RealClearPolitics ranks Kansas’ 2nd District at No. 13 among the top 25 competitive congressional races, commenting: “Democrats in Kansas usually only win when moderate and conservative Republicans are at each other’s throats. So when State Treasurer Lynn Jenkins (R) won quick and unconditional support from her primary foe, ex-Rep. Jim Ryun (R), the GOP’s chances of taking an ordinarily very Republican seat grew almost exponentially. Rep. Nancy Boyda (in photo) has also refused national party money, handing Jenkins a big advantage.”

Jenkins has no problem changing her tune and accepting funds from the national Republican party. Hard to find an honest Republican these days.
An “honest politician” isn’t that a contradiction of terms?
Boyda wants to run as a non-Democrat?
Good luck to her then.
contradiction of terms=oxymoron
Thank you couldn’t for the life of me remember what that word was at the time
Boyda was a flash in the pan for the dims in the 06 elections. The dims lost this one as soon as it was won. She has tried to distance herself from the dims. Can’t blame her for that one. heh, heh, heh
Jenkens will win if she can sufficiently distance herself from the Repukes.
Nancy Boyda broke the faith. She did everything wrong which she campaigned against Ryun for.
She accepted earmarks, she participated in near record earmarks (only exceeded by republicans totals in 2006), she didn’t balance the budget, AND she voted AYE for budget breaking bills which increased the national debt. And remember her decrying Ryun for not passing any of the appropriation acts on time? Well guess what? The democrats didn’t finish up until 28 December with one huge Act to cover it all. No discussion or review. Just rushed it out the door.
In short, based upon the very same reasons Boyda gave me to vote for her – I will be voting against her this time. She was not one bit better. (Even if her husband is a former USMC SSgt.)
Who should care whether a pro-abortion, racist Democrat or Republican wins this House seat?
