
BeeJay- If you can prove me inaccurate or dishonest? You have all day to do it.

Much easier than trying to defend fact that the Ones pastor is a bigoted, anti-american, racist…

They’ll lose that battle desperately with the only response being – “Jeremiah Wright”.
Its entertaining as heck to watch them soil themselves however as the coronation isn’t the lock it was 6 weeks ago.
I wonder how the Reverend Wright is doing in his multi million retirement home?
It appears that the impoverished members of Wright’s former Church donated enough pennies and nickels through the years for Wright to retire in luxury.
Perhaps Wright go a special deal through convicted felon Rezco real estate?
Outlander that is off limits until – Romneys mormonism or Palins evangelical faith. Do you get the impression that the left wingnuts in the MSM are desperate?
Just like this blog. Off limits for someone like Nathan to talk about it but the left kooks bring it up on a daily basis to use as a weapon against the right.
Just announced a 20 pt. swing in the “white woman” vote in McCains direction.
Not surprising.
But, why would a black woman, vote for a black man?
BJ Palin is a member of a Non denominational Evangelical Christian Church. That isn’t a penecostal church. Not that she couldn’t be penecostal if she wanted to be. But you need to get your facts straight which would be a first for you.
By your logic Obama is the first black to run for high office so we should make his ‘blackness’ a topic of discussion.
The left is getting desperate.
I wonder why we haven’t heard what the Ones “black agenda” is.
If you look as his record, about 90% of his sponsored or co-sponsored bills have to do with promoting blacks. Just a fact. Is this “topic” off limits too?
Interesting correlation between the mother of Jesus and ‘The One’. Wright was just laying back gathering steam so he could help out if The One ran into any trouble.
Well he hit trouble big time in the little lady from Alaska. McCain couldn’t have made a better choice.
Thanks Eagle for your obvious bias. Look at the national MSM and see how well that is working.
The GOP is laughing all the way to the White House with these baseless accusations against Gov. Palin. With every attack, McCain gains 3 pts in the polls.
Keep it up, loony libs.

Repariations is the answer.
Poor Obummer. Wright just won’t stay under the bus.
okobserver, the Assembly of God is the largest denomination of Pentecostal churches. I suppose in some warped way the biggest one is non-denominational but I can’t figure out fundy reasoning. Then again, their denomination declared that God magically implanted gold teeth into a person’s mouth through faith healing.
I suppose that’s why McCain doesn’t talk about his health care plan, he’ll just have Palin pray over everyone.
